Preface

This guideline describes the structure, the style guides and the integrated
functionalities of the DENTSPLY Friadent PowerPoint-Template.

                                                               Section dividers are used to structure long

                                                               which relate to brands. The design corresponds to the
                                                               title-pages with brand related presentations.

                                                               The only font that is to be used is Arial. Accentuations

                                                               marked. Headlines should be short and concise. Short

Color palette
Overview
Main colors         Variable colors                       For each product brand there are particular variable colors
Text and background Shades for charts                     available to design diagrams and charts. So, for instance,
                                                          XiVE®-tables are colored red and ANKYLOS®-tables blue
                                                          (cf. page 11). For corporate presentations particular colors
                                                          are made available (shades of the champagne color).

                                                          The variable colors can be replaced through changing the
Fixed colors
                                                          palette (cf. page 12). If you color a figure with the variable
                                                          colors and change the color palette subsequently, then the
                                                          color of the figure will be automatically changed.

                                                          For the decorations and accentuations all colors that are
                                                          specified in the color palette can be used.

Functions
Property block
                                                               Before beginning with the creation of presentations,
                                                               please enter document-specific information into the
                                                               property block: You will find the entry Properties by
                                                               selecting the menu item File.

                                                               Please insert here the title, the topic as well as the
                                                               author of the presentation in order to facilitate the
                                                               search for the files at a later point in time (this
                                                               information can be shown in Windows File-
                                                               Explorer).

                                                               The margin down on the left is the area where the
                                                               title, the place and the date are shown.

                                                               This information is edited by selecting View –
                                                               Header and Footer. Enter the desired texts and
                                                               click subsequently on Apply to all.

Slide layouts
                                                               In order to assign to a yet existing page a new slide
                                                               layout, select the desired format under Format –
                                                               Slide Layout.

                                                               As a rule, the following layouts are used:

                                                                  Title slide
                                                                  Title only
                                                                  Title and text
                                                                  Title and text with two columns

Creating and formatting text slides
In order to format text slides quickly and in a uniform way,             Create with Insert –
the template will make available two levels of classification.           New Slide a text slide.
These help to structure body texts.
Level 1: Format for body texts
 Level 2: Format for enumerations
                                                                         Enter the text.
The levels of classification will be assigned by selecting the
instruction Increase/Decrease Indent: Mark the desired texts
and select the icon in the toolbar.                                      Select the paragraphs

If the arrow symbols shown cannot be found in the menu bar, please use   Increase Indent.

Cells
 Cells can be colored at your discretion.
 Important texts are either bold or colored.

Lines
 Line weight: 0.75 – 2.5 pt
 Lines are colored the same as the
  background's color.

Further advice
 It is advisable to use only one font size
  within a table.

 All charts are to be clearly arranged: The use
   of 3D-effects and transparencies is not included.           Further advice
 Cliparts are not allowed to be used.                          Use only one font size within a diagram.

Lines                                                            clearly; check, for example, whether non-
 Line weight: 0.75 – 2.5 pt                                     relevant information can be summarized.
                                                                Check if your statement can be accentuated
                                                                 in a better way by changing the diagram type.

 Recommended types of animation: Fade Smoothly, Uncover or No Transition.

Element animation
 The content is to the fore and not the animations.
 Animations should be used as little as possible.
 Recommended types of animation: Fade, Wipe and Appear

Word-wraps, text length and basic settings
Word-wraps                                                     Basic settings
In enumerations a new line is created within the               Select Tools – AutoCorrect Options and deactivate
enumeration by using soft breaks entering the                  the lower four options:

Tips
Placing full-page photos
                                                               The rounded corners of the background characterize
                                                               the template. If photos are inserted as full-page
                                                               pictures, a white covering is used so that the picture‘s
                                                               corner above on the right is also rounded.
                                                               To insert full-page photos, please proceed as follows:
                                                                Copy the page taken as example, out of the
                                                                 template to the desired place in your presentation
                                                                 (cf. page 11 in the PowerPoint-Template).
                                                                Delete the photo taken as example
                                                                Place the new photo on the slide and take it to the
                                                                 background, so that the white covering can round
                                                                 its corners (right click on the picture > Order >
                                                                 Bring to Front).
