CCS Scheduler
With the CCS Scheduler, you can reliably schedule functions in the intercom
system and pre-programme processes. For example, the scheduler can
organize COMWIN data or initiate any processes required. Whether for the
automatic forwarding of calls during the night shift, time-sensitive test calls,
control functions and announcements, any number of solutions are
possible. A timer function also allows the automatic initiation of processes,
e.g. in case of open doors.
Appointments and appointment series can be simply administered from
windows and screens that are similar to those used in popular scheduling
          tools, such as MS Outlook®.

System Overview

          Figure 1: System Overview

          ■ CCS Scheduler runtime engine runs on CCS
          ■ CCS Scheduler clients can be incorporated into CCS COMWIN, CCS
TextLink, and SDK-Applications (into CCS Reporter it is not possible at the
               moment)
          ■ Control of intercom system via COMWIN commands

Attention: To be able to configure the CCS Scheduler settings
„serveradmin“- permissions are needed (see user manual „CCS
          COMWIN“).

Limitations
          Attention:
          ■ The backup server function is not available for CCS Scheduler.
          ■ Concurrent editing of appointments and appointment series at multiple
            clients is not recommended.
          ■ Maximum number of appointment series: 1000

Installation of CCS Scheduler
The installation of following components is required:
          1. Microsoft® Message Queuing ”MSMQ” (at the PC where the CCS is
             running)
The required file ”Start_Add-Remove.bat” is provided with the Setup-CD
             in directory ”\Tools\MSMQ” (see below).
          2. Microsoft® Data Access Components ”MDAC” (at the PC where the CCS
             and CCS Reporter is running)
The required file ”mdac_typ.exe” is provided with the Setup-CD in
             directory ”\Tools\MDAC”.
          3. .NET Framework Version 3.5
The required file “dotnetfx35_SP1.exe” is provided with the Setup-CD in
             directory ”\Tools\.NET Framework”.
          4. CCS (COMWIN + Applications)
The CCS Scheduler is part of CCS and therefore it is part of this
installation package. The required file “CCS Setup v5.1 (Build ****).msi”
is provided with the Setup-CD (see below).

          Microsoft® Message Queuing ”MSMQ”
          ■ Double click on the icon “Start_Add-Remove.bat”.
          ■ The ”Windows® Component Wizard” is opened.
          ■ Activate the component ”Message Queuing”.
          ■ Click on the button ”Details” and deactivate the check-box ”Integration of
              Active Directory”.

          CCS (COMWIN + Applications)
          ■ Select the installation type ”Custom”.
          ■ It is recommended not to change the installation directory.
          ■ CCS and CCS RS-Adapter must be installed on the CCS PC (the services
              are created and started automatically).

Demo Mode
The CCS Scheduler operates in demo mode in case of no dongle or a dongle
without CCS Scheduler license is connected to the CCS PC.
In demo mode all functions of the CCS Scheduler are available limited to
one hour (remaining time is displayed in the status bar).
          After expiration of demo time:
          ■ actions and appointments are not executed anymore.
          ■ the CCS service must be restarted to operate the CCS Scheduler again in
              demo mode.

Actions
To create and define actions (COMWIN messages and commands), select
”Tools” - ”Scheduler” - ”Actions” in the COMWIN menu bar. The following
          window appears:

          Event vs. Action
For an event only start messages can be defined. Start- and stop messages
are COMWIN commands which are send at the beginning resp. at the end of
          an appointment.

            Configuration example - Appointment Wizard
Loudspeaker-/ microphone surveillance of lift intercom stations
For safety reasons the functionality of all lift intercom stations in an
application must be tested every third day. Therefore the COMWIN
command “Loudspeaker-/ microphone surveillance” is sent to the intercom
            server for all stations.
The necessary appointment series can be generated with the appointment
wizard and the option “V-24 Control via Icon Template”.

Create appointment series “Activate l.-/m. surveillance”
Open the appointment wizard and configure it e.g. in the following way:
