   Description: The incumbent develops, coordinates, and carries through complete planning to identify short
   and long range tribal needs and goals. They meet with tribal and agency representatives to discuss planning
   with respect to identify tribal needs. They compile, study, and evaluate background information to write
   narrative documents for planning the Nation’s future transportation needs. The incumbent develops short and
   long range Tribal Transportation Improvement Plans (TTIP). They arrange and conduct meetings with Tribal
   Roads Committee and any governmental representatives, to present the Nation’s transportation planning ides.

   Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Transportation Planning, Engineering, Economics, Resource
   Development, Statistics or related field with one (1) to two (2) years related experience in transportation
   planning, urban planning, land use planning, or engineering experience OR five (5) or more years
   progressive experience in transportation planning, urban planning, land use planning, or engineering. Must
   be able to read and write reports, file, attend and conduct meetings and have the potential to learn the
   department’s process and procedure. The incumbent must have the ability to comprehend the Code of
   Federal Regulations as it relates to the IRR Program (CFR25 § 170 and 900J). Planning requires a basic
   knowledge of land use and tribal and community demographics close to or in Seminole County that is
   characteristically learned through growing up or working in the area.

   Seminole Nation Tribal/Indian Preference: Qualified Seminole Tribal Member/Indian Applicants will
   receive preference over Non-Indian Applicants. Priority in selection will be given to Indian candidates who
   present proof of eligibility for Indian preference. Verification in the form of a Tribal Enrollment Card or
   Certificate of Degree of Indian Blood (CDIB) must be provided with the application of a candidate who
   claims Indian preference.
