The Kingdom, What Prophets and Kings
Desired to See
By, Apostle John Eckhardt, www.impactnetwork.net
Speaking the VOICE of the LORD, to order visit:
And he turned him unto his disciples, and said privately, blessed are the eyes which see the
things that ye SEE:
For I tell you, that many PROPHETS and KINGS have desired to SEE those things which ye see,
and have not seen them; and to HEAR those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.
The Old Covenant saints were looking to the day of the arrival of the KINGDOM. Jesus tells his
disciples how blessed they were in seeing the arrival of the KINGDOM. They were hearing the
Word of the KINGDOM and seeing the demonstration of the KINGDOM. The kingdom was in
their midst, and they were seeing what the prophets had declared over centuries.
1 Peter 1:10-12
Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the
grace that should come unto you:
Searching what or what MANNER OF TIME the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify,
when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.
Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things,
which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy
Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.
The prophets ministered to the New Covenant saints concerning the arrival of the KINGDOM
and not themselves. We now experience and enjoy what the prophets declared. We are blessed to
hear the GOSPEL and see the demonstration of the KINGDOM.
And in that same hour he cured many of their infirmities and plagues, and of evil spirits; and
unto many that were blind he gave sight.
Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have SEEN and
HEARD; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead
are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached.
And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.
When John enquired whether Jesus was the one promised, he responded by saying, "Go your
way, and tell the John what things ye have SEEN and HEARD." In other words they were
hearing and seeing the KINGDOM promised by the prophets.
