2. Special Projects - Chapter Related. Please list special chapter projects and/or ideas for chapter projects from the last two years. Think about benefits reaped from each
special project and jot it down as well.
For the 2005-2006 program year, the ARMA Mile High Denver Chapter Holiday Project was the Court Appointed Special Advocates of Adams and Broomfield Counties
(CASA). At the December breakfast meeting, the Chapter President, and Chapter Secretary presented the Executive Director of CASA of Adams & Broomfield Counties
donations totaling $675. The Chapter donated $500 with the remaining $175 donated by individual members. Recall (vendor) matched the chapter’s $500 donation. Total
donation for the chapter’s holiday project was $1,175.
For the 2004-2005 program year, the ARMA Mile High Denver Chapter Holiday Project was Heifer International. The generous membership donations enabled the chapter
to purchase a ―Knitting Basket‖ (includes two llamas and two sheep—one male and one female of each—four animals famous for their warm, income-producing wool) that
will help make it possible for struggling families to help themselves have better lives, provide shelter, and feed their families by earning extra income from this gift.
CHAPTER HI-LITES -- "TIME TO SHINE"
Please list your top three hi-lites for chapter year 2004-2005 (chapter accomplishments) and what you attribute their success to.
th
The Chapter celebrated its 35 anniversary!
Record attendance at the monthly chapter program meetings. Average attendance in 2004-2005 program year was 59, a 9% increase over attendance during 2003-2004
program year. This success is attributed to:
o Holding our meetings primarily in 1 location.
o The location was moved this year to a downtown Denver location (which has brought in more members and guests from the downtown area).
o Holding meetings at times when more people choose to attend (lunch meetings).
o Successful communication channels (member email list, website, chapter newsletter, listservs, and the ARMA calendar of events) targeted at members and
interested guests. The Chapter President significantly increased the number of program announcements and reminders sent out via email and saw a good
registration response as a result.
o The consistent quality of the speakers and programs.
Redesigned the chapter website to make it more user-friendly and to increase our ability to provide more information to membership. New content additions include, but are not
limited to:
o What is RIM?
o Lists of new members, past chapter presidents, and chapter awards
o Policies and procedures including privacy policy statement
o Articles of interest
o FAQ section
o Posting speaker presentations (with permission)
o Added email auto-confirmation to the online meeting registration process.
Implemented a scholarship award for the Chapter Member of the Year. The person selected as chapter member of the year will receive up to $2,500 to attend the annual
ARMA conference. We hope this will encourage members to become more involved with the chapter.
Chapter President volunteered to develop and maintain a website for the Midwest/Rocky Mountain region. Website was published December 2004.

CHAPTER LO-LITES -- "LESSONS LEARNED"
Please list chapter lo-lites, avenues sought to correct and possible insights for avoidance or handling better.
The chapter offered two concurrent workshops in March. The feedback received from attendees stated that they wanted to attend both workshops, but since they had to make
a choice, the majority chose to attend the electronic records workshop. They also stated that they hoped the workshops would be offered again in the future. Based on the
feedback, the chapter should either offer only one workshop OR shorten the allotted time for a workshop and offer two workshops back-to-back.
