JOB PURPOSE AND REPORTING STRUCTURE: Under the general direction of the
Manager of Business Systems, the Systems Analyst oversees all hardware and software
related to maintaining the ERP system; supports and maintains the ERP system through
refinement of business processes, data analysis and daily support of end users; analyses
requirements, develops systems and assists with daily support of end users for internally
developed applications and websites; in accordance with company policies and
procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may
be assigned.

Support ERP system and internally developed applications by providing first line of support
for end users. Coordinate resolution of issues and upgrades with external consultants.
Perform technical trouble shooting to isolate and diagnose system problems.

Research and recommend ERP system enhancements and other business technology
systems for suitability of improving the organization’s productivity, quality, and
performance.

Manage ERP related projects with cross-functional teams. Participate on cross-functional
teams to ensure the continuous, on-going improvement of processes, methods,
productivity and quality, while reducing costs.

Monitor the ERP system and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper performance.

Manage the implementation of new Business Technology applications for integration into
the existing ERP system and internally developed applications.

In conjunction with network technical staff, administer and maintain various SQL and
Access databases.

Provide administrative support and training for other third party applications such as
document management, labeling, quality, or Help Desk systems.

Analyses, defines, and documents requirements for data, workflow, logical processes,
hardware and operating system environment, interfaces with other systems, internal and
external checks and control, and outputs.

Writes and maintains technical specifications.

Develops and maintain plans outlining steps and timetable for developing programs.

Researches and evaluates software and hardware to assist in programming or use in
programming platforms.

Designs and codes screen layouts, graphical user interfaces, printed outputs, and
interfaces with other systems.

Compiles code into programs and corrects errors detected in compile process.

Creates test transactions and runs tests to find errors and confirm programs meet
specifications.

Writes and maintains documentation to describe program development, logic, coding,
testing, changes, and corrections.

Writes documentation or reviews documentation written by others that describes
installation and operating procedures.

Complete special projects as assigned, including ERP system enhancements and
implementation at other Magnetek locations.

Maintain technical competency and remain current in technology and changes in the
industry.

Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.

Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations. Maintain departmental
housekeeping standards.


MARGINAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Specify and generate custom reports as needed for
business trends and analysis.

Perform ongoing analysis of sales, material costs, and labor expenses to improve
profitability of the organization.

Provide training to end users and technical staff on system navigation, usage and report
generation for ERP systems and internally developed applications.

Support specific MRP requirements by business unit. Assist in providing planning
parameters and management of inventory levels.

Provide backup support to other systems or business analysts as required.

Assist with development of IT policies and procedures.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Requires a bachelor's degree in a job related major
and five to seven years of related experience; or an associate degree or two years of
college with job related coursework and eight to ten years of progressively responsible
related experience; or a combination of education and experience. Preferred experience
includes Visual Basic, SQL, Manage 2000 or Unidata, Java, MS SharePoint, Crystal
Reports, OnBase, and DeliveryWare.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules,
operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to prepare
operational directions and manual and business correspondence. Ability to effectively
communicate with customers, vendors and other employees of the organization. Possess
strong oral and written communication skills as well as proven presentation skills.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of
measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate,
ratio, and percent.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out
instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems
involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Requires the ability to operate a variety of standard
business machines, such as a computer and the job related software, a keyboard,
calculator, telephone, FAX, photocopier, etc.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those
