DAY 1.

UNWAVERING FAITH - (1)
Today’s Bible Quotation: Have faith in the Lord your God and you will be upheld – (2nd
Chronicles 20:20).
Olympic Gold Medallist Christine Ohunuogo’s unwavering faith transformed
her from unknown to a world champion! Her victory made her the first British
female Olympic 400m champion.
Ohunuogo, who became commonwealth champion in 2006 and world
champion in 2007, has a devotion and commitment to God that enables her to
confess openly her prime reason for running. She said “I wanted to know that
when I run I can do so to glorify His name, and running is the sort of thing I
believe He has given me”.
As we face daily challenges of our existence, we can confidently take refuge
in God’s omnipotence and care. Since we know that without HIM, we can do
nothing. We will be helping ourselves by having an unwavering faith in HIM.
As we go into this new month, let us know that God cares for us so much as
to take upon Himself the burden of our lives, if we have unwavering faith in HIM.
Determine to walk by faith and not by sight this month.

PROPHETIC PRAYER FOR THE DAY

Let the spirit of favour fall on me in Jesus Name. Father, enlarge my
coast in Jesus Name.

Scripture Reading: 2nd Kings 4:8-37.

\DAY 2.

UNWAVERING FAITH - (2)
                           (FROM TRAGEDY TO TRIUMPH)

Today’s Bible Quotation: “…All things are possible with God - (Mark 10:27).
(We continue today‟s devotional from Ohunuogu‟s story of yesterday)
What is impressive about Ohunuogu, is that for all the highs and lows, she has always
maintained her faith. Her story is one of tragedy to triumph. Two years ago, Ohunuogu‟s
Olympic dreams were in ruins after she was handed a one year ban for missing three drug‟s
tests. Under the British Olympic association laws, any drug offence results in an automatic
lifetime ban from future games. Many thought this would be the end of her career. Nothing
could have been further from the truth.
After the initial disappointment, Ohunuogu spent the year focusing on her training. Her
suspension expired on August 5, 2007, in time for the World Athletics Championship in
Osaka, Japan, where she made the final of the 400m and took home a gold medal!
The British Olympic Association appeals cleared her for Olympic selection and
consequently she won a gold medal!
However, throughout this time, Ohunuogu found herself on the negative side of the press.
Ohunuogu maintained that it was her Christian faith that sustained her through the stormy
times. You have to believe that everything that happens has a set path, that it is planned out
before. So you have to trust that whatever happens to you is for the best. It may not seem to
be the best at the time, but you have to trust that it has a divine purpose. We have to
remember that in life, circumstances won‟t always keep us low. Things will change; things
will get better, since things happen for a reason.

                            PROPHETIC PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Every inherited failure in my life, die in the name of Jesus.
Further Study: Psalm 46:1-3; Hebrew 10:32-39.
Scripture Reading: Matthew 4:1-11.

DAY 3.

WORD’S SECOND SURVIVING OCTUPLETS THIS MIRACLE CAN
                                        BE YOURS!
Today’s Bible Quotation: “Who contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that the became the father
of many nations, according to the word spoken” - Romans 4:18.
A United State woman gave birth to eight Babies at a time only the second in history,
OCTUPLETS have survived more than a few hours, doctors said. The mother gave birth to six
boys and two girls weighing between 1, pound, 8 ounces and 3 pounds, 4 ounces, doctors at
Kaiser Permantee Bellflower medical centre - said.
The hospital had scheduled a caesarean section for seven babies, but doctors were surprised
when an eighth came out at 10.48am. Doctors said the babies were born nine weeks premature
but were in stable condition. Two newborns were placed on ventilators and a third needs oxygen.
The Doctors in charge of the in facts – Dr. Mandhir Gupta said “the mother is a very strong
woman, so she probably will be able to handle all eight babies!”
The world’s first live octuplets were born in March 1967 in Mexico city, but all the babies
died within 4 hours, according to Encyclopedia Britanica.
The United State first live octuplets were born in Houston in December 1998. They were
three months premature. Here Dr. Harold Henry, chief of maternal and fetal medicine at the
hospital. “Despite weeks of preparation, we did not expect the eighth child. Ultra sound doesn’t
show you everything”. The mother checked into the hospital in her 23rd week of pregnancy and
gave birth seven weeks later. “All eight babies will probably remain in the hospital for at least
two months and the mother should be released in a week, said Dr. Karen Maples, one of the
Doctor in charge.
Dr. Richard Paulson, director of fertility programme at the University of Southern California
said “For people who use fertility drugs, the vast majority of births – 80 percent – are single
babies. Among multiple births, the most common are twins”.
It’s easier to control the number of births through in vitro fertilization which involves
combining egg and sperm in a lab dish and transferring the embryo into the uterus. Fertility
drugs induce or enhance ovulation and couples often opt for selective reduction, in which women
carrying multiple fetuses reduce to number of viable fetuses to two.
You can see that this is a MIRACLE BIRTH!, which deferred medical predications! This type
of miracle and more can be yours! But you have to have HOPE, in the God you are serving!
Today, so many people have come to believe that having hope is actually wrong. They think life is
better based on fate and not faith. Fate is whatever life can bring but faith is the assurance of
what God can do. If you cannot be hopeful then you cannot wait to see the great doing of God in
your life. Are you looking for the fruits of the womb? Want to expel devourers from your
earnings? Want to return to sender, arrows of disgrace, losses and dishonour which is tagged at
your life? I pray you will outlast your challenges of life! When there’s no way out of our
challenges, just remain afloat. If we cannot win over our challenges, let’s outlast them. Whatever
we are going through will eventually come to an end
In today’s Bible quotation (Roman 4:18), though Abraham had reasons to be hopeless yet he
retained his hope in the sure word of God. Your hope will move God to action. Even though he
was old, he had experienced several years of childlessness, his wife had passed the stage of
menopause, yet he knew that God’s word was too certain.
If only you can change your mind and start to hope in God’s promises for your against all
odds, then God’s word will start to have His course in your life and the miracle that happened in
today inspirational story will happen to you in Jesus name. Romans 12:12 says: “I rejoice and
exalt in hope, I‟m steadfast and patient in suffering and tribulation, constant in prayer”. You have
to constantly be on your kneels for God’s promises to be fulfilled in your life.
                            PROPHETIC PRAYER FOR THE DAY
O Lord, disgrace every negative medical report concerning my body or my spouse’s body. Lord
ignite a miracle on this matter in Jesus name.

Scripture Reading: Isaiah 54:1-7; 1st Sam. 1:1-end.

DAY 4.
                                   BELIEVE IN YOURSELF

Today’s Bible Quotation: “Lord, I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief” -
Mark 9:24
Obama‟s win is a milestone in American‟s racial and cultural evolution. It is 45
years since Martin Luther King; looked forward to the day when his children
would not be judged by the colour of their skin but by the content of their
character. An almost unbelievable, dream that has now become a reality in the
shape of American‟ first African – American leader and its first black first family!
It is a day many thought they would never see.
Mr. Obama took oath of office in January, 2009, amidst massive unrealizable
expectation and facing a daunting list of problems, including rebuilding the
economy and the banking system. Obama believed, he could make a change, the
American people needed. He admitted however that he was never the likeliest
candidate for the office of the President of American.
Just in today‟s reading, Senator Obama did not allow the colour of his skin to
be a barrier. He had faith in God as the man whose a mute spirit. When Jesus saw
his faith, He was moved by his faith, and his miracle came.
Jesus has come to qualify you. You don‟t have to belong to any particular
family/race. Yours is just good enough. Never you take „no‟ for an answer. Be
determined to breakthrough. This month has come to usher in some great things
into your life. You must stand strong on your feet, and you will make it.
Further Study: Mark 9:5-24; Psalm 3:1-8.
Scripture Reading: Matthew 3:1-end

DAY 5.

                                  BE FOCUSED
(Viewing centers thrive better than libraries!)

Today’s Bible Quotation: “…If therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body
shall be full of light” – Matthew 6:22.
“In Nigeria, today, libraries are not enjoying good patronage. But should
they be set up near football viewing centers found in many communities across
Nigeria, libraries will be worse off”. These were the words of the Kwara State
   Education Commissioner, Mr. Bolaji Abdullahi.
The level of distractions today are too high. Our students will watch
premiership games and continually browse the internet at the expense of their
studies. This situation is bad enough that if today, you set up a viewing center
beside the library, you are likely to get more patronage at the center than at the
library! Most of our youth are not focused. Unfocused person cannot be lifted and
will remain untransformed. The opposite of been focused is to be distracted. If you
will not focus on your pursuit you cannot be an achiever!
In today‟s Bible quotation, Jesus was giving a teaching on being focused. He
said no one can serve two masters and not fail. Be careful to identify your goal and
purpose, focus on it alone. And you will find the rest of thing in life following
you. This is a month/year loaded with wonders for you, don‟t wonder about in
distraction.
                    PROPHETIC PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Lord, make me a goal getter this month and this year.
Further Study: Matthew 6:21-30

Scripture Reading: Psalm 6:1-10: Proverbs 1:29-33.

DAY 6.

YOU CAN WIN AGAINST THE ODDS BY THINKING POSITIVE
Today’s Bible Quotation: “This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand that
all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel” - 1st Samuel 17:46.
Loveth Omafuaire and Ufuoma Egbamuno, may not be siblings but they share
certain things. They are students in the Department of English and Literary Studies
at the Delta State University (DELSU). Also, both are physically challenged.
Loveth was born blind, while Ufuoma lost the use of his limb, a month before
his third birthday. Even though they see themselves as no different from other
people, life has been challenging all the same. “My major challenge has been
psychological” Ufuoma reveals. “It took me a great deal of mental courage to get
to where I am now. I used to feel sorry for myself until, I devised this maxim-
disability is a thing of the mind, one can achieve anything as long as one thinks
positive. Since then, it‟s been much more easier for me as I have made major
breakthroughs”.
When they were asked if they experienced high moments or has it always been
challenges and difficulties? Loveth says God has been her mainstay. “His place in
my life cannot be over emphasized. He has indeed been very good to me”. While
Ufuoma confessed that, he had a lot to thank God for His wonderful mercies over
him. He recount while in JSS 2, he represented his secondary school in a quiz
competition for SS 3 students. In addition, he fulfilled his dream of becoming the
President of the National Association of Student English and Literary Studies
(NASELS), DELSU chapter.
So, what have been their driving forces? For Ufuoma, the belief that he was
born great and would one day assume an exalted position in life drives him on.
Loveth sees her challenges and encouragement from her friends, roommates and
family as her driving force.
There may be challenging situation that may look as though, it is going to
break us down completely. But we must not allow those situations to break our
faith. You need to know that the moment your faith and your hope are destroyed,
you can lose your vision and your future together. So, it must not happen.
Understand that no matter how great or long the battle might be, you are destined
to win (I John 5:4).

                         PROPHETIC PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Lord, make me to always see you in front.
Further Study: 1st Samuel 17:41-50
Scripture Reading: Psalm 42.

DAY 7.
FEAR NOT, TRUST IN GOD AND REMAIN UNSHAKABLE (1)
Today’s Bible Quotation: “But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like
a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed” (James 1:6).
Before now she could neither walk normally nor stand upright without having pains in her
two legs. In fact she used to bend or sit in pains. She has visited many hospitals until she was told
that she had to replace her two knee caps through surgical operation.
When she heard this, FEAR enveloped her when she was told what would be the end result of
the said operation. She could be confined into a wheelchair for life or she could die during or
after the operation as many did. But full of PRAYERS, she went to a private hospital in
Nottingham, London where she submitted herself to the surgeon‟s knife. She came back to
Nigeria after the successful operation. That is Reverend (Mrs) Edith Iloh, wife of Dr. Moses Iloh,
the President of Eclectical Network Church.
Mrs. Iloh could not submit herself to the Nigerian surgeons because of the FEAR of what
they claimed it could result to. She said “the truth is that many had died after the operation and
many too have been confined to the wheelchair”. She gave example of a wealthy Nigerian who
went to Germany for same surgical operation, later to America but eventually died few months
after the operation.
Are you confronted with a situation like the above and you are gripped with fear? Philippians
4:6, says, you should stop. The Bridegroom says in John 14:1, “let not your heart be troubled.
The moment you become anxious and worried on a problem, you are telling God that you no
longer believe in HIM. What is making you anxious? What are your fears? Take them to the
Lord in prayer and faith and leave them there. The Lord will make a way for you. Start trusting
and stop worrying. It shall be well with you.(TO BE CONTINUED TOMORROW).
                           PROPHETIC PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Ask God to open your spiritual EYES, to see HIM in every situation.
Further Study: James 1:5-8.
Scripture Reading: Matthew 6:25-34.

DAY 8.
FEAR NOT, TRUST IN GOD AND REMAIN UNSHAKABLE (2)
Today’s Bible Quotation: “Be careful for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication
with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God (Philippians 4:6).
Continuing today‟s devotional from Rev (Mrs) Iloh surgical operation story of yesterday.
On how she eventually made up her mind, Madam Iloh said she PRAYED with her husband
and family members, but later she was convinced to go for it. However, when she got to
Nottingham hospital, she remembered what the Nigerian doctors said, all negative and horrifying
words, but she REMAINED UNSHAKABLE. She remembered the words of Nigerian Doctors
that she may be confined in a wheelchair for life, but she said it is NOT HER PORTION.
Hear her “on the operation table the devil appeared to me and threatened me that I would not
come back alive but I REBUKED him and called him a LIAR. I said he cannot kill. That was the
last time I saw the devil.. I was then sedated and given tranquilizer. I slept off and when I woke
up, I found myself in the ward surrounded by doctors”.
She recovered quickly, such that on the third day after the operation, she was able to walk
around!
As a believer, you need to learn to live by FAITH. You many be faced with terrible situation
of life. You don‟t need to be afraid, it is in the midst of darkness that light shines. And it is in the
mist of all of these problems that you shall be celebrated. Let your life be based on God‟s word
and not what you see as said in Philippians 4:6 read in today‟s bible quotation.
                            PROPHETIC PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Ask the Lord to let your faith increase in your heart.
Further Study: Genesis 25:1-2, Romans 4:16-25.
Scripture Reading: Mark 11:22-24; Hebrews 11.

DAY 9.

IN THE FACE OF DESPAIR, BELIEVE THERE IS HOPE
Today’s Bible Quotation: “We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed
and broken. We are perplexed but we don‟t give up and quit” - 2nd Cor. 4:8 (NLT)
Life is a bagful of diverse gifts for different people. To some, it comes with loads of
pleasantries, while to others, life deals them, endless unpleasant blows. For Kehinde Martins,
31, young and pretty by every standard, life is a cane and a whip that has beaten her without
mercy for almost as long as she had lived. Now, her heart is heavy and she shed tears daily
wishing that fate could turn things around for her. She is sad because life has been cruel to
her!
She was born hale and hearty. By the time she started ramble-walk, her legs were fit. So,
she walked and ran with her two legs like any other children of age. And so, life had
continued normally for her until suddenly at 24, she became crippled. And since then till
now, she has not gained the normal use of her two legs.
Recounting the story of her life: “We were on our way back to Lagos that the vehicle we
boarded got involved in a ghastly accident. I knew it affected my legs but it was mild then”,
she narrated. “I visited several hospitals including Igbobi Orthopaedic, where I was told that
nothing was wrong with my two legs. So I was just given some pain –relieving drugs to take.
Afterwards, I did x-rays which also showed that my legs were normal”. But one sad day, her
hope was abruptly dashed. She had gone to bed hale the previous night – But when she woke
up the next morning, she could not lift her legs again!
“On that sad morning, when I woke up, I lifted my legs but they seemed too heavy. I tried
several times but still nothing happened. Then, I shouted and cried and started crawling like a
baby. That was how my sad tale began at the age of 24! Along the line, I was told it
was a spiritual attack”.
Kehinde, is like the biblical job of our modern day. Her list of calamities are many! At
age 19, she gave birth to a son and after 12 years, the father of the child came back and latter
left because of her cripple condition! She later developed another relationship with another
young man which resulted to the birth of a baby. When the baby died, the young man walked
away. She latter met and began a third relationship with a man called Azzez. And when she
found out that she was pregnant, she said: “I almost became mad. And to compound the
situation, the man left me and ran away again”. For all she had gone through, Kehinde said
many times she had thought of committing suicide or to abort the pregnancy. But on each
occasion, a strange voice, tells her not to do it.
To compound the whole problem, the father is blind. According to her, “My father is
blind. He became blind some years ago and that was why he left the civil service. He does
not go out alone. All the burdens now lay on my poor mother”. The mother is the one
catering for the blind husband and the daughter, who is on the wheel chair and pregnant! -
Hear the old mother “I am tired of this life and I hope I will not die in this problem”.
No matter floods of problem you might be facing. DO NOT GIVE UP. Don‟t quit (2nd
Corinth. 4:8). In the face of despair, believe there is hope! Psalm 69:3 says: “I am weary of
my crying: my throat is dried. Mine eyes falls, while I wait for my God”. If you wait unto
God, He will surely answer you – Contemplating suicide or to abort a pregnancy, which
Kehinde Martins was thinking of, is not a solution. Do not permit any circumstance to
intimidate you. Never surrender to discouragement/ despair, no matter the seeming obstacles
that may confront you. Be courageous and not be dismay in the face of odds!
No matter how difficult things may seem, we must always have hope because of the
coming of Jesus Christ. God is in control of everything that happens, and he will work things
out for our good.
                         PROPHETIC PRAYER FOR THE DAY
O Lord, thou that brought Israel out of captivity after 430 years, bring me out of every
captivity this month in Jesus‟ name.
Further Study: Isaiah 25:3-5
Scripture Reading: 2nd Cor. 4; Jonah 2:1-10; Psalm 118:8-23.

DAY 10.
PLAY YOUR PART & BE YOURSELF (1)
Today’s Bible Quotation: “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the
LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call
upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall
seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. – Jeremiah 29:11-
13.
Everything about her changed immediately she got the crown. “I got a new car, a new
wardrobe, more opportunities, more people wanted to be my friends. I met many
dignitaries (met 10 state governors) and my persception about everything changed, she
enthused. She is counted lucky as she was crowned the Most Beautiful Girl in Abuja
2008, just 24 hours to her 18th Birthday. Grace Ndem Sumuko is an undergraduate of
Mass Communication, Nasarawa State University, she recalls “There are days I would
just want to be myself, sit and play with my friends, but would be compelled to be at an
event or at a meeting with dignitaries due to my projects”.
She said “Almost all the men I met wanted more than courtesy visits. Some of them
will call me and ask if we could meet at some place. Politely I would turn them down.
After several calls to my phone, they would give up. It shows the moral decadence in our
society”.
Confessing that the crown has also robbed her of a genuine relationship. She further
said “that I am now a beauty queen does not mean that I am given a special treatment at
home. At home, I am Grace, who cooks, washes my mother‟s clothes and participates in
other chores. I dare not come home late because I would incur my mother‟s wrath. “To
my mother, you are first a child and you must adhere to the rules in the house”.
To go far, in “University of Life” you have to be self disciplined. You don‟t have to
loose your head! You are to be yourself and play your part! Consequently God will
continue to do new things in your life as He did in the life of Beauty Queen Grace Ndem
Sumuko in today‟s inspirational story. God is a God of several opportunities. He is a God
of another chance. He can bring a change, as He brought change to the life of Grace
Sumuko from an unknown student to a beauty Queen! Change is possible with God. Even
though He changeth not, yet His programmes are not static.
Please know that it is never too late to have a change or to get it right. Dr. David
Oyedepo said: “No matter how far away you have gone from divine plan, it‟s never late
to be right”. Therefore, take courage now and say to God, “Lord, get me back on the right
track of your plan for my life”. God is committed in leading you, if you are committed to
following Him!
Today‟s Bible quotations is saying that God has a good purpose for creating you, you
are designed to fulfil a great assignment here on earth. But you have to go to Him to
locate what it is. You must ask Him to show you what it is. You are to position yourself
to be guided by God, this will make a lot of different in your pursuit.
                      PROPHETIC PRAYER FOR THE DAY
O Lord help me to stay on course with my divine plan and protect my destiny and shield
them from the evil that beset others in Jesus Name.
Further Study: 1st Pet. 2:9; 1st Cor. 7:20, 25; Exod. 23:20-23.
Scripture Reading: Isa. 5:1-13; Psalm 37.

DAY 11.
PLAY YOUR PART & BE YOURSELF (2)
Today’s Bible Quotation: “Before I formed thee in the belly, I knew thee, and before
thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto
the nations” - Jeremiah 1:5.
We continue today‟s devotional from the Grace Ndam Sumuko, the outgoing Most
Beautiful Girl in Abuja story of yesterday.
Her height and eyes remain her greatest assets. Right from her childhood, people had
been talking about her height. She is 5ft 11ins! Even before she was interested, she
already knew how to cat walk and be graceful. Hear her. “Though I never knew that I
would be a queen someday, I knew that my height would get me somewhere”.
Was there any fear that she would not win the pageant? “Yes, while were in camp, I
saw other beautiful girls and there was this particular girl going round with the story that
she would win. I was really afraid that I would not win but God surprised me. I believe
beauty is about brain, brawn and what you can offer others. Beauty goes beyond make-up
or clothes”.
When asked if her friends have changed. Here her: “Everybody knows that I am
down to-earth. They know that I cannot stop being a friend to my friends just because I
wear a crown. My friends are there for me, nothing has changed in that aspect of my life.
I am still Grace and will still remain Grace, even when I become Miss World”.
God has deposited certain “gift” in you, in which, once identified will move you to
HIGHER GROUND. Just as the height of Miss Grace Sumuko (5ft 11in), got here
somewhere (Beauty queen). But you have to identify these special “gifts”. It is no
accident that you are different. There is something that you are created to do, and that
only a person with your qualities can do.
Yes, you might be skinner, heavier, shorter or slower. Those differences make you
unique. Think of diamonds, they are valuable not because they are like other rocks, but
because they are different. You, like diamonds, are unique and it‟s that uniqueness that
make you special! Remember you are special because you are different not because you
are like everybody else. Hear Leo Buscaglia: “The world is our incredible unfulfilled
tapestry. And only you can fulfill that tiny space that is yours”.
You must first understand that you did not just happen, you were made (Psalm 100:3,
139:14), to perform certain unique role in your office, ministry, family, community and
etc. Hear Bishop David Oyedepo: “You are a high tech product packaged to perform
certain well defined functions. Since no product determines his purpose, you cannot
determine your purpose, all you can do is to discover it”.
Today‟s Bible quotations is saying that before you were born, God had already
known what you will become. So you must find out, “what you are created to be”. You
need to find out from HIM what that plan is and pursue it with all fervency.
                      PROPHETIC PRAYER FOR THE DAY
O Lord, help me to locate my planting and abide there in Jesus name. Amen.

DAY 12.
                 DON’T GIVE INTO TEMPTATIONS (1)
Today’s Bible Quotation: Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of
God; for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man. But every
man, is tempted, when he is drawn of away if his own lust, and enticed” - James
1:13-14.
Not many politicians are as lucky as Hon. Stanley Ugochuckwu Ohajuruka. Twice
he was elected the Abia State House of Assembly and twice, he was speaker. By
his ninth year in politics, he won a seat at the lower chamber of the National
Assembly where he represents the Ikwuano/Umahia North/Umahia South Federal
constituency.
When he showed interest in 1999 after his master degree, there was less
opposition because people did not look at him as an individual, but by his family
name. They would say: “This is Ohajuruku‟s son and that resonated in their
psyche” “That has guided all my actions in the Abia political terrain and as a
legislator in Abuja” nothing shall bring down the family name” he says.
He believes that politics is about development of the society and change and
believe that a visionary leader should not compromise no matter what he goes
through.
He said his parents influenced his life a great deal. Hear him: “I had a strong
family pedigree and very religious. We were a conservative family with strong
societal values, which were inculcated from birth”. With my parents, it was strict
adherence to these values and I thank God for this because these values have
helped me politically”.
When asked if we had been tempted or ever succumbed to temptation. Hear
him: “If you have been brought up with the belief that engaging in illicit affair is
bad, then you would not indulge in it. I was brought up to abhor such things and
no matter the position I had attained, even when I was twice a speaker at the State
Assembly, I refused to give in to temptations”.
Hon. Stanley Ohajuruku is a good ambassador of his community. He exercised
Godliness with contentment! This is a good virtue for any child of God.
In I timothy 6:3-6, God‟s words explains to us about something that is of great
gain to us in contentment. The word contentment means to be at ease in every
situation or remain calm and not worry because of any challenge. You have to
have trust and faith in God that all is well and continue to be well.
Believe that God will supply all your need, and you don‟t have to be corrupt
before you get on in life. You are enjoyed to combine contentment with trust in
God. If you do this, the Bible say in Roman 10:11, that you will not be put in
shame. You are not what you have, but what you are, so even if something looks
reducing, you can always get it again. Just as in today‟s bible quotation (James
1:13&14), you are not to give in to temptation. God does not tempt anybody, the
devil does! Stop worrying and believe God to continue to sustain you by His
Grace.
                   PROPHETIC PRAYER FOR THE DAY
O Lord, give me grace to be contented.

DAY 13.
DON’T GIVE IN TO TEMPTATIONS (2)
Today’s Bible Quotation: Blessed is the man that endureth temptation, for when
he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to
them that love him” - James 1:2, 3, & 12.
From, yesterday‟s devotional on Hon. Stanley Ohajuruka story.
As a man, Hon. Stanley, will not say there are no temptations from the
opposite sex but he said, “you can easily ward that off by the family values that
have been imbibed in you”. I simply remember who I am and the family name I
must protect” When asked if there had been some money – politicking in Abia
State when he was speaker. He said “I am not too keen about acquiring wealth
because if I am, I would have been enticed by the kind of financial overtures
dangled before me to remove the state governor then!! But he believed the peoples
mandate should supersede any personal interest. That someone did not like the
face of the governor is not enough to remove him. We were determined and it was
like a battle then between the former governor of Abia and the presidency. “It
resulted in a political brinksmanship to the extent that certain financial accruals
were denied the state. Naturally, that should have made us more vulnerable but we
stood our ground and did not allow money to entice us. He said, money is not
everything to him, as long as he can pay his children‟s fees, be a responsible father
and husband, he does not have to be corrupt or be a money – politician. That act
made him a reference point in the state and made him continually relevant because
he decided to be on the side of the people and not money. He said “Living a
modest life is better than living ostentatiously and being corrupt”. When you are
contented with what you have, your drive towards corruption diminishes. Being
ostentatious is simply being attracted to corruption”.
Hon Stanley Ohajuruku is still relevant today in Abia state politics because he
shunned temptation! You too can refuse to be tempted. In today‟s bible quotations,
James 1:2, 3 & 12. God promised to bless the man that shun temptation and that a
glorious crown is awaiting the person that shuns temptation! But in Luke 22:40,
Jesus mandated us to pray, so as to overcome temptation. Therefore, when facing
any tempting situation. PRAYER is the answer.
One important thing to do in overcoming temptation is “self discipline”. “The
first and best victory” said Plato, “is to control self. To be conquered by self is, of
all things, the most shameful and vile”. In order to attain worthwhile achievement,
you must first exercise control of yourself, and must not choose money as the
purpose of living, and don‟t seek it more than God, since you cannot serve God
and mammon (Matt. 6:24)
                   PROPHETIC PRAYER FOR THE DAY
O Lord, deliver me from the spirit of money

DAY 14.

WRONG CHOICE
(HE DUMPED THE PULPIT FOR FETISH PRACTICE)
         (1)

Today’s Bible Quotation: “Word of the King‟s decision spread quickly
throughout all Israel,… the great wisdom God has given him to render decision
with justice” - 1st Kings 3:16-28.
If Samuel Tanko Ibrahim had any premonition of danger, he would have
abandoned his home for his patient turned wife. But those signs were hidden from
him and he was swept away by painful death. The late Ibrahim who was living
with Eunice at Bukan, Cid area in Lafia, was allegedly stabbed by the nursing
mother for allegedly straying into the laps of a mistress!
Ibrahim, once a fire-brand preacher and a pastor in a Pentecostal church at
Akeleku, some 20 kilometers away from the state capital, DUMPED the PULPIT,
some years ago for a career in FETISH PRACTICE. That was when he met
mentally deranged Eunice.
As at the time, the late Ibrahim‟s only resolve was to set her loose of the
Psychiatric enslavement, depressing situations are usually unfair to beauty. Thus,
Eunice blossomed even in beauty, with sanity restored, and arrested Ibrahim‟s
attention. Before long, they were in love, and this culminated in her becoming the
third wife.
The suspected murderer is believed to have been abandoned by her previous
husband, with whom she had four children, at the peak of her psychiatric problem.
She has since produced a five-month old daughter for Ibrahim.
The late herbalist never failed to respond to his innate desire for pretty women.
His first wife, it was learnt, now lives in Abuja with her five children, while the
second, who she married shortly after the pastoral experience, currently resides in
Keana local government area of the state.
If Samuel Tanko Ibrahim were to be given another opportunity to re-live his
life, I am sure he will never dump the pulpit for fetish practice, which eventually
caused him his life. In the “University of life”, the choice we make is very
important. You need the guidance of the Holy Spirit to make a good decision.
Since your decision has so much to do with your life, learn to have patience
and re-think of issue before taking a decision. Do not forget, He has promise to fill
your mouth when you open it with wisdom and power (Psalm 81:10, Luke 21:15).
The decisions of abandoning his home, and pulpit eventually swept away Samuel
Tanko Ibrahim! On the contrary, in today‟s bible quotations, king Solomon (as a
young man) had to face a time to give judgement to the people. So the critical case
in the quotation was brought before him. With God‟s wisdom, he decided and
gave a judgement that amazed every one (Isaiah 30:15).
Ask for God‟s wisdom to enable you to make a right choice!
                    PROPHETIC PRAYER FOR THE DAY
O Lord, fill my mouth as I open it with wisdom.

DAY 15.

WRONG CHOICE
(HE DUMPED THE PULPIT FOR FETISH PRACTICE)
         (2)

Today’s Bible Quotation: “A person without self control is as defenseless as a city
with broken down walls” - Prov. 25:28 – (NLT)
Continuing today‟s devotional from yesterday Samuel Tanko Ibrahim story.
Eunice was arrested and was paraded with other suspects, at the Police
Command in Lafia. Narrating her story, Eunice explained that she returned home
to meet a note by her late husband‟s friend, Usman Sabo, to meet him for a
discussion during which Usman Sabo intimated her of Ibrahim‟s infidelity and
how he rented an apartment for a girl friend where the man always enjoyed some
nice time. Eunice, later went to confirm and found out that what Usman Sabo told
her was true after seeing her late husband‟s personal belongings in the girl friend‟s
room.
Consequent, she said she called the husband on phone and told him that she
was in the house she rented for her girl friend. After this she was said to have gone
ahead to gather some of the man‟s belongings and took them outside the house
where she started setting them ablaze.
On his arrival, she said, the man queried the act and this led to exchange of
words that eventually degenerated into physical combat. It was in the process of
struggle, according to her account, that she turned around, saw a knife close by
and used it to stab the man on the chest! He later fell into a nearby ditch and gave
up the ghost before being taken to the hospital where he was confirmed dead.
On what prompted Usman a friend to late Ibrahim, to take such a decision of
showing Eunice the rented apartment. Usman said he was angered by his friend‟s
act of infidelity and over spending on other women while leaving his other wives
without proper attention.
Although late Samuel Tanko Abraham act of infidelity is condemnable, but
Eunice lacked self control! No matter the situation, you find yourself, you have to
control your emotion. You have to decide to control yourself. God‟s word says in
today‟s bible quotation (Proverb 25:28) that a person that cannot control
himself/herself is like a city without wall, this simply means it can be attacked and
be destroyed any time. It also means the enemy could easily trap and overcomes
such person. SO LET YOUR WANTS, CHOICES AND DECISION BE DRIVEN
BY WHAT YOU NEED RATHER THAN WHAT YOU WANT.
Do not allow your flesh to rule over your spirit. You have to discipline
yourself! Decide on when to say no and when to stand up, so as to escape the trap
of the devil.
                    PROPHETIC PRAYER FOR THE DAY
O Lord, help me to gain control over my body in Jesus name.

DAY 16.

SADNESS TO BUNDLE OF JOY (1)
(God’s compensation for long suffering)

Today‟s Bible Quotation: “….So the woman went her way and ate, and her face
was no longer sad” - 1st Samuel 1:18.
At 24, Mrs. Bosede Ojo was involved in an auto crash that affected her pelvis
in 1997 and was subsequently advised by doctor not to bear children till after 10
years! Eleven years later, she married and conceived. At first doctors told her that
she was with twins. Later, scan revealed three babies. However at the time of
delivery, she was delivered of quadruplet!
It has been a mixed grill of joy and sadness of Mrs. Bosede Ojo. The arrival of
her quadruplet has been since the arrival of the babies, everyone thronged her
home both to see and touch the bundles of joy from heavens.
Much as she was expected to be full of joy and gladness however, fear and
sadness have been her bane! Her grief is informed by the lack of preparedness for
more than one baby. Like every couple, Mr. and Mrs Ojo have been expecting a
child only to have four! And that has brought on them so much emotional, mental
and much her experience. Hear her: “I have experience the bitter side of life. In the
accident that claimed my leg and pelvis, over ten passengers died. Also, I married
late at the age 35. In fact, doctors have almost written me off. But see what God
has done with my life. Our major problem now is how to get money to raise the
children”!
One inquiry if she took fertility drugs to boost her pregnancy that resulted in
giving birth to the quadruplet, she said: “No, I did not use any drugs at all. What
for? I got married and conceived. In fact, we thought it was twins until a week to
my delivery when told to do scan. According to the doctor, there were three babies
and we were asked to prepare for that. When I delivered I found they were four!
That is where God supersedes the doctor, I delivered four babies three girls and
one boy to the surprise of the medical personnel. I believe it is God‟s
compensation for my long suffering and my late marriage!”
As God did for Mr. & Mrs Bosede Ojo, He can do you own! He can wipe away
your tears. THERE IS NO IMPOSSIBILITY IN GOD‟S DICTIONARY. YOU
ARE NEXT TO REJOICE!
In today‟s Bible quotation, we are told that Hannah went back and began to eat
again, and she was no longer sad. She received her request from God.
God will turn your sadness to bundle of joy, and compensate you, but you must
take refuge in the Lord, as commanded in Psalm 5:11 (NLT), which says “But let
who take refuge in you rejoice, let them sing joyful praises forever, protect them,
so all who love your name may be filled with joy”.
This month, God will surprise you with His goodness, fill your mouth with
laughter and your feet with dancing. Receive this by faith!
                    PROPHETIC PRAYER FOR THE DAY
O Lord, restore my joy fully.

DAY 17.

SADNESS TO BUNDLE OF JOY (2)
                 (God’s compensation for long suffering)

Today’s Bible Quotation: “Shout joyful praises to God, all the earth! singing
about the glory of his name! Tell the world how glorious he is” - Psalm 66:1-2.
Continuing from yesterday‟s Mrs Bosede Ojo story. When asked if she ever
dreamt of having triplets or quadruplets or if there was multiple birth tendency in
family lineage. She confirmed the history of twins in her family, but not
quadruplet. She is first to have four at a time in her family! The baby were
christened Okiki 1, Okiki 2, Okiki 3, Okiki 4 respectively. Since naming them
Okiki (famous), she had become popular! Because of babies fame, she has also
become highly sought after.
The husband, Oluwole Ojo, a public servant, said “some men run away when
their wives gives birth to triplets or quadruplets, but I will not run away from my
responsibility”.
As God did for Mr. & Mrs Oluwole Ojo, God is going to do the UNUSUAL in
your life this month. God is going to change your story, as He changed the story
of Mrs. Bosede Ojo. The Lord can do all things! He can change a destiny within
24 hours! Joseph rose from the prison to the palace within 24 hours! God will give
you a 24-hour miracle this month. Mordecai‟s story changed within 24 hours!
After Amalek‟s attack, David rose from zero to hero. He rose from nothing to
something! Jabez‟s story changed from groaning to glory, from sorrow to soaring
because, God answered his prayers! Within 24 hours! Jephthar the rejected
became Jephthar the selected. Jephthar the chased, became Jephthar the chosen by
those who laughed at him (Judges 11:1-10). God did to Mrs. Bosede Ojo, she
became famous after the birth of the quadruplets, as God did to Esther. Esther the
slave girl, became Esther the served, she became Esther the celebrated. God will
do the same for you this month!
God‟s word says, sorrow may endure till a night but joy will always come in
the morning (Psalm 30:5). This is an assurance and evidence that sorrow is not
part of life of a child of God. This is an evidence that what you are going through
now will soon result to joy. In fact, the tougher it is, the closer is it to your joy!.
In today‟s Bible quotation Psalm 66:1-2 (NLT) that we are to “shout joyful
praises to God, all the earth! Sing about the glory of his name! Tell the world how
glorious he is”. What you are going through is about to bring about a new
unfolding miracle in your life! All you need to do is to wait and don‟t complain.
                    PROPHETIC PRAYER FOR TODAY
O Lord, turn my sorrow to joy in Jesus name.

DAY 18.

TEARS OF JOY
Today’s Bible Quotation: “…If you can believe, all things are possible to him
who believes” - Mark 9:23
After two years of cross-crossing America‟s 50 states, giving campaign
speeches and swaying crowds, Barrack Obama gave his historic victory speech in
the early hours of Wednesday, November 5, 2008, at the Grant Park, Chicago,
Illinois. His acceptance speech as President elect of the United States. US met
with many a “wet eye”. As his oratory rang out in that Chicago sky, 200,000 plus
audience came to the realization of a life-long dream. Obama‟s Manta, “yes we
can!”
In that privileged audience was Jesse Jackson, foremost African – American
civil rights leader, who had himself tired to crack the glass ceiling by becoming
the first man of colour to be elected American‟s President in 1988. An emotional
Jackson could not control himself as he shed TEARS OF JOY, while watching
Obama take on the mantle of the most powerful man on earth.
In Nigeria- An earth quake of joy erupted on Tuesday 11th Nov. 2008 in Benin
city as the court of Appeal declared Action Congress (AC) candidate Adams
Oshimhole winner of the April 14, 2007 Edo State governorship election.
The courts president, Justice Umaru Abdullah, led a five-man panel to deliver a
unanimous of the lower tribunal. It dismissed all the interlocutory and substantial
appeals filed by former Governor Osershiemen Osunbor against the declaration of
Oshiomhole by the Justice Peter Umeadi - led tribunal as winner of the election.
On Thursday, 13th Nov. 2008, Adams Oshiomhole was sworn in as the
Governor of Edo State, and many the ceremony, including Oshiomhole himself
could not control themselves as they all shed TEARS OF JOY!
We need to come to the awareness of potency of the God we serve. He can DO
ALL THINGS! He created the heavens and the earth. He created the mountains
and the sea. He parted the red sea; he brought water from the rock and what else
can he not do! The mighty and unexpected thing in the lives of Barrack Obama of
United State and Oshiomhole of Nigeria are through the HAND OF GOD. And
there is nothing HE cannot do (Lk 1:37).
I am glad to let you know that he can also do mighty things in your life. If only
you can believe! Jesus said, all things are possible to him that believes.
In today Bible readings, something has proved impossible for the disciples of
Jesus. When Jesus came he accused them of their faithfulness. Your current
situation will submit. You only need to believe in God in all your undertaking.
This month God will SURPRISE you.
                    PROPHETIC PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Lord, I claim back what belongs to me with faith in the name of your Jesus

DAY 19.

“MISSED OPPORTUNITIES ARE MISSED FOR EVER”
Today’s Bible Quotation: “There they will say, „Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, is a loud
mouth, who missed his opportunity!” - Jer. 46:17 (NLT)
Nigerian coach, Felix Ibe Ukwu summed up the adventures of his team at New
Zealand 2008, when he observed after his team‟s 1-10 loss against England. “Football is
all about opportunities. Once you have the opportunity you must utilize it, and if you
don‟t you loose out”, he asserted.
The coach was no doubt referring to the fact that Nigeria created 20 shots on goal
against the Young Lionesses, who only managed two in return. Yet it was England‟s
Jessica Holbrook who scored the only goal of the game. “We can do better against Brazil
and we are going to do better”, promised commanding striker Amarachi Okonkwo.
And Nigeria did, scoring two goals against Brazil, including a deft outside of foot
effort from Okonkwo herself. Yet, it was not enough, as Brazil also scored twice, from
long range to condemn the Nigerian to elimination! And again, the Falconettes were left
running some misses early in the game. Here coach Ibe Ukwu. “We have learned one
important lesson: the missed opportunities are missed for ever, and they never come
back”.
If this group of Nigerian players can indeed add some opportunism to their game,
then they will be a formidable prospect in women‟s football in years to came. “I am very
disappointed but I can‟t blame the players because they gave all they could give” said Ibe
Ukwu after the draw with Brazil had ended their hopes. “The important thing is to know
why we lost and the way we lost, and to keep on working dutifully. We have to take
advantage of this experience and keep on training hard for the next world cups”.
In the “University of life”, you just don‟t throw away rear opportunity that comes
your way. Since opportunity comes but once!
Most opportunities will not be found where they are sought, but rather, they are
wrapped up within each of us.
Opportunity is everywhere but the trouble with most people is that they look far away
for opportunities, which are sought at hand. Hear Dunning: “Great opportunities come to
all, but many do not know they have met them”. While Baten says “weak men wait for
opportunities, strong men make them”. You are to even create your opportunity, not
waiting for it! Ephesians 5:16, says, we should “make the most of every opportunity for
doing good in these days evil while Galatians 6:10 says “Whenever we have the
opportunity, we should do good to everyone, especially to our Christian brothers and
sisters”.
Ask for the Grace of God not to miss your opportunity and the grace to identify one,
when you see one! Give us in Proverb 1:24-33.
                       PROPHETIC PRAYER FOR THE DAY
O Lord, give me the wisdom not to miss an opportunity in Jesus name.

DAY 20.

DON’T RUN FROM CHALLENGE RESIGN TO FATE (1)
Today’s Bible Quotation: “Fight the good fight of faith…” 1st Timothy 6:12
They started as schoolmates and friends. Parted briefly, then rekindled their
friendship. Today they are miles apart, financially and socially. They are Mr. Jimi Ovia
and Mr. Goddy Ehikwe. Those that have not meet Jim Ovia, one on one, most have reed
or heard about his exploits in the banking sector, where his name stands out. He presides
over one of the leading financial constitutions in Nigeria – Zenith Bank. Ovia was once a
student at Ilea Grammar School, Agbor. He was, and there he made series of friends
including Ehikwe. After secondly education, Ovia and Ehikwe relocated to Lagos and
lived close to each other at Jibowu. “While he was working at Barday‟s Bank, I was
working in MINT” Ehikwe recalled. Ehikwe continued: “our friendship became tick and
eventually we both had the opportunity to travel overseas for further studies Jim left for
the United State in March 1975, while I left for England in September of the same year”.
They eventually continue their friendship after their studies on their return to Nigeria in
the early 80s.
While Ovia started the Zenith Bank, and was doing well, life plays in explicable and
funny tricks on Ehikwe. Ovia was soaring up, in financial power and fame, while Ehikwe
was battling to pay his house rent. With his wife deserting him, two years of house rent
hanging on his neck and joblessness in his kot, Ehikwe cuts the picture of those merely
existing in Lagos.
Determine to be an employer of labour, he had thought of a small scale industry, and
end up producing industrial ice block. But the business that reportedly “pocked up” at the
outset later collapsed! With the failure of the business came crumbling all he had
laboured to build over the years.
Many people in life are yet to realize that we are here for battle. Our daily living is
battle. This is certain and true! This should not make us afraid but awake and get us ready
victory. You don‟t need to run from your challenges, just as Mr. Ehikwe should not run
from his! These challenges are there to prove your ability in God for victory. Faith is our
weapon for victory. Faith is fighting with the mysteries of God. Battles of life cannot be
fought with human wisdom but by your understanding of the mysterious weapon of God.
In today‟s Bible reading, God‟s word says we should fight the good fight of faith.
This is fighting with great power we have in God for our victory. They are the NAME OF
JESUS, the BLOOD OF JESUS and the WORD OF GOD. Know that there is no
mountain that can stand before them. Stop looking at your situation helplessly. You are
not created for failure. You are destined to win!
                       PROPHETIC PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Lord, give me understanding of the mysteries of your working power.

DAY 21.

DON’T RUN FROM CHALLENGES (2)
DON’T RESIGN TO FATE
Today’s Bible Quotation: “Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatsoever things
are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are
lovely, whatsoever things are of good report” - Phil. 4:8.
Continuing today‟s devotional from yesterday Ehikwe & Ovia story. The first thing
Ehikwe had to contend with was decision of his wife to pack out of his apartment in
Anthony village. “My wife could not bear the new reality. She decided one day to pack
everything in our apartment, saying I can no longer leave up to my responsibilities as the
head of the family. With that she moved out of my life”. Ehikwe recounted. He gave
reason for the liquidation: “My inability to purchase a generating plant, to compliment
power holding brought the whole thing to a failure. I am however hoping to get assistance
someday. Then I will not only bounce back but expand my scope by including some other
lines”.
He is to confident he would have been on a better stead if he had been able to discuss
with his old friend, Ovia. Unfortunately, he had not seen him for five years.
Has he made efforts? Yes, to no avail. In fact, he claimed to have made repeated but
unsuccessful efforts on more than 20 occasions to secure audience with the old school
mate.
Ehikwe is so prepared that even if he were to meet Ovia in a lift that lasts half a
minute, he would present his case. “I will caste him how he could assist one out of where
I am today” he said.
One is taken aback that such an old schoolmate and long standing friend could be in
Lagos, desperate to see each other without success! Even Ehikwe has no answer to the
question, and he confessed it. “I will like Ovia to come to my and” Ehikwe submitted.
Besides Ovia, Ehikwe admitted that he has other friends and schoolmates, some of
who are very comfortable and have equaled made it. He has not covered his predicament
from them, he revealed. In fact, he is banking on the hope that help could come from
some that had given him assurance. With a strong faith in what the future holds, Ehikwe
appears to have secretly vowed not to resign to fate while he sustains the hope of meeting
his friend, Ovia.
Nothing will change in the life of a man/woman until the change commences from
him. Changes from within will always give birth to outward change. In today‟s Bible
reading, we read a lesson on how to bring about our change. For his to be possible a man
needs a total renewal of his mind. This is possible by bathing in the water of the word of
God meditating (Roman 12:1, John 15:3). God‟s word can cleanse our mind if we wholly
give ourselves to it with meekness. Then limit your thinking to what we need today and
stay positive in all situations!
                       PROPHETIC PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Lord, give me a new heart that thinks in a brand new glorious way.

DAY 22.

WORLD’S SECOND SURVIVING OCTUPLETS
MIRACLE CAN BE YOURS
Today’s Bible Quotation: “Who, contrary to hope, in hope believe, so that he become the
father of many nations, according to the word spoken...” - Romans 4:18.
A United State woman gave birth to eight babies at a time, only the second in history,
OCTUPLETS have survived more than a few hours, doctors said. The mother gave birth to
six boys and 2 girls weighing between 1 pound 8 ounces and 3 pounds 4 ounces, doctors at
Kaises Permantes Bell flower medical centre said. the hospital had scheduled a caesarian
section for seven babies but doctors were surprised when an eighth came out at 10:48 am.
Doctors said the babies were born nine weeks premature but were in stable condition. Two
newborns were based on ventilators and a third needs oxygen. The doctor in charge of the
infants - Dr Mandhir Gupta said the mother is a very strong woman so she probably will be
able to handle all the eight babies.
The world‟s first live octuplets were born in March 1967 in Mexico city but all the babies
died within 14 hours, according to Encyclopedia Britanica. The united States first live
octuplets were born in Houston in December 1998. They were three months premature. Here
Dr Harold Henry, chief of maternal and foetal medicine at the hospital said “despite weeks of
preparation, we did not expect the eighth child. Ultrasound doesn‟t show you everything.”
The mother checked into the hospital in her 23rd week of pregnancy and gave birth seven
weeks later. All the eight babies will probably remain in the hospital for at least two months
and the mother should be released in a week, said Dr Karen Maples- one of the doctors in
charge.
Dr Richard Paulson, director of fertility programme at the University of Southern
California said “For people who use fertility drugs, the vast majority of births- 80% are single
babies. Among multiple births, the most common are twins.”
It‟s easier to control the number of births through in-vitro fertilization, which involves
combining egg and sperm in a lab dish and transferring the embryo into the uterus. Fertility
drugs induce or enhance ovulation and couples often opt for selective reduction, in which
women carrying multiple foetuses reduce the number of viable foetuses to two. You can see
that this is a MIRACLE BIRTH which deferred medical predictions. This type of miracle and
more can be yours but you have to have hope in the God you are serving!. Today, so many
people have come to believe that having hope is actually wrong. They think life is better
based on fate and not faith. Fate is whatever life can bring but faith ius the assurance of what
God can do. If you cannot be hopeful then you cannot wait to see the great doing of God in
your life. Are you looking for the fruit of the womb? Want to expel devourers from your
earnings? Want to return to sender armours of disgrace, losses and dishonour which is
targeted at your life? I pray you will outlast your challenges of life! When there‟s no way out
of your challenges just remain afloat. If we cannot win over our challenges, let‟s outlast
them. Whatever we are going through will eventually come to an end. In today‟s Bible
quotation (Rom. 4: 18), though Abraham had reasons to be hopeless he retained his hope in
the sure word of God. Your hope will move God to action. Even though he was old, he had
experienced several years of childlessness and his wife had passed the stage of menopause,
he knew that God‟s word was too certain.
If only you can change your mind and start to hope in God‟s promises for you against all
odds, then God‟s word will start to have its course in your life and the miracle that happened
in today‟s inspirational story will happen to you in Jesus‟ name. Romans 12: 12 says “I
rejoice and exult in hope, I‟m steadfast and patient in suffering and tribulations and constant
in prayer”. You have to constantly be on your kneels for God‟s promises to be fulfilled in
your life.
                         PROPHETIC PRAYER FOR THE DAY
O Lord, disgrace every negative medical report concerning my body or my spouse‟s
body. Lord ignite a miracle in this matter in Jesus‟ name.

DAY 23.

DON’T SUCCUMB TO THE DEVIL
Today’s Bible Quotation: “Commit thy way unto the Lord, trust also in him and he shall
bring it to pass”- Psalm 37:5 (KJV)
His real name and looks belite his trade. He is named thank God Obinna Ogu, but the
victims of his wicked and devilish engagement would, instead of thanking God for him,
in fact, curse him. He looks so innocent and harmless, but those are a facade concealing
his real self. He specialized in going about allegedly duping wealthy, innocent and
unsuspecting citizens, with the story that he had been paid to kill them. He would then
demand a ransom as the only condition to restrain him, form carrying out the assignment.
Thank God, an asthmatic patient had been moving round Lagos and other part of the
country with a fake name. Ken Jackson and is successfully threatening and duping so
many people with this story line.
Luck, however, ran out on him when he attempted to use the same trick on one Adaku
Ogbu Odenigwe. Obinnia Ogu had called her and introduced himself as Ken Jackson and
told her that an undisclosed person had paid him N4 million. to terminate her life and that
except she urgently paid N400,000 ransom into a certain account, she should consider
herself dead.
Not convinced by the suspect‟s story, Odenigwe decided to ignore his threat and
carried on with her life. But in order to ensure that she complied, the suspect was alleged
to have sourced for detailed informer turn about the victims family, after which he placed
several calls to her parents threatening to kill her. If she continued to refuse to comply
with his terms. Naturally, her parents who did not want to lose their precious daughter
began to pile pressure on Adaku Odenigwe to comply.
Thank God Obinna Ogu is not living his life in the way of the Lord. He is being
control and possessed by Devil and that was why he had to take to duping wealthy
innocent and unsuspecting citizens. Whatever your present condition, you don‟t need to
take to crime and other unholy ways. Today‟s Bible quotation says you are to commit
“your ways unto the Lord, and trust also in him and with that He will solve all your
problems and bring them to pass. (Psalm 37:5). You don‟t have to succumb yourself to
the devil. You are to trust in, rely on and have confident in Him (Psalm 31:14). There is
no situation you are facing right now that God is not aware of. But you have to trust God
at all times and pour your heart before Him and let Him be your refuge (Psalm 62:8). You
have to recognize Jesus as the Lord in your life, day in day out, and with this, you will
never struggle any moment any longer, and all your struggle will definitely come to a
close. God will touch the heart of men and women for your sake, when you have give
Jesus a proper place in your life and in your own heart. He will touch the heart of men
both home and abroad for your sake and they will have no rest until they help you and
until God remember you, nobody can remember you!
The reason why people far and near has not put your matter unto their mind is that
you did not commit your ways unto the Lord and that you have neglected the matter of
the divine favour. Matthew 6:33 says “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his
righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you”. Unfortunately most
Christians now seek the additional things God promised to add, and neglect seeking the
kingdom. As you seek the kingdom and commit your ways to the Lord. He will make
something beautiful out of your life, wash you and decorate you with divine favour in
Jesus name.
                       PROPHETIC PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Lord, create in me a new, clean heart with strong passion to please you in all that I do in
the name of Jesus.

DAY 24.

MANAGE YOUR PERSONALITY
Today’s Bible Quotation: “Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about
what happens to you” - 1st Peter 5:7
Yosola was finally going to meet the man who had been talking with her over the
phone for several weeks. She was a lady in her thirties who had don everything she felt
she needed to do to get married, but men just seemed not to be interested enough in her.
When finally Yosola and Debo met, he felt that she was being slightly pushy. She had
two statements for every statement he mad and was quite argumentative.
As the evening wore on, Debo had made up his mind that she could not be the one for
him.
Though they both were in their late thirties he did not see a dutiful wife in Yosola, but
an overtly assertive lady. His conclusion at the end of the dinner was that she was too
motherly for him which was a nice way of saying that she was too bossy. Yosola was a
nice lady but she was too opinionated. She just did not seem to know when to refrain
from talking.
Yosola was a successful lady when already had her own house. Many men avoided
her because they thought she was proud because her wealth had gone unto her head.
She just did not know how to manage her personality. What she thought was
friendliness was seen as business. What she felt was frank talk was termed unkind or
unwanted truth. If a lady is an extrovert she must learn to manage her extrovert nature
when she is just meeting people for the first time. You don‟t get a second chance of
giving a good first impression!
Most men want to marry a lady who will look up to them. No matter how advanced
the world becomes. Men still understand their role to be one of leading the home. Every
man wants respect, especially from their spouse. So, if a lady is friendly with a man who
she thinks may probably propose to her, she must make sure that she does not scare him
off by being disrespectful.
When a man notices that a lady he is not married to finds it easy to boss him around,
he starts wondering if he is doing himself a whole load of good by maiming her. And
even if he sees nothing wrong with her, his friends and relatives will tell him all the
inherent dangers in marring a woman who is too bossy!
It is normal, for Yosola to get worried, when in her thirties, she is yet to get married!
But in today‟s bible quotations, you are to give all your worries to God, for he cares
about what happens to you! He will not for sake you. But there are some role you have to
play. It may require, improving your personality. A Confucianism proverb says “Behave
towards everyone as if receiving a great guest”. Doing this, you will improve your
personality and you get what you need at the right time. You have to be affable! An
affable person is one that is not difficult to approach or talk to because of his/her pohte
and friendly being. He is down-to-earth”, as the expression goes – not aloof or beyond
the normal means of communication. An affable person meets with all people on a
common level.
After doing all these, Psalm 55:22 (NLT) says “Give your burdens to the Lord, and he
will take care of you. He will not permit you to slip and fall.
                       PROPHETIC PRAYER FOR THE DAY
O Lord, empower me to wait on you in prayers in Jesus name.

DAY 25.

DISCOVER YOUR POTENTIALS
DON’T RESIGN TO FATE
Today’s Bible Quotation: “So the flocks conceived before the rods, and the flocks
brought forth streaked, speckled and spotted” Gen. 30:39
After several years of wallowing in the wilderness in search of a best suited career,
mother luck literally smiled on Mrs. Okeke by making a return to her first love – the art
and science of biology, the human anatomy called St. Eve concepts Ltd, a weight loss
clinic that helps people to manage weight – related problems by providing them with
complete nutritional support, inform of food supplements otherwise known as
neutrizymes.
On her childhood experience which actually prepared her for her current job, she
confessed that as a child she was always excited about things that had to do with human
anatomy, which is why her best subject in the secondary school was biology, which she
did creditably well but could not pursue it as a course of study at the university.
“I don‟t have any particular training as such. But the passion has always been there. I
have always been conscious of my body weight”, she says her desire to go into weight
management and internal beauty sea was borne out of necessity.
The idea to get involved in slimming treatment arose after her trip to Singapore,
where she had gone in search of treatment herself, oftensibly to burn off excess calories
in her system.
After getting her treatment, she discovered that the supplements were certainly the
much sought after elixir of life!
However, despite the initial hiccups, she remained undaunted. “Not long after I came
back from Singapore, we got in touch with the manufacturing company but they thought
we were joking. “In fact, at a point they felt drop the phone on us because they felt we
were 419ness. Until invited them here for a seminar and we finally went to the USA to
discuss with them” she recalled.
She finally set up shop on February, 2007 and has never looked back ever since.
When God is ready to visit someone, He will begin to reveal great secret to him/her.
It could be in the dream or just making him/her to contact information or take a step as
done by Mrs. Okere. This will bring his/her translation/transformation to glory.
Just as revealed in today‟s Bible reading, when it was time for God‟s visitation to
Jacob, God began to reveal to him the secrets to his multiplication. He took the
instruction by faith and presented it before his boss. Your time of visitation has also
come. Please expect great REVELATION of God this time. God will expose you to some
information that will transform you! All you need to do is to learn to be faithful to God,
and you will see His Victory!
                       PROPHETIC PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Lord, reveal my breakthrough to me.

DAY 26.

DISCOVER YOUR POTENTIALS (2)
Today’s Bible Quotation: “A man‟s gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before
great men” - Proverbs 18:6.
On a visit to his EKO gymn & sea on Victoria Island Lagos, is enough to tell even a
first timer that Bode Ejiwumi, is much more than his good looks and debonair
background.
Going through the facility, you, will probably wonder where this fellow, whose peers
might still probably be in school, got the inspiration and energy, not only to establish the
place, but also have let up and running. As he reveals, its is something he has always
loved to do. To start with, he says his mother has always been in the fitness and spa
business.
My mother started the first spa in Nigeria, which is the Eko Hotel and suites spa,
which I then took over. So, it is a business I love by – it is an industry my mother started
– so, as a child, I have always been around. I can do it myself, I know this industry like
the back of my hand, I probably know this industry better than I know the back of my
hand”, he explains.
However, Mr. Bode Ejiwumi qualified as a lawyer and has earlier practiced in
England for some years before returning to Nigeria. Ejiwumi, believes that though he is
no longer practicing law, his degree has proved very resourceful even in the line of
business he is now into – But dumping law practice, he says, has absolutely nothing to do
with not having the verse to be in the profession. On the contrary, he says, he greatly
enjoyed his practice while it lasted”. “I felt there was something greater for me in life that
just being a lawyer. I felt there was a bigger calling for myself. Though I enjoy law, and
enjoy using it everyday”.
But considering his pedigree, don‟t people raise eye brows when they get to hear that
rather than practicing and aspiring to the bench, just like his late father, he has decided to
toe a completely different line? But for Ejiwumi, such reactions have no effect on him,
force, as he insists he is working in an industry he greatly believed in.
It is very important to discover yourself. Most people have not yet discovered the
hidden gift which God placed in them.
The bible reading for today talked about the gift in a man/woman that will make room
(prosperity) for the man/woman.
God has put in every man one thing or the other to be used to climb to the top. These
are inform of gifts, talents or call it potentials, just as Mr. Bode Ejiwumi, despite
qualifying as a lawyer, used his talent/gift to establish the Eko Gym & Spa Ltd. God‟s
word says the gift of a man will make a way for him/her (Proverb 18:16).
There is something special about you. It makes you stand out among your peers. It
draws people to you. People are astonished when you express it but it is so natural to you.
It is a simply called gift.
Everybody has not least a gift. However, not everyone is aware of it. A few people
pay attention to it. Alas, most people are indifferent about their gifts. Your gift when
developed will link you to open doors in life. You have greatness inside of you. Wake up
my dear friend! It is your twin to be celebrated.
                       PROPHETIC PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Lord, grant me grace to keep serving faithfully.

DAY 27.

IT IS A TRIAL! BE PATIENT AND YOU WILL OVERCOME (1)
Today’s Bible Quotation: “That you do no become sluggish, but imitate those who
through faith and patience inherit the promise” - Hebrews 6:9-18
Mary and Stephen got married on Dec, 1993. As a married couple, Mary and Stephen
were the cynosures of all eyes. Reason: They were regarded as the quintessential couple
,whose love for each other waxed together day by day. Naturally, for a couple who dotted
on one another, it was expected that they should have something to show for it, perhaps
the wife should become an expectant mother.
Unfortunately, this was not to be! However, after about six months of waiting for the
fruit of the womb, they became conceived and decided to see their doctor. The doctor
allayed their fear and told them that it takes about an average of one year of unprotected
regular intercourse for pregnancy to occur and they have no reason to be disturbed about
the situation at that point in time. “The situation was more tensed and we became really
worried after trying for about five years without any success”, the distraught wife added.
Close members of their family who were also worried over their plight started
introducing them to hospitals, alternative medicine practitioners and marabouts. At a
stage, some close relatives of the couple also mooted the idea of taking a second wife for
the man, with the hope that she would conceive a child, but Stephen rebuffed such
suggestion. Since he believed that “it was a trial from God an as such picking a second
wife might not necessarily result into fathering a child”. However, after a lot of pressure,
Stephen said, “I did toy with the idea at a point in time of having a second wife, but the
lady I proposed to declined, because she believed that I only wanted her because my wife
was barren, and I might abandoned her if she doesn‟t bear me children or even if she
does, as soon as my first wife started bearing children”.
In life, you have to be persistence and have patience. In God, you cannot do without
faith. That is why you cannot afford to just give up this race of life. You must win!
Sometimes, God is not moved by HOW LONG, but firm you have decided to stand to the
end!
Just as we read about Abraham in today‟s Bible reading. God‟s word refers to him as
a man who through faith and patience, inherited the promise. Though it was taking time,
but he did not allow the situation to affect his faith. He knew that is a twinkle of an eye,
God is able to fulfill His promises. He also knew God was only testing his ability to
persist (Deuteronomy 8:2,3,13). Decide to provoke God‟s hand by your persistence.
Make your conclusion based on the faithfulness of God staggered not (Roman 4:20).
Patiently wait. And your case will become a miracle! Men shall share your testimony
everywhere and everyone that hears it shall laugh with you (Genesis 21:6).
PROPHETIC PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Lord, strengthen me to keep my faith to the end.

DAY 28.

IT IS A TRIAL, BE PATIENT AND YOU WILL OVERCOME (2)
Today’s Bible Quotation: “Who, contrary to hope, in hope believed so that he became
the father of many nations, according to the word spoken” - Romans 4:18.
Continuing from yesterday devotional. Having dropped the idea of marrying a second
wife, the couple soonest their mind towards having a child. Stephen recalled his
experience this way “I am not sure l can recall all the places we went to during our
travails. For a couple to remain childless for about 13 years in our African setting, the
steps and places that they would have taken are better imagined than explained. However,
I can recall that we started from may Hospitals in 1994 and passed through LUTH,
Lagoon Hospital, Lafia Hospital Abeokuta, the National Hospital Abuja. I also consulted
urologists in London, Salway city hospital in Republic of Ireland and many others.
However after consulting with doctors in UK and Ireland, the couple decided to register
with NISA Premier Hospital in Abuja. That was the last hospital they attended before
God answered their prayers. The good things was that they never consulted native doctors
during the period of the trial!
On relocation to Abuja, someone advised them to go for the Invotro-Fertilization
(IVF) which was expected to cost them a pricely sum of N1 million. Desperate for a
child at all cost, they agreed and paid the deposit of N350,000. However, in a clear
reversal of fortune, their prayers were answered shortly after they opted for the IVF. Hear
Mary “The day I was about to start the process (IVF), the doctors observed something
and decided to conduct tests, after which he told me I am three months pregnant. I
thought he was joking. When I later discovered that its true, I did not just know how to
celebrate it”.
The couple did not disclose the information to anybody, until about six months after.
As fate would have it, Mary was later delivered of a baby boy on 30th August, 2007!
With the agony of their Mary years of childlessness etched in their memory the
couple are however grateful to God for crowing all their efforts with success!
In life, if you cannot be hopeful then you cannot wait to see the great doing of God in
your life!
In today‟s Bible reading, though Abraham had reasons to be hopeless, yet he retained
his hope in the five word of God. Your life will move God to action, just as He has did to
Mary and Stephen, after 13 years of childlessness! Even though Abraham was old, he had
experienced several years of childlessness, his wife had passed the stage of menopause,
yet he knew that God‟s word was too certain. You have to start to hope in god‟s promise
for your against all odds, then God‟s word will start to have His course in your life.
Hope brings back the joy of your life. It gives permission for the host of heaven to
start working in your life. Hope opens door for the operation of God in your life. Start to
remember what God has said concerning your current situation! Put your hope in His
word for a glorious transformation – And you‟re your testimony shall come!
PROPHETIC PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Lord, let your word bring a new light to my heart.

DAY 29.

DON’T GIVE UP – JOHN ATTA MILLS: THIRD TIME LUCKY!!
Today’s Bible Quotation: “Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only
one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize” - 1st Cor. 9:24 (NIV)
It was third time lucky for John Atta Mills as he became president of Ghana after two
failed attempts.
The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) might have been forgiven if its
faith in him had wavered after he lost twice – against president John Kufuor in 2000-
2004.
But the NDC was eventually vindicated after overwhelmingly nominating Professor
Atta Mills again, as the party flag-bearer in the presidential elections at the end of 2008.
He naminly lost the first round vote in December 2008 against the then – governing
New Patriotic Party‟s (NPP) candidate Mana Akufo – Addo, who did not pass the 50%
threshold needed for outright victory.
In the run off election later that month, Professor Atta Mills came out ahead of his
rival by a wafer – thin margin!
But in a poll dogged by cries of fool play from both sides, it took a ballot re-run in the
remote rural constituency of Tain, before the opposition candidate was finally declared
winner of the keys to Golden Jubilee House – (Ghana seat of Government).
Professor Atta Mills served as vice-president to Jerry Rawlings between 1997 and
January 2001 and had previously created a stir by saying that if elected, he would consult
with the former president.
But in 2008 he distanced himself from Mr. Rawlings, even drawing criticism from his
former boss for being too gentle with the NPP.
In contrast to the advertising bill boards of his rival NPP candidate Mr. Atta Mills
began his campaign with modest – sized signboards bearing the slogans “I believe in
Ghana”.
Ghana‟s president John Atta-Mills promised an inclusive style of government after a
tightly – fought political battle for the leadership of this West – African nation – Psalm
75:6 KJV says “for promotion cometh neither from the east, our from the west, nor from
the south” – God is taking it upon Himself to promote you, just as he has promoted
President John Atta-Mills, after third attempt! But you have to focus on to God! He is
not willing to share His glory with any man.
In today‟s bible reading, you are urged to run your race (of life) so as to win the only
prize (I Cor.. 9:24) by looking unto the right direction (God). The understanding of this
truth will set you free. It will help you focus on pleasing God. You should never be
discouraged! Whatever obstacle on your way, use that obstacles as stepping stones to
your GLORY! No one can keep you from succeeding except yourself. You have the
power and ability within you. Begin to release your faith for favour. Don‟t give up. It
does not matter what the situation looks like. Do not give up! Once God decides to smile
at you, no man can stop your promotion.
The book of remembrance will soon be opened and it will be your turn to be
celebrated!
                       PROPHETIC PRAYER FOR THE DAY
I command every blocked doors to my glorious future to be opened in Jesus name.

DAY 30.

SUCCESS IS YOURS IF DETERMINED & FOCUSED (1)
Today’s Bible Quotation: “This should be your ambition: to live a quiet life, minding
your own business and working with your hands, just as we commanded you before. As a
result, people who are not Christians will respect the way you live, and you will not need
to depend on others to meet your financial needs” - 1st Thess. 4:1&12 (NLT)
Unarguably, the dependent nature of human existence logically testifies to the fact
that nobody has ever succeeded in life without helps, and encouragements from other
people. But Chief Rasheed Abogun‟s case seems to invalidate that belief as he is
practically a self-made man who has become like the Biblical mustard seed that grew to
become a mighty tree that serves as a shelter to all manner of animals and birds.
Recounting his life story, Chief Abogun said fate initially never smiled on him. As if
he was narrating a failed dream, Chief Abogun said his parent has no financial muscle to
sponsor his secondary education – They therefore, sent him to learn a trade – plumbing to
be precise Chief Abogun recalled that he was an apprentice as a plumber for seven years
after which his parents were unable to establish him due to lack of funds. He said “After
my apprenticeship, I returned to my community. I did so because I had the conviction
that one‟s community can be the best answer to making one achieve success in life when
I returned to my community, I started farming on a small scale. I cut and sold firewood,
set traps for animals in the bush. Gradually, I gathered some money with which I started a
block molding industry. I first started with one bag of cement. That gave me the
encouragement to expand the block molding industry. Later, I went into building
contracts and sales of lands. Today, I can say I am a land merchant”.
As a little boy growing up in the rustic village of Igbo-Efon, Chief Abogun had never
allowed any obstacle to stop him from achieving a set goal or target. Having looked in
history, he decided to work hard to avoid his children experiencing a somewhere
excruciatingly outlandish experience that was his lot.
Hear him: “The reasons for my determination to succeed in life is to make sure that
my children did not experience the harrowing experience that I went through. That is why
I want them to be well educated even if it means spending my last kobo on them.
Through that, they would have freedom and be able to express themselves effectively
when confronted with issues of life”.
You should never allow any obstacle to stop you from achieving your set goal! Use
all obstacles on the way to your glory as stepping stone. Be determined be focused and
not weary, and success will be yours and always remember Napoleon Bonaparte: “The
truest wisdom is a resolute determination”. Close with Jesse Owens: “In order to make
our dreams come into reality, it takes an awful lot of determination, dedication, self
discipline, and effort”. In accordance with today‟s bible quotation, by minding your own
business, working with your hand, you will not need to depend on others to meet your
financial needs, just as it happened to Chief Abogun!
You have to be diligent! Proverb 12:24 (NLT) says “Work hard and become a leader
be lazy and become a slave”, you must set your sights on the objects of your heart‟s
desire and NEVER DEVIATE from the course which you set for attaining it.
To achieve anything worthwhile in life you must firmly resolve with a determination
that knows no defeat!

DAY 31.

SUCCESS IS YOURS IF DETERMINED & FOCUSED (2)
Today’s Bible Quotation: Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to
comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort where with we ourselves are
comforted of God” - 2nd Cor. 1:4
Continuing from yesterday‟s success story of Chief Rasheed Abogun, who fought against
a destiny that was initially unfavourable.
Chief Abogun saw his inability to understand both the deep and surface structures of the
English grammar as a challenge that must be confronted head on. So, how did he go about
solving the problem? Hear him: “I decided to get a home teacher for myself because I wanted
to be somehow well – grounded in the use of the English grammar. That added impetus to the
zeal to ensure that my children are also imbued with the zeal to be equally focused and be
well equipped for the future challenges of life. My belief is that education being power, when
they are properly educated, they will succeed in life. Some of them are in the universities in
the US and UK and I am happy that they are doing quite well.
Chief Abogun rose like the Biblical David and faced challenged of life quite early in life.
Determination and the unrepentant zeal to make life out of nothing were to make life out of
nothing were the invisible instruments of warfare he used to wage war against a destiny that
was not initially favourable! He held fact to his tenacity of purpose and never looked back
nor allowed self defeat to creep in. And now he has made it real good! His confession: “Well,
I unreservedly thank God Almighty that for more than 20 years of doing business, He has
helped me to succeed. I started a block industry with one bag of cement. The block industry
blossomed and it‟s still in operation. I then established a flourishing security outfit known as
Atiku security company Limited. Then I went into large-scale farming. In my poultry, we
produce over 500 crates of eggs a day and in six months, we produce an average of 9,000
crates of eggs.
As successful as Chief Abogun is, he is not resting on his oars. He has a projections that
in the next 15 years, “by God‟s grace, my group of companies would be quoted in the Nigeria
stock exchange. I want my business to grow into a public liability company (PLC)” he said.
It is Chief Abogun‟s belief that possession of material wealth is worthwhile only when
the individual applies it to make the society better than he met it-when the individual
positively touches the lives, hopes and aspirations of needys.
Never look back and don‟t allow present situation of things to prevent you from moving
forward. Be preserver! Roman 2:7 (NLT), says “God will give external life to those who
persists in doing what is good, seeking after the glory and honour and immortality hat God
offers”.
Hear Dr. Orison Sweit Marden: “Great men have found no royal road to their triumph. It
is always the old route, by way of industry and perseverance”, and Dr. David Oyedepo says”.
There is no free way in the pursuit of any goal. You must expect roadblocks and get ready for
challenges. If you must reach your goal, you must understand that such challenges exist and
be prepared to confront them”. You must not give into discouragement and despair! Psalm
3:3 (NLT) read “By you, o Lord, are a shield around me, my glory and the one who lifts my
head high”! God will lifts your head high, but you must be determined to keep going, no
matter what comes your way!
From today‟s bible quotation, God who comforts in all our troubles, so that we can
comfort others, as done by Chief Abogun. When others are troubled, we will be able to give
them the same comfort God has given us.
                          PROPHETIC PRAYER FOR THE DAY
O, Lord help me to fulfill all that is required of me to, attain success, so that my life will not
be a waste, in Jesus name Amen.

                        Knowing GOD that transformed
“Son, come here, please,” Mom called from Pete‟s room.
“What is it, Mom?” Pete asked as he skidded to a halt in front of her. “This.” Mom was
holding Pete‟s Bible. “It‟s all covered with dust.” “Sorry, Mom,” said Pete. “I keep
forgetting to dust that shelf by the bed.”
“That‟s not what I meant,” explained Mom. “Pete, how long has it been since you‟ve read
your Bible?”
Pete shrugged carelessly. “I need a Bible or Sunday school, but then I use the one from
the den downstairs. Anyhow, since we go to church on Sundays twice - I hear enough
about God then to last me through the week.”
Mom followed Pete to his room at bedtime, switched on the light, and then shut it right
back off. “Mom!” exclaimed Pete as the room once again became dark. “I can‟t see!”
“But the light was on for a minute,” said Mom, “And I‟m sure you can remember where
things are. Can‟t you just make do with the light you got then?”
“Mom…” grumbled Pete as he reached for the switch and turned the light back on. “Once
it‟s off, it doesn‟t do anything for me.
“But, Pete,” said Mom softly, “isn‟t at what you‟ve been trying to do with God? You told
me that by going to church twice on Sundays, you learn enough about God to remember
all week. But it doesn‟t work that way. Just like you need to leave the light on to see in
your room, you need to make constant use of God‟s Word in order to grow as a
Christian.”
“By not reading my Bible, I turn off the light on myself, Huh?” asked Pete. “Well, can I
leave my light on extra long tonight? I guess I need to turn on my other light, too.”
How about you? Do you think that if you go to church you can get through the rest of the
week without bothering with daily devotions? That isn’t true. Everyday you need to turn
on the light of God’s Word for spiritual direction. This daily devotional will assist you.

Titbits for how your life can be transformed life.
 Making plans for your future success is a valuable exercise. If you fail to plan,
   you plan to fail
 Stick to your dreams. Do everything you can to realize them.
 Accept the prospect of change. Don’t dwell on what you could have done
   differently.
 Take time out to think. Be focused. Look for ways to harness your talents.
Believe in your abilities and be optimistic.
 Work, work, work: but always with a winning attitude. Keep moving. Doing
   nothing gets you nowhere.
 Don’t give up. Don’t let defeat flatten you. Where there’s a will, there’s a way.
Persistence pays off. Don’t let the fear of failure turn you back or make you wait
too long to make a move. In hopeless situations, hope exists if we choose to find
   it.
 Polish your image. Make relationships stronger. Don’t be ashamed to say “I’m
sorry. It was my fault”. Ask for help. Don’t let ego stand in your way.
 It is better to trust in God than to put confidence in man (Psalm 118:8).
