                                 TRANSLATOR / INTERPRETER REQUEST PROCEDURES
                   PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT THE INTERPRETERS DIRECTLY TO ARRANGE SERVICES.

INTERPRETER SERVICES
To schedule an interpreter please contact Patricia Linan at the Educational Services at least two weeks (10 working days) prior to
the date of the meeting by phone at (951) 765-5100 ext. 3302 or by e-mail. Please submit your request as quickly as possible as
we schedule on a first come first serve basis. The interpreters will only be available for the time requested, if additional time is
needed you will have to schedule another meeting date with Pat.

After reviewing the schedules, an interpreter will be assigned based on availability. We realize that some meetings may suddenly
arise and we will make every effort to arrange for interpretation for such instances. If no one is available at that time, you will
have to make arrangements to have the meeting when an interpreter is available. All requests will be answered in the order
received and your date/time will be confirmed via e-mail.

      NOTE: Please have all materials ready for Speech Testing as the Translator/Interpreters no longer have access
      to testing materials.

PROCEDURES TO CANCEL AND RESCHEDULE INTERPRETER SERVICES
To cancel and reschedule, please contact Patricia Linan directly by phone or e-mail and provide the information that was
submitted on the services request form. Last minute cancelations- it is imperative to contact both Pat Linan and the interpreter
assigned to your meeting by phone or email and provide the information that was submitted on the services request form.

WRITTEN TRANSLATION SERVICES
  Please submit your translation request at least two weeks (10 working days) prior to the date needed. Most
  1-3 page documents can be completed in 10 days. Additional pages will require additional time. All requests will
  be assigned to a translator in the order received. New Student/Parent Handbooks (not previously translated) may
  take up to 90 days to complete. Other document turnaround time is based on the number of pages to be translated
  and current number of translation requests district-wide. We realize that some translations may suddenly arise and
  we will make every effort to accommodate those last minute requests.

  Please submit the following with your Request for Written Translation Services:
      Send a copy of final version document needing translation
      Send a copy of previous translation via e-mail (if document has been translated before)
          Fax or e-mail your Written Translation Request Form with an administrator’s signature to Pat at the Ed Services.

PHONE CALLS INTERPRETER REQUESTS
All phone call requests are sent directly to Pat Linan with the required interpreter request form. Other phone calls
needing immediate interpreter assistance please contact Pat Linan directly.
