Dear Dranesville parents, students, staff, and friends:

We welcome you to Dranesville Elementary’s 2011 silent
auction sponsored by the PTA!

Dranesville is a vibrant learning community made up of
over 650 students from diverse backgrounds in grades
prekindergarten through 6th grade. At Dranesville, we
educate our students to be excellent thinkers and lifelong
learners while instilling in our students the importance of
empathy and service to the community at large. As an
educational community, we embrace collaborative project
based learning and individual student mastery which are
hallmarks of 21st Century learning.

The Dranesville community and the PTA are a wonderful
support for our special school. The PTA gives additional
material and opportunities to teachers and students while
volunteers work on a daily basis to enhance the school’s
mission. Tonight’s silent auction event is another example
of the PTA building community while supporting the
school’s needs. As you enjoy the company of friends and
neighbors, I know that you will be intrigued by the variety
and creativity of the auction items. We thank you in
advance for your continued support of our PTA and
Dranesville Elementary.

Welcome to Dranesville Elementary PTA Silent Auction 2011

The Dranesville PTA Auction Committee and DES Staff have
worked tirelessly to bring you this event today. We hope you will
enjoy yourself.

As you know, without the support of the PTA, our children would
not experience the cultural arts programs that enrich their
educational experiences, would have less opportunity for
expanding their knowledge outside of the classroom with field
trips, and would use outdated equipment in order to explore
technology in this growing and changing world. Thank you for
supporting the PTA, the school, the teachers and staff, and the
children with your attendance here today.

We have some fantastic items up for bid!

Outings with teachers, class projects made by the students,
themed gift baskets, gift certificates and gift cards, tickets to
special events and concert tickets are just a few of the incredible
items we are able to bring you!

We would like to thank our volunteers for their efforts, their time,
their support and their passion for bringing this special event to
DES.

Enjoy yourself and Happy Bidding!
