Parking Rules and Regulations
The requirements for eligibility are as follows: a senior must have a valid driver’s license, an automobile, no
outstanding school obligations, and be in good academic standing. Learner’s permits and limited junior licenses
cannot be accepted. The enclosed application must be completed by you and your parent/guardian and returned
to the Attendance Office (B104) along with the following: (a) a copy of your driver’s license, (b) a copy of
your current vehicle’s registration, and (c) a copy of your current automobile insurance card for that vehicle
for our files by August 15th. Parking will be assigned subsequent to receipt of all documentation and proof of
attendance at the mandatory senior meeting which is being held on the first day of school, Tuesday, September
6th at 2:40 p.m. in the HPAC (Harrison Performing Arts Center).
Only seniors with a valid parking permit will be allowed to park on campus. Please note that seniors may
park on campus on Tuesday, September 6th and Wednesday, September 7th without displaying a parking pass;
however, on those days students are not permitted to drive off campus at any time during school hours (between
7:45 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.). Starting on Thursday, September 8th, students must display a parking pass to park
PLEASE NOTE: Any violation of school regulations such as cutting classes, unverified absences, excessive
tardiness, improper dress, or any disciplinary infraction (carefully read your Student Handbook), will result in
the following actions:
1. Student conference with the Assistant Principal. A letter will be mailed home stating the infraction
2. The student’s parking permit will be suspended for a minimum of 10 days;
3. Additional infractions will result in a student conference with the Assistant Principal. The student’s
parking permit will be REVOKED for the REMAINDER OF THE SCHOOL YEAR. A letter will be
mailed home stating the infraction and the permanent revocation of the student’s parking permit.
The administration reserves the right to deny, grant, or withdraw off-campus leave privileges and/or
driving and parking privileges to any senior at any time during the school year.

CAMPUS POLICY: A permanent license is required to obtain a parking permit. Parking permits will not be granted if a
student has an obligation (books, uniforms, calculators, etc.). Seniors who are granted a parking permit are eligible to drive
off campus during lunch & unassigned time. Permission to park on the BOCES’ campus does not automatically entitle
students to park on the HHS campus. The administration reserves the right to deny, grant, or withdraw off-
campus leave privileges and/or driving and parking to any senior at any time during the school year.

I agree to abide by the Harrison High School Code of Conduct (see Student Handbook online at the HHS
website at http://www.harrisoncsd.org/hhs under “Student Portal”) to maintain my parking permit and leave
privileges. I understand that if I violate any of the school regulations (see enclosed letter), my permit and leave
privileges will be suspended for a minimum of 10 days. Additional infractions will result in my parking permit
and leave privileges being revoked for the remainder of the school year.
