• Ultimate Rainbow Hot-fix Crystals Set—3 mm (HFCURST3)
• Ultimate Rainbow Hot-fix Crystals Set—4 mm (HFCURST4)
Helpful Tips
• Stabilize linen fabric with Best Press Starch Alternative, following instructions.
• Lay out pattern pieces.
- Allow approximately ½" extra fabric around all pieces that will be embroidered. The embroidery may pull in the fabric slightly.
Adding a little extra to seam allowances will enable you to precisely trim pieces to size after completing the embroidery.
- Cut out pattern pieces, allowing the larger seam allowances. Baste stitching lines on cut-out sections to serve as embroidery
positioning guides.
• Embroider the garment sections.
- Use a water activated self-adhesive stabilizer or a self-adhesive stabilizer as indicated on package instructions rather than
hooping the garment. Simply hoop the stabilizer and adhere the garment piece to the sticky area of the stabilizer. Economize
by using stabilizer on a roll. Instead of cutting the stabilizer to the size of the hoop, keep the stabilizer on the roll when you
hoop. After embroidering the first section, carefully tear away the fabric from the stabilizer. Give the stabilizer a quick press to
smooth out the wrinkles from the first hooping; then rehoop the next section of the stabilizer and continue embroidering.
- All design components are pictured on the following pages. Each grouping indicates the order in which the various designs
making up that grouping should be stitched. In each instance, start with background designs and work toward foreground
designs. Some designs are embroidered over portions of other designs.
- Refer to the illustrations for each pattern piece to determine the alignment for each design. On some pieces an edge of the
design must be aligned horizontally with a pattern edge, while on others an edge should align vertically. Use the pattern illus-
trations as a guide. Remember that the embroidery should not extend into pattern seam allowances. Use the basted stitching
lines as a guide.
- When embroidering sleeve designs, remember to mirror image the designs for the sleeve cap and the hemline before embroi-
dering those areas on the second sleeve.
- Remove excess stabilizer after embroidery is complete. Then reposition the pattern pieces on the embroidered sections and cut
pieces precisely to size.
• Optional: Embellish the embroidery with Hot-fix Swarovski® Crystals before assembling the blouse. Position crystals so they are
not near seam allowances; you cannot sew through the crystals.
• Follow the easy pattern instructions to complete wrap top construction.
Design Layout and Modifications
The guides on the following pages indicate which designs were used, where those designs were placed on the wrap top, and how the
designs were modified (resized, rotated, mirror imaged, or thread colors modified from those indicated with the designs), as well as the
design stitching order.
= Degrees to rotate left = Mirror image horizontally % = Percentage to resize design
= Degrees to rotate right = Mirror image vertically
