                   AN EVENING OUT WITH JAMES BOND….

THE Bodmin and Wenford Railway – Cornwall’s only full size railway still operated by steam

locomotives – is offering another opportunity to enjoy a very special evening out in the

company of James Bond on Friday 3 June at 7pm….

You will be able to spend an evening in the secret agent world of the Cold War 1960s – the world of

Bond, Goldfinger and Spectre Agents – and enjoy a steam train journey taking them across the east/west

borders of 1960s Germany….

A plot of Espionage and Intrigue will unfold itself during the course of the evening and amongst the

passengers will be both British and Foreign secret agents, each intent on getting their hands on a Russian


Upon arrival, each passenger will be given £1,000 worth of free gambling chips, and prior to departure and

again later in the evening everyone will have the chance to test their gambling skills on professionally run

Roulette and Blackjack tables.      Prizes are on offer for the highest winners.

The special train will be steam hauled and the evening itself starts at Bodmin General at 7pm, with free car

parking available at the station.     The fare is inclusive of the steam train journey, a ham/cheese/salmon

salad and a complimentary glass of wine, and costs £19.95, £9.95 or £54.95 for an Adult, Child or Family

respectively       –   advance      booking     is   essential,   either     via   the   Railway’s   website or by telephone (0845 125 9678).                 There will also be a fully

licensed bar on board the train open all evening.

The whole evening is being run jointly by Duchy Murder Productions and the Bodmin & Wenford Railway

– the same partnership that stages the hugely successful Murder Mystery Specials on the line each summer,

on which over 18,000 visitors have participated over the last ten years alone.

“We have run several James Bond Evenings to date and all have proved to be very popular,” comments

The Bodmin & Wenford Railway – Cornwall’s only working standard gauge heritage branch line and one of
its principal tourist attractions – operates predominantly steam, and some heritage diesel, trains over a
distance of 6½ miles from Bodmin Parkway to Boscarne Junction via Bodmin General through some very
