Dear World Tang Soo Do members and families:
We are proud to be your host for this years European Championships.
But there will be more events besides the European Championships,
such as Ki Gong Clinic, European Master Clinic and our very first
Region 11 European Black Belt Clinic (also open for Cho Dan Bo).
The aim of the organising committee is to organise affordable events
and accomodations without losing our Dutch hospitality for our
guests. Therefore, we set up special packages for black belts and
cho dan bo’s and for our other guest we have selected 4 hotels to stay
in. The special packages requires a minimum of peoples. Accordingly,
we need your cooperation to act as fast as possible so we can confirm
the package deal for your own benefit.
This year is also the 25th anniversary of the Dutch Tang Soo Do
Association. We hope to see you all to celebrate this memorable
happening with us. We wish you all the best and we’re looking forward
to see you in October!

We start our 2011 events in the Netherlands with a special Ki Gong Clinic. Not only Grandmaster Shin is teaching, also Master
Sandy Lipstein a blue shirt Ki Gong teacher, will be available to teach us about Ki Gong.
The clinic is open for al World Ki Gong members and members and family of WTSDA members. The clinic will be held in Cam-
pagnille hotel in Delft. If you need more information, please read the invitation letter for the Ki Gong Clinic.
WHAT IS KI GONG?
Ki Gong is a system of training designed to develop the mind, body, and spirit. The easy to follow physical exercises focus on
Meridian, Circulatory, Respiratory, and Ki-Energy systems of the body. Ki Gong provides all the benefits of yoga, Tai-Chi, and
meditation in one discipline. As you proceed through our program, you will advance through different levels of physical exercise,
accessing Ki-Energy and circulation.

For the first time in European history we will organize a Black Belt Clinic on Friday October 21st. An unique opportunity to train
under Grandmaster Shin (9th dan) and to meet and train with other European Masters. A various of Tang Soo Do essentials will
be in the programm, such as basics, hyungs and weapons. Including special sessions about effective and advanced sparring and
ho sin sul. Also there will be an opportunity to participate in a judging course for certification.
All participants of this clinic will receive a complementary lunch, certificate and an T-Shirts. So don’t miss unique
opportunity to participate. The Black Belt Clinic is for all ages and also available for cho dan bo’s!

BBC / EC / AFTER PARTY
For black belts and cho-dan-bo who participate at the 1st European Black Belt Clinic and the European
Championship, we have arranged a special offer at a big holidaypark “Duinrell”, which is located in Wassenaar near the coast.
You will stay with 5 other black belts in a bungalow. This house has 3 rooms (1 room with a double bed,
1 room with two separate beds and 1 room with a bunk bed). You can pre-arrange your roommates by putting
their names on the applicationform. If you do not mention 4 other names, the organization will arrange you
with 4 other participants.
We have arranged scheduled busses that takes you directly from Schiphol Airport or Schiphol train station to
”Duinrell”. This will be Thursday on 19.30 hrs and 22.00 hrs and Friday on 09.00 hrs. If you have a group of at least 50 persons we
can also arrange a departure time at your convenience.
Please note: If there is less than 40 people for each scheduled bus, you have to arrange your own transportation (we can send
you an chipcard with value for public transportation for € 7,50 extra). So please cooperate and let us know ASAP.
We will contact you between 1-5-2011 and 31-5-2011 about the busses.
ABOUT PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
The Netherlands is starting to use a special chipcard which you can use for public transportation.

The last European Championships that was hosted in The Netherlands was in 1996 (Rotterdam). And it is a great honor to be
host again after 15 years. Especially because it’s also our 25th anniversary. It’s a great opportunity to meet the Grandmaster and
the whole TSD family during this day and competing against foreign friends. This time the EC will be helt in Pijnacker, a small
place close to the bigger cities such as The Hague, Delft and Rotterdam.
It is a new sportcenter with great space for participants and spectators, we have a tribune on the second floor that fits 500 peo-
ples. And a good catering for our participants.
Entrance wrist-bands can only be purchased with the application form in advance.

ELIGIBILITY: All competitors must be currently registered with the World Tang Soo Do Association for 2011 and
must wear the official WTSDA white dobohk.
COMPETITION Forms (Hyungs), Sparring (Dae Ryun), Weapon Forms, Creativity Division numbers will be assigned
CATEGORIES: after all competitor applications have been received. Creativity is a teambased competition.
One team is allowed per country.
PRIZES: All divisions will have 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and co-3rd trophies in each category. Participation medals will
be given for non-placing participants in all divisions. WTSDA Division Champion Trophies will be
awarded to the overall winners for each division, and the WTSDA European Cup will be awarded to
both the male and female Grand Champions.
ENTRANCE For safety reasons all contestants and spectators MUST have a wristband to enter premises.
WRIST-BANDS: Spectator wristbands are € 5.00 for adults / childrens 13 yrs and above and € 2,00 for childrens
between 5 -13 years old. and can only be purchased with your registration form. Non-competing
children 5 years of age and under may enter free.
RULES: All rules and regulations as published in the WTSDA Championship Rule Book will apply to the
competition. Mouth guards, head gear, groin cups for males, and hand & foot gear are mandatory.
All contestants must wear the correct, complete and approved uniform (dobohk) and solid color
(one color) belts for competition. For specifics regarding all forms allowed for both weapons hyung
and empty-hand hyung for each rank, please see below.

After a long day of tournament the after party is a excellent way to meet new friends or to catch up with someone.
Along with the celebration of our 25th anniversary of the NTSDA (The Dutch Tang Soo Do Association), it will be a
great party. We want to welcome all of you to celebrate this memorable happening with us including a nice buffet
dinner and music. This party is open for all members and friends.
The party will be held in the restaurant “De Viergang”. The same place as the European Championship. We can only
host 300 peoples, so make sure you buy your ticket in time.

We have selected four hotels for the ones who don’t want to use the convenience of our Duinrell Park packages and
wants to travel by there own. Some hotels are closer to the events and some are easier to reach by public transpor-
tation. So please inform yourself about the transportation before you book, the schedule in the weekend are less
