Technical Program Manager Position
Responsible for the cost, schedule and performance of programs or subsystems of major programs.
Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion.
Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Coordinates the preparation of proposals,
business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of
Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss
cost, schedule, and performance.
Develops new business or expands the product line with the customer.
Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and
obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications.
Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.
Typically has an advanced technical degree and through a continuity of experience can provide technical expertise,
practical engineering/scientific judgment and business acumen to the technical management of a complex
program, and/or supervise technical aspects of a program.
* Experience Requirements:
8+ Years of technical program related experience, preferably with government contracting experience. Experience
participating in a complex sales process a plus.
BS Degree in engineering, science or related field with significant specialized experience in the management of
technical personnel and programs, M. S. preferred. Must be fluent in the application of Model‐Based controls
Excellent communication skills required, both verbal and written.
Comfortable working in an organic, start up environment. Flexibility is key to success.
Because of the customer interface, excellent presentation skills are a must.
High degree of personal and professional integrity. Technical skills are nothing without character. Interview and
references will focus on character and proven ability to work in a fast paced, organic environment.
