Old Dominion Soccer League

             Fall 2002
Sponsoring Organization
         Every team participating in the ODSL must be sponsored by an existing Soccer Club or Association. Please
provide the name of the sponsor and a contact at the organization that can provide verification. Each sponsoring
organization should provide an ODSL Representative who can cast votes for all the participating teams at the General
Membership Meeting. Note: No commercial sponsor names or logos may appear on the player’s uniforms.

Age Group
          In order to qualify for an age group, every rostered member of the team must have been born on or after August
1st, of the given year:
U9 1993 ~U10 1992~U11 1991~U12 1990~U13 1989~U14 1988~U15 1987~U16 1986~U17~1985~U19 1983
          All written correspondence will be sent to only one address per team. All schedule change notification will be
made via e-mail. Each team must provide an E-mail contact address.
          Each week the home team is required to make an advance call to the visiting team by the Wednesday preceding
the match. Please indicate who is to receive that call, or other calls in the event of rain-outs.

Home Field
         Every club that sponsors teams to the ODSL has an absolute obligation to its teams to commit definite fields
and playing times to the league at the time of their application. Each team should coordinate with their sponsoring
organization the availability of a home field for match play on Sundays, and in some cases an occasional Saturday. The
name of the person responsible for field scheduling for each club must be provided on the application. The ODSL
Administrator will contact each club’s scheduler and give instructions for filling out a field availability form for the club’s
teams. All field availability forms must be completed by August 1, 2002. These fields must be available through
November 17, 2002. The ODSL encourages play after 12:00 Noon on Sundays. All of a club’s applications will be
returned if this information has not been provided by August 1st.
         Please check directions to your field at and report any discrepancies.

Referee Assignor
          Each sponsoring organization must provide to the ODSL the name of an assignor who will coordinate the
referees for each of their home matches. All teams from each sponsoring organization must use the same assignor. An
e-mail address is critical, as assignors will be informed by E-mail of any schedule changes.

         All applications and registration fees must be postmarked by July 6, 2002. The last day to withdraw and
receive a partial refund is July 15, 2001. Notice of withdrawal must be sent to the administrator in writing.

U9 Play
         No standings will be posted and no trophies will be awarded at the U9 level. All U9 teams will receive ODSL
patches in the Fall and pins in the Spring.

          U9 teams $375.00           U10 teams $415.00          U11 and older teams $515.00
          This fee does not include the $9.50 per player that must be paid to our registrar for state player pass fees and
insurance when the team has its roster approved. The League fee must be paid each season. The player pass fee is a
once a year fee. Once the application and league fee have been received and approved, teams will be mailed a player
registration packet. All rosters and player pass forms for teams must be submitted to the team’s assigned registrar by
