The California Comprehensive Center in collaboration with the California Department of Education (CDE) is hosting an online focus group open to all Supplemental Educational Services (SES) providers in California in order to discuss the development of criteria for the assessments SES providers use with students and then submit to CDE in the annual Accountability Report. The goal of establishing more rigorous criteria for the student assessments used by SES providers is to uniformly ensure high quality pre- and post-test data submissions to the state for evaluation purposes required by federal law. CDE will take under consideration the input and feedback provided during this Webinar as they work to improve both the evaluation and implementation of SES across the state. HOW THE WEBINAR WORKS The Webinar is a combined slideshow and audio presentation, which requires that you have access to an Internet connection, computer with soundcard and speakers or headphones, and a Web browser. During the Wimba Classroom session, you will see slides displayed and hear the presenters through your computer. SES providers will enter questions during the Webinar on the “chat line” and provide feedback via online polls.
