This service that yo u perform is no t o nly supplying the needs of God's people but is a lso o verflowing in many expressio ns of thanks to Go d”. We want to share with you about our ministry during three months April-J une o f 2009 year.
Prayer letter
April.
On the week of Easter we were able to visit two orphanages with fruit and sweet presents. We were able to prepare over 250 presents with sponsor help and help of our church members. It was great joy for children to get gift to day of Jesus Resurrection. All they tried to reply to our words “Christ is risen!” with exclamation – “He is risen indeed!” But still we have obstacles to work with orphanages. At April we with Emma made attempts to develop children phone ministry – “Hallo! Friend”. Every week we have the Gospel story for children, which they can heir by calling to the phone number. Every month we have about 50-100 phone calls. At month of April we shared the flyers with children and were working with equipment. Please, pray that state would see the benefit of church charity and we will have opened doors into orphanages.
May.
Music is big deal for children and teens. At this month we had quest band from Texas. During the week we were able to visit with concerts two schools, orphanage, we went to region towns. We made evangelism concerts in our Nizhny Novgorod churches as well. With God’s help and our friendsmusicians we reached over 500 young people with Gospel music and personal testimonies. At end of May and beginning of June we led the course “Teaching children effectively” for Sunday school teachers. We had 14 teachers from 5 city and region evangelical churches. We are glad to see that churches see the need to develop grow up their future generations. We understand that practical education is key approach to rise the leaders of ministry. Please, join with us in prayers, that God would help us to form our own church band. For the developing of youth and student ministry in our churches. For opening a church evangelism children clubs.
June.
At June we had big event for or Baptist churches. Our Nizhny Novgorod Baptist Association held the Men conference “The discipline of real men”. It took not a little of efforts to take the place. We had about 500 men from different Baptist churches. We pray that our christian men will take more responsibility for spiritual condition of our churches for the whole nation of Russia. As every year we arranged Calvary church week daily camp for neighbor children. More and more parents trust their children to us. This year we had 32 children from neighbor unbelief families. We are grateful to God for this opportunity to influence to children hearts. We had several converts. Right after this week we held week teenager tent camp on Volga river. This year we had 60 kids and most of them were from unchristian families. This year we chose Book of Romans Bible Study. We try to explain to kids the great truth of God’s revelation, faith and encouraging of Holy Spirit. We pray that these seeds will bring the fruits at special day of God’s visit in their lives. Please, for more men join our churches, for children clubs will be opened in our city churches, for follow up with these children after the camps.
Other ministry.
Vadim is leading the Calvary Baptist church as pastor. It is volunteer ministry for him. It takes a lot of time, strength and thoughts. Emma is working as volunteer in Baptist Association as Sunday school coordinator. In addition, Vadim is ministering as Baptist Association education department leader.
