       You are cordially invited to attend our 34th annual AAVFD Conference on August 26 –
27, 2011 at the Grand Hotel Marriott Resort, hosted by AAVFD District Eight Association
(Baldwin, Clark, Conecuh, Mobile, and Washington Counties).

        The vendor area will be at the Grand Hotel. We will publicize among the 1000 plus
Volunteer Fire Departments in Alabama those vendors will be available from 12:00 noon to
5:00pm on Friday the 26th and 8:00am to 2:00 pm on Saturday the 27th. The vendor area will be
secured during non-use periods to help safeguard your displays; however, responsibility for any
items is yours.

        Exhibit areas are 10’ x 10’ with one (1) table at a cost of $200.00 each. We ask that you
Conference Register for $35.00 pre-register or $40.00 at the registration table when you arrive,
all ages. This cost includes the cookout meal on Friday night and Banquet on Saturday night.
Your motel reservations may be made contacting the Host Motel which is the Grand Hotel
Marriott Resort 1 Grand Boulevard Point Clear, Al (251)928-9201. The overflow motels will be
the Holiday Inn Express 19751 Greeno Rd Fairhope, AL (251)928-9191, Hampton Inn 23 North
Section St Fairhope, AL (251)928-0956, and Key West Inn 231 Greeno Rd S Fairhope, Al
(251)990-7373. Please emphasize you are with the AAVFD Fire Conference.

        In the planning for our annual conference no alcoholic beverages will be permitted in the
class or training areas, competition areas, vendor areas, or in any AAVFD meeting (including the
business meeting); nor will any “raffle type” option offering an alcoholic beverage as a “prize”
be permitted at the conference.

                          2011 ANNUAL CONFERENCE

The 2011 Annual AAVFD Conference will be hosted by the District Eight Association in
Fairhope on August 26 – 27, 2011.

Registration will be $35.00 per person. Please have registration turned in by August 12, 2011.
After this date registration cost will be $40.00 per person.

Registration and Vendors will be held at Grand Hotel Marriott Resort 1 Grand Boulevard Point
Clear, Al (251)928-9201. Friday night cook out & Saturday competition locations will be
announced later.

Competition events will be announced later!!!

The Awards Banquet will be nearby at Oak Hollow Farms on Saturday night.
