Dear Friends and Colleagues:
   2009 has been an extraordinary year filled with memo-
ries. National and international observances were held in
honor of President Harry S. Truman’s 125th birthday an-
niversary.
   The 2008 presidential election saw all candidates from
both the Democratic and Republican parties invoking
Harry Truman in their campaign speeches and promises.
   In February 2009, C-Span Cable News Network con-
cluded its latest poll by 64 presidential historians ranking

 The Key West Harry S Truman Foundation, Inc. exists for the purpose of protecting and preserving
