In a previous "Editors Note" on this subject matter we pointed out that
society is not zeroing in on the essential foundations of education, but rather
skirting around the issues. We live in a society that wants to make themselves
feel good, by blaming everyone and anyone for all of the world's wrongdoings.
We blame our parents, (as did Hillary Clinton for the then President's
inappropriate conduct,) our educators, our community leaders, society at large,
and anything and everything that coexists in the world, but not ourselves. It is
high time to take responsibility for our own actions rather than throwing blame
on someone else.
This can only be achieved if we begin the educational rearing process of Wishes everybody
our offspring from birth, and even before, from conception. Unfortunately,
today's society has an attitude not to force anything down the throats of our (including the bridge players!)
children. They want to be their children's friends rather than parents. As
such, they feel that when the child will mature they will have the opportunity to
choose for themselves right from wrong, and good from evil.
History, however, proves this theory wrong. If we do not begin investing
in our child's upbringing at least from the moment of birth, we can bank on a
warped handicapped character that may eventually culminate in tragic uncivi-
lized conduct. "Man is like the tree in the field,‰ the Torah points out. Our
Sages stress that the Torah uses the "tree" as an example, rather than any
other worldly object, because man's characteristics are extremely similar to that
of the tree.

may come a time when his rational can dictate an amendment to this prohibi-

the most advanced educated and sophisticated country that produced poets,
writers, physicians, scientists, moralists and ethicists, went awry. Germany,
who produced the "Cream de la cream" of society, turned bestially animalistic
overnight. The same we just saw in Kosovo.
The reason for all this results only from the fact that man lays their deci-
sion making process in their own hands, which can change with time and
place, rather than in the hands of G-d, the supreme infinite creator, where
change never occurs.
As such, we must plant this notion of a supreme infinite being, namely
G-d, into our offspring from the moment of birth, if not yet from conception.
This manifests itself through parents who "practice what they preach," rather
than live by the principle of "do as I say rather than I do." When children see
