THIS DOCUMENT IS A STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE TO USING THE AC ONLINE ENTRY SYSTEM
FOR THE 2008 VICTORIAN SLALOM CHAMPIONSHIPS.
Hopefully new users will benefit from the document and I would appreciate any feedback
you might have on where improvements can be made to assist clarity.
1. Go to the Calendar link on the Victorian Canoe site:
2. Ensure the month displayed is November
3. The Victorian Slalom Championships are held on the 29th and 30th, November.
Select Vic Slalom Champs link on either of those days – it doesn’t matter which
one. This will display the following introductory screen.

There is then a small text section explaining the costing model for events.
Basically paddlers will pay $15 for their first event and $10 for each
subsequent event. There is also a $5 competition levy which is a one-off
payment that is applied to all events at the Goulburn Site to assist with site
maintenance and improvements. All funds collected as part of this levy will be
reserved for only that task.
Paddlers should note that they are asked to also indicate if they plan to enter
one of the Teams Events that will be held at the Championships. You do not
need to nominate with whom you will be paddling but we do need your entry
now in order to manage the development of the event program. You will be
required to pay $10 for this event at this time, also, however if you are unable
to put together a team on the day this will be refunded.

he paddler can now select the event(s) they wish to enter on the Saturday of
the carnival. Nominating for an event can be done by clicking on the check
box – to ‘remove’ entries simply click again on the checkbox. For C2 events,
please nominate your partner.
A similar process exists for day two of the event.

Having nominated for all individual or C2 events, paddlers planning to enter a
team event should check the appropriate box accordingly.
The next step will confirm the cost of your entry. Check the $15 fee for your
first event, enter the number of additional events you are entering including
the nomination to compete in a Teams event on the day and then tick the $5
levy. Please note: a first event entry and the $5 Levy are both mandatory items

It is important that any paddler that will be under 18 years of age as at the first
day of the competition will need parental consent to the entry. Please ensure a
parent reads and approves the Terms and Conditions for entry by selecting the
check box and entering their full name in the box shown. Unfortunately the
Terms & Conditions do not display until the next screen you may need to
move to the next screen and then come back using the back button to confirm
The final step on this screen is to select the preferred method of payment –
either a cheque posted to the nominated address or direct BSB transfer

This provides a summary invoice for the event. Please ignore the PayPal
checkout comment – this is a bug in the AC software and should not be
displayed as PayPal / Credit Card is not offered for the Victorian Slalom
IF YOU ARE PAYING BY CHEQUE, please print a copy of the invoice
using the Print Invoice function and enclose this together with your cheque
and send them to the following address:
Treasurer – Victorian Slalom Technical Committee

IF YOU ARE PAYING BY BSB Transfer, please transfer the funds to the
Commonwealth Bank BSB 063142
Victorian Slalom Account
Please ensure you include on the notes accompanying the

To confirm your entry, please select the View Entries button on the initial Calendar
This will display a list of all current entries received through the AC online system at
Please ignore the club shown – this again is a bug in the software from AC in that it
displays the historical first club to which you belonged and not the current club. This
is only an issue for this View Entries display – the entry data used by the compiling
system uses your correct club.
