        May 27th, 2010

        Dear Fairy Tales Film Festival guests, patrons, and sponsors;

        It is with great pleasure that I extend my congratulations to the ongoing success of the Fairy Tales
        International Queer Diversity Film Festival, which is now in its 12th consecutive year! From May 27th to
        June 3rd, 2010, Albertans will have the opportunity to take in one of Calgary’s foremost film festivals at
        the Plaza Theatre. As the MLA for Calgary- Mountain View, it is my honour to represent such a vibrant
        and dynamic constituency.

        The films featured in this year’s Fairy Tales are as rich and varied as ever, and I am highly encouraged by
        the scope and educational value of the films being shown. In addition to their well-deserved
        entertainment value, these inspiring and thought-provoking films help foster a more inclusive, open-
        minded community that celebrates in its diversity.

        I would like to take this opportunity to welcome all participants of the 12th Annual Fairy Tales Film
        Festival. The hard work and commitment shown by the organizers have certainly paid off, and the
        support offered by both guests and sponsors is indispensible to the Festival’s continued success. With
        over forty short films, documentaries, and features, this year’s Festival is sure to entertain!

        And so, without further ado, sit back and enjoy the films!

     Did you know that the Festival & Programming Director’s favourite hairdresser is across the street at SwizzleSticks SalonSpa? If you bought a membership at last year’s festival – it’s expired! Spend $10, support an organization you care about and gain access to our queer library.
                                                                                                Go say hi to Emma, Tim and Ross! It’s the reel-deal…. Ask a volunteer about how because memberships are on sale in the lobby.
