Read the following passage, then answer the questions below :
Once , a king decided to give a big present to the one who had served his
country most . A lot of people went to the king’s palace to watch that . A very rich man
gave the king a gold gun . Another man gave him a box full of jewels . A third man
brought him a beautiful Arabian horse . The king didn’t like those people because they
didn’t serve their country at all . They wanted to serve the king only . He thanked them ,
but he didn’t give them anything .
After thinking and searching for a long time , the king found three good men .
They served their country for a long time . The first man was a doctor who helped many
sick people in the country . The second one was a good teacher who taught a very big
number of pupils . The third one was a great scientist who had many useful discoveries
.The king decided to give the present to one of them .
While the king was thinking which one of the three men would get the present , an
old woman came near him . She told the king that the doctor , the teacher and the
scientist were her sons and that she came to see which one would take the present .
The king was very surprised . He thought and thought and finally he discovered that the
old lady was the one who deserved the big present .
