#2 Pencils (needed for each class, year-round) Lined loose leaf paper Colored pencils Six (6) - single-subject spiral notebooks One (1) “composition notebook” – needed for Social Studies Five (5) - color-coded pocket folders (three-hole punched) Twin pocket portfolio w/fasteners – needed for General Music Three (3) yellow highlighters Ruler (metric) Eraser Scissors Compass and Protractor One (1) pkg. of 3 x 5 index cards Two (2) 1 ” 3-ring binder One (1) sketchbook (spiral bound preferred) Hand-held pencil sharpener Black Fine Point Sharpie Marker Gray short sleeve t-shirt & black shorts for PE (available for order on Schedule/Picture Day) Two (2) large boxes of facial tissues (to give to Tiger Time teacher on 1st day of school) Trapper Keeper/binder to organize notebooks/folders Heavy duty book bag (we don’t recommend the rolling ones as they don’t fit in the lockers) Calculator (Texas Instrument 30X IIS calculator or any calculator your child is comfortable with. We strongly urge you to have your child’s name etched or written with permanent ink on the calculator.)
As a whole our student body consumes a great amount of copy paper during the school year. If you are interested in helping us with this need, we would appreciate any donations. Please turn these items in to your student’s Tiger Time teacher. *State law prohibits BMS from mandating that students provide these supplies even though they are consumed by each individual student. Please contact the school office if you need assistance in supplying these items.
Student Planner and Labs: $10.00 (Payable on August 20th during Schedule/Picture Day.) The BMS Student Planners are distributed during BMS Schedule/Picture Day. Your payment helps to offset the cost of the planner as well as lab expenses for student consumed materials in Art, Family and Consumer Science, Technology Education, and Media Production classes. Your financial support is needed in order for
BMS to be able to purchase resources needed for positive lab experiences. Please contact the school office if you need assistance covering this expense.
