Special Children’s Program As We End Passover
On Tuesday evening, April 26, we will hold a special program for all children and their parents/grandparents in the closing hours of Pesach.
After Minchah, which will begin at 7:20 p.m., all children are invited to deliver a Dvar Torah that they have prepared.
Children can prepare this Dvar Torah by themselves, with their parents, or with Rabbi Whitman in the days and weeks before. Each child who
participates will be duly recognized, with prizes and refreshments for all.
Come celebrate the beauty of our children and their accomplishments as a fitting climax to the Festival of Pesach.

JAMIE POLLACK – AUGUST 27, 2011
Jamie is a bright, intelligent and sharp 13 year old; he is very strong willed and though he portrays a tough outer shell,
his heart is big! Jamie attends St. Thomas High School, where he excels in music.
He enjoys all forms of sports but seems to excel in playing hockey.
He has a great love for the military (Air Force) and has a photo of a CF-18 Hornet (fighter Jet) up in his room and he
swears to me that one day he will pilot that plane. He also loves to tinker with and build things.
He is a very loving and warm child, and always looks to get a hug or a kiss from us anytime he can.
                                                                                                                      continued on page 24

ROBBIE LILIEN – SEPTEMBER 3, 2011
Robbie is a 12 year old boy who is having his Bar Mitzvah on Labour Day weekend of 2011. He is the younger of
two children and he is the loving son of Orna and Joey Lilien.
Robbie attends Bialik High School and is a graduate of J.P.P.S. His hobbies are playing hockey, baseball, video
games and hanging out with his friends and family.
Robbie has barely been separated since grade 1 from his two best friends, Matthew and Stav.
The important values that Robbie has are his religion, family, school and sports. Robbie thinks that no one should
forget their religion because it is part of one’s identity and it would be like forgetting your name.

Arielle loves sports. She has been doing competitive gymnastics for several years. She has many varied interests, amongst
which are soccer, volleyball, swimming, baking, reading and relaxing with her cat, Sandy!
Every summer, she attends an art college in Haliburton, Ontario, goes to Kinneret (a sleep away camp in Mont Tremblant)
and enjoys a family vacation at the beach, including hiking, nature trails and biking.
Arielle enjoys spending time with her family and many friends!
We are looking forward to celebrating Arielle's bat mitzvah.
