GHANA: Inflation Now 18.3% GLOBAL COMMODITIES/METAL MARKET

Indicators Level Change (%) YTD (%) As trading activity picked up on the GSE this week, the number
DSI (GH ¢) 12,229.52 1.71% 44.50% of share price changes slowed down; from eight last week to six
DSI ($) 1.14 1.26% 28.77% at the end of this week. The Databank Stock Index however
GSE (GH ¢) 10,626.29 1.05% 61.01% moved up significantly from last week’s levels by 1.71% to
Mkt Cap (GH¢’bn) 17.10 0.41% 29.95% 12,229.52 points.

Volumes traded also shot up by 964% with the rise in turnover
Dividend Yield (%) 1.32 -0.01 − going above 3,700%. This sharp rise was aided by block trades
Earnings Yield (%) 5.52 -0.04 − in Ecobank Ghana on Thursday and Friday. This resulted in the
banking stock accounting for 66% of aggregate shares traded
and 96% of market value. A total of nearly 3.6 million shares
valued at GH¢11.43 million were traded on the floor of the
SHARE PRICE MOVEMENT GSE.
