To find Catholic Mass times to fulfill your weekend Mass obligation go to www.masstimes.org. Faithfulness of Christ, Faithfulness of Priests Pope Benedict XVI declared a “Year for Priests” that began June 19, 2009 and will conclude in Rome with an international gathering of priests with the Holy Father on June 19, 2010. With the announcement of the Year for Priests, the Pope has declared St. John Vianney the Universal Patron of Priests on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the death of the Curé d’Ars. There are 408,000 priests in the world. Pope Benedict has called for this time to be a year for prayer and sanctification for all priests. Cardinal Hummes, prefect of the Congregation for Clergy writes, “May it be a year of public celebration which will bring the people to pray, to reflect and to celebrate and justly to give honor to their priests.” We, at Holy Family and St. Mary’s Parishes are so blessed to have Father Laible and Father Pham with their constant prayers, love, comfort and support for us. May God bless them and we thank them for their holy work. MARK SEPTEMBER 27TH ON YOUR CALENDAR NOW! “Together for Lincoln” will be held on September 27. MARY’S CHURCH ATLANTA, ILLINOIS Prayer to Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament --by St. Alphonsus Liguori Weekly Parish Support from July 5 Collection Adults Loose Total $427.00 $ 60.00 $487.00 Reader July 19 - Laura O’Donnell My Lord Jesus Christ, Who, through the love which You bear toward men, does remain with them day and night in this Sacrament, full of mercy and love, awaiting, inviting and receiving all who come to visit You, I believe that You are present in the Sacrament of the Altar. From the abyss of my nothingness, I adore You. I thank You for all the graces which You have bestowed upon me, particularly for having given me Yourself in this Sacrament, for having given my Your most holy Mother Mary for my advocate, and for having called me to visit You in this church. I pay my homage to Your most loving Heart for these three ends: 1) in thanksgiving for this great Gift; 2) to make amends to You for all the outrages which You do receive in this Sacrament from all Your enemies; 3) I intend by this visit to adore You in all the places on earth in which You are present in this Sacrament and in which You are the least honored and the most abandoned. My Jesus, I love You with my whole heart. I am sorry for having offended Your infinite goodness so many times. I purpose, with the help of Your grace, never more to offend You; and, at this moment, miserable as I am, I consecrate my whole being to You. I give You my entire will, all my affections and desires and all that I have. From this day forward, do what You will with me and with everything that belongs to me. I ask and desire only Your holy love, the gift of final perseverance and the perfect fulfillment of Your will. I commend to You the souls in Purgatory, particularly those who were most devoted to the Most Blessed Sacrament and to the Blessed Virgin Mary; and I also commend to You all poor sinners. Finally, my dear Savior, I unite all my affections with the affections of Your most loving Heart; and thus united, I offer them to Your Eternal Father, and I entreat Him, in Your Name and for Your sake, to accept and answer them. Amen. Servers July 19 - Evan Jodlowski & Kenyon Jodlowski Mass on Sunday, July 19, at 9:00 am will be offered for Mary Margaret Fox at the request of Harold & Dorothy Westerfield • This Sunday, July 12, we will have a Breakfast Potluck after Mass. Please take note of the announcement, on a previous page in this bulletin, about Phone Cards for our Wounded Warriors. • SPONSOR OF THE WEEK Please patronize our bulletin sponsors. Our bulletins are printed free of charge to Holy Family Parish due to these sponsors. The Christian Village Peace Prayer Of st. francis of Assisi LORD, MAKE ME an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; and where there is sadness, joy. Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen.
