Only two things can get Norma Holland out of bed
at 2:30 each morning: fresh brewed coffee and the
latest news. Norma has co-anchored NewsSource 13 This Morning with Doug
Emblidge since January 2002. However, Norma has been with NewsSource 13
since 1996 when she was a junior in college. She graduated from the State
University of New York at Geneseo in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism.

Norma has held a number of positions at the station including reporter,
assignment editor, and weekend anchor. “It’s truly an honor to work here. I
grew up watching this channel with my parents,” Norma says.

An Irondequoit native, Norma enjoys working in her hometown surrounded by
her family. When she’s not working or spending time with her husband,
Matthew, Norma can be found at her parent’s home in Irondequoit, “asking Mom
to make me some Puerto Rican rice and beans,” she says.

Norma now lives in the city and relishes her role as wife to Matthew and mother
of Pancho, a chihuahua she and Matt adopted. Norma is a member of Latinas
Unidas, a networking group of Latina women from Rochester. She also
volunteers her time with Families and Friends of Murdered Children, a local
support group for people whose loved ones have been victims of violence.
