From Ongar High Street (travelling towards Brentwood)
At Ongar Bridge, take the turning at the ‘triangle’, signed to Greensted and
Toot Hill (‘The Borough’ which leads into Greensted Road), just before ‘The
Two Brewers’. Pass Greensted Church (on your right). Follow the road for 1.1
miles and turn left (signed Toot Hill) after the postbox (Toot Hill Road). Pass
through Toot Hill (towards Epping) and continue on this road (Epping Road
leading to New Road and then Banks Lane) for 2.2 miles. The driveway to
Gaynes Park is on the right on a left-hand bend after a roadsign showing a horse
and rider.

From Epping High Street
At the mini roundabout take ‘Station Road’ (signed to Epping Station), leading
to Bower Hill then Mount Road. Follow the road for 2.1 miles (past signs for
Sports Centre and Golf Course and the Merry Fiddler Pub on your right), go
under the M11. Take the next turn left into Banks Lane and follow the road to
the top of the hill, the driveway for Gaynes Park is on the left just after a traffic
sign showing a rider and a horse and as the road bends right.

From (M25) M11 Junction 7
Take the road to Epping (B1393) London Road, leading to High Road and then
Thornwood Road. Go through Epping High Street. Just after the pedestrian
crossing (with St. John the Baptist Church on the right) turn left at the double
mini-roundabout turn left into Station Road . Follow this road, initially signed
for the station and then Toot Hill/Ongar - past the Merry Fiddlers pub and
under the M11. Take the first turning left (Banks Lane), the road rises and on
the brow of the hill (just as the road bends right) is the driveway to Gaynes Park.

Alternatively: Take the road to Epping (B1393). London Road, leading to High
Road and then Thornwood Road. After traffic lights take the fourth turning left
(Stonards Hill), follow this road through Coopersale Street. After a right hand
bend turn left at the crossroads (Merry Fiddler pub is opposite), turn into Mount
Road and follow this road until it passes under the M11. Take the first turning
left (Banks Lane), the road rises and on the brow of the hill (just as the road
bends right) is the driveway to Gaynes Park.

From Chelmsford (A414)
Follow A414 past Ongar, (straight over at the Four Wantz roundabout) past
Blake Hall. Turn left at the Cross Roads (near Bovinger) marked Toot Hill (this
is after a speed-triggered illuminated traffic warning sign. Follow signs for Toot
Hill. Pass through Toot Hill (towards Epping) and continue on this road
(Epping Road leading to New Road and then Banks Lane) for 2.2 miles. The
driveway to Gaynes Park is on the right on a left-hand bend just after a sign
showing a horse and rider.

From Brentwood (A128)
At Marden Ash turn right at the mini roundabout (signed for Ongar). Go down
the hill and after the pedestrian crossing turn left - The Two Brewers will be on
your immediate left. Pass Greensted Church (on your right). Follow the road
for 1.1 miles and turn left (signed Toot Hill) after the postbox (Toot Hill Road).
Pass through Toot Hill (towards Epping) and continue on this road (Epping
Road leading to New Road and then Banks Lane) for 2.2 miles. The driveway to
Gaynes Park is on the right on a left-hand bend after a roadsign showing a horse
and rider.
