					        Electronic Devices / Cellular Phones / Dress Policy
                (PERSONAL PROPERTY POLICY)


A student will not bring or possess any object that has no educational
purpose and may distract from teaching and learning. (Rule 4 FWCS
Behavior Violations) Examples include, but are not limited to:
TOYS: Possession of any toys, games, etc., without permission of the
administration. (Toy weapons will result in more severe consequences.)
RADIO OR OTHER LISTENING / RECORDING DEVICES: Possession of radio,
Walkman, CD player, or other electronic devices without permission from
administration.
PAGERS / CELLULAR PHONES / ELECTRONIC DEVICES: Possession of a
telephone, pager, IPOD, MP3 players or similar device on school property.
OTHER: Possession of any object that could disrupt the normal order of school
to include, but not limited to personal security alarms, look-alike beepers, laser
lights or other electronic devices / toys, matches and / or lighter.
Cell phones must be kept in lockers or cars during the school day. Students are
free to use cell phones on school grounds after the 2:35 p.m. dismissal bell. If
cell phones are seen or heard prior to 2:35 p.m., they will be confiscated. If
student refuses to hand over any of the items listed above, this will result in
insubordination and suspension.
Students who misuse the electronic devices will experience the same
consequences as the cell phones.
   1st offense – Loss of possession for one (1) week. If resistance is shown,
      loss will be extended to (2) weeks.
   2nd offense – Loss of possession for two (2) weeks. If resistance is
      shown, loss will be extended to (4) weeks.
   3rd offense – Loss of possession for nine (9) weeks. If resistance is
      shown, loss will be extended to (18) weeks.
   4th offense – Loss of possession until the end of the school year.
               ***ALL PARTS OF THE ITEM WILL BE CONFISCATED
             WHICH INCLUDES BATTERIES AND MEMORY CARDS***

IF ANY OF THE ABOVE MENTIONED ITEMS ARE PRESENT AT SCHOOL,
THEY WILL BE CONFISCATED. THE SCHOOL IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR
ANY LOST OR STOLEN ITEMS MENTIONED ABOVE.

ANY UNCLAIMED ITEMS WILL BE DISCARDED EFFECTIVE JULY 1 OF THE
YEAR IT WAS CONFISCATED.
