TENTATIVE LIST OF TOPICS & SPEAKERS
Representative Brooks Coleman, Georgia
Rep. Coleman is a life long educator and is currently the Chairman of the House
Education Committee in the Georgia Legislature. He presents a very high energy
presentation with a great message that takes you back to the “good ol’ days.
A number of State Legislators will be on hand to conduct a panel discussion on the
results of this year’s legislative session.
STATEWIDE DRUG & ALCOHOL DATA BASE:
Ms. Anita Gottsponer from the Dept. of Finance & Administration will be on hand to
demonstrate and explain the new data base that school districts are require to use for drug
and alcohol testing.
STUDENT MANAGEMENT AND DISCIPLINE:
Mr. Brad Holley from the Alabama Department of Education will be conducting a
session on basic school bus student management.
CDL LICENSES AND THIRD PARTY TESTING:
Mr. Monty Pride from the Arkansas State Police will discuss third party testing and
possible new regulations being initiated at the federal level.
WHAT IF IT’S NOT YOUR EMERGENCY:
Ms. Angie Scott from Gravette School District will discuss the role of the school district
transportation department in an emergency not related directly to transportation.
