Introduction David Burgos It is rare in a teacher’s life to encounter a student such as David Burgos who has attended Vanguard High School for the past four years; he has an ability to think analytically and creatively, his participation in the IB program has led him to develop a life long love of learning and a pursuit of knowledge. In 2007 David was named Mr. Vanguard High, not only because of his academic dedication, but also because of his true spirit of humanity and caring attitude, volunteering through community service David has accumulated over 500 hours. Besides his rigorous academic program, David’s extra-curricular activities include being a member of the National Honor Society, WVHS, the yearbook staff, The French Club, Pink Ladies Service Club, playing on the Vanguard Soccer team and JV Football team, a very determined and disciplined student who has maintained a 3.8 GPA. David has been accepted to Florida State University where he’ll major in TV/Film Production, Cinematography and Directing. We take the opportunity to wish David the very best as he discovers the depth of knowledge and understanding in an institution of higher learning.
