                            T        by Harbour Royale Development Limited to
                                     design a new infill office building for TD
                            Canada Trust, in the heart of downtown Sydney. The
Url: www.trifos.com         proposed site was situated between two, older,
                            existing buildings of varying age and construction
                            integrity. The design solution was to insert a cast-in-
                            place concrete frame into the site, with the requisite
                            underpinning for the adjacent structures.           The
                            building, featuring a modest contemporary vernacular,
                            was recessed on the streetfront, so as to create a
                            portico plaza. An elliptical oculus in the roof canopy
                            draws daylight down, into the columned plaza. A soft
                            rose colour was selected for the stucco finish, and was
                            complemented with the trademark, TD green colour
                            for the fenestration and doors.
