REALTOR® SAFETY TIP: Secure your windows and locks You can mount locks on the corners of sides of windows to keep them secure even when partially open. You can do this with window pinning (inserting a pin or nail above a window so it can’t be opened) or track fillers (such as a wooden pole placed into the track of the window). “Your Voice in Real Estate” Bayou Board News   THE JULY 2009 MONTHLY GATHERING WILL BE THE CHRISTMAS IN JULY SOCIAL! BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING – The Directors of the Bayou Board of REALTORS® will be meeting on Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at the Board Office starting at 9:00 am. If you are unable to attend or would like to add to the agenda notify Modez no later than the Monday prior to the meeting in “writing”. Any REALTOR® member wishing to attend the Board of Directors meetings must notify Modez no later than the Monday prior to the meeting, to ensure adequate seating. ELECTION OF OFFICERS AND DIRECTORS – The Bayou Board of REALTORS will be holding the annual election on Thursday, August 6, 2009. WHAT REALTORS® NEED TO HAVE TO RENEW THEIR LICENSE IN 2009? All Licensees need to have 12-hours of education through the Louisiana Real Estate Commission no later than December 31, 2009, keep the following in mind. The State mandated 2009 4-hour topic is “Residential Agreement to Buy or Sell”. The other 8-hours needed are optional as long as they are approved by the Louisiana Real Estate Commission.
