4. Objectives of the Program
     To train specialists in Endodontics who will be:

       4.1. competent with a deep knowledge and clinical experience in Endodontics.

       4.2. able to treat complicated endodontic cases.

       4.3. able to cooperate with other specialists.

       4.4. self-motivated to learn and think critically as well as analytically and be able
       to contribute the knowledge to our society.

       4.5 specialists with high moral sense and social competence.

5. Program Start: Academic year 2005

6. Training :

6.1. The training system is according to the Thai Dental Council’s regulation of the Board
of Dental Profession on Certificate of Expert in different disciplines in dentistry 1996
number 43 as organized for different systems.

6.2. Duration of training: According to the regulation of the Board of Dental Profession
number 44, the minimum is 3 years and maximum is 5 years at Mahidol University or a
minimum of 2 years at Mahidol university and other affiliated institute 1 year.

  Evaluation and Graduation Requirements
         1. Student Evaluation: At least grade B for both theory and practice part, except
  for elective courses.

         2. Graduation Requirements:
         2.1. Students must have at least one publication or the manuscript has been
  accepted for publication in standard journal or a conference’s proceedings.
         2.2. Minimum requirements for dental treatments within 3 years = 200 teeth

 Library
        There are about 6,000 textbooks in dentistry and related disciplines and 125 Thai
 and English dental journals available in the Rajvithi Campus library. Also, there are other
 libraries directed by Mahidol University at Salaya Campus that are available for students.
 Moreover, textbooks and journals can be borrowed from other libraries in Thailand and
 abroad. Besides, the students can get access to Medline, full-text journals, internet and e-
 mail services.
