EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Zeatech Computer System Pte Ltd, a leading company in Information Technology services based in Singapore
has received a Request for Quote (RFQ) from SHA with detailed requirement specifications.

We at Zeatech, specialize in providing various services like Website Design and Development, Web
Application Development, Desktop Application Development and Product Development with an innovative
approach to technology and designing methods. We also provide various solutions like Web 2.0, Content
Management Systems, B2B/B2C eCommerce Solutions, Data Mining, Work Flow Solutions, Online Payment
Portal, Reports Development, KIOSK, etc…

We have understood the requirements based on the documents received and our interactions through email.

Our approach and methodology for executing this project will be based on the Water-Fall model of system
development life cycle. Our design approach will be based on 3-tier architecture as described in Section 3.2 –
Design Approach.


Once our proposal is accepted, a development team headed a senior project manager will be assigned to this
project and he will prepare a detailed project plan as described in Section 5.1. The CVs of our team who are
likely to work on this project is given in Section 8 – CVs of key team members for this project.

1.3 Project Objectives
To upgrade the existing website www.advisamed.com by improving the design and make it CMS based.


2.0 Our Understanding of Requirement


   1.   In Scope:

   i) Website Design improvements:

               We will use website design and template of existing website http://www.advisamed.com/
and make the website centre aligned and to expand across the screen. We will also make sure all the
contents are readable and the website design is compatible in the following browsers. Firefox 2x and 3x,
Microsoft Internet explorer 7x, 8x, safari 5x, chrome 1x, 2x and Opera 9x, 10x

We will not be using any new or creative website design. We will just use your existing website design,
templates and logo.

   ii) Website Pages:

      The website will be having the following menus and pages only. All the following pages are just static
CMS pages and anytime you can update the content via admin panel using WYSIWYG editor.

Assumptions:

           a. We assume client will provide us FTP access, database access and control panel access
              (if needed) for your existing website http://www.advisamed.com. Also we assume the
              FTP access and database access will have all the rights and permissions to
              add/edit/delete any files and folders in the FTP. In case the FTP access you provide us
              doesn’t have rights and permissions to add/edit/delete the files and folders then any
              hours we spend on fixing this issue will be billed separately.

           b. We assume your hosting server will support PHP 5.2.x, Mysql 5.x and your hosting
              will be ready to use.

           c. We will client will provide us all the images, background images, logos and all the
              contents in readable document.

           d. This website will be developed using Joomla 1.5 software.

           e. We will make sure the website design is supportable in the following browsers only.
              Firefox 2x and 3x, Microsoft Internet explorer 7x, 8x, safari 5x, chrome 1x, 2x and
              Opera 9x, 10x.

           f. This effort estimation is based on our understanding and assumptions mentioned in this
              document. This effort estimation doesn’t include any
              features/functionality/changes/options/corrections that are not mentioned in this
              document. Suppose, if you want to do any new
              features/functionality/changes/options/corrections in your website later then we will
              analyze and inform you the additional hours required to do the same.

           g. Our effort estimation is to design, develop, test only the tasks/requirements mentioned
              in this document and will not cover design/develop/testing effort for any existing
              website/pages and any new features.

           h. We assume you will clarify our queries (if any) within 24 hours and failed to meet this
              will lead to delay in project delivery.

           i.   We assume that the client will provide acceptance within 3 days after making the
                application updated in live failing which the application will be deemed accepted

Coding Requirement

       The website will have to written in LAMP (Linux, Apache Web Server, My Sql 5(Database), PHP
        5(Server Side Scripting)), Joomla 1.5, Jquery & Ajax (Client Side Scripting) has full programming of
        the specification.

       The code should be commented clearly in English and meaningful variable names should be used.


Performance Requirement

       The site will be optimized for effective memory usage.
       Database will be optimized in order to achieve the fast retrieval and search functionality.




3 Approach & Methodology

Zeatech proposes to use the water-fall approach for upgrading the website. The various phases and the
methodologies to be followed are described in detail as given below:

3.1 Requirements Gathering & Analysis

Zeatech will perform a detailed study on the existing SHA website to fully understand the current
functionality of the system. Our analysts will navigate each and every page of the site and decide on how to
incorporate the functionality changes as mentioned in document . Zeatech did some preliminary analysis for
the purpose of preparing this proposal.

3.2 Design Approach

Zeatech proposes 3-tier architecture for designing the website that includes a Presentation Layer, Business
Logic Layer and Data Base Layer.

   Presentation Layer:

The Presentation Layer is responsible for the delivery and formatting of information to the application layer
for further processing or display. It relieves the application layer of concern regarding syntactical differences
in data representation within the end-user systems.

   Business Logic Layer:

A business logic layer (BLL), also known as the domain layer, is a software engineering practice of
compartmentalizing. The business logic layer is usually one of the tiers in a multitier architecture. It
separates the business logic from other modules, such as the data access layer and user interface.

   Data Base Layer:

A database abstraction layer is an application programming interface which unifies the communication
between a computer application and databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle or SQLite.

       Web Browser is the media through which the end users will make page requests from the Web
        Server.
       An application server is a software framework dedicated to the efficient execution of procedures
        (programs, routines, scripts) for supporting the construction of applications

       A Web server is a computer program that delivers (serves) content, such as Web pages, using the
        Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP), over the World Wide Web.

       File system (often also written as file system) is a method of storing and organizing computer files
        and the data they contain to make it easy to find and access them

       External Systems are other web applications or 3rd party products / services such as Facebook.


Database Design

        Zeatech will analyze and modify the existing database to improve performance.

     Zeatech will use the standard coding method for developing the website to meet the new
     functionality requirements. Coding standards and naming conventions will be used for making code
     changes.

3.4 Testing Strategy

     Zeatech will follow the Testing Strategy as given below for testing the upgraded website:

Browser Testing

      Zeatech will perform cross-browser specific testing to ensure that the website works on Firefox 2x
      and 3x, Microsoft Internet explorer 7x, 8x, safari 5x, chrome 1x, 2x and Opera 9x, 10x

Platform Testing

      Zeatech will test the new website in different platforms like “Microsoft, Linux, and Mac”.

Resolution Testing

      As part of Resolution Testing, the website will be built for 1024x768 screen resolution. The design
      header and footer will stretch for wide screens.

Load Testing

      The website must be load tested. I expect the website and the database to be performing, efficient and
      scalable. Actual concurrent transactions can be discussed. Sections of the code will also be reviewed
      by a third party from the point of view of performance, coding standards and documentation. The site
      will be scalable to work across a load balanced environment with several application servers

Performance Testing

      Zeatech will test the performance efficiency and effectiveness of the upgraded website. This will
      include load testing by simulating the number of multiple / concurrent users logging into the website.
      Apart from these tests, following tests will also be done:

         The site will be tested for optimal usage of memory in an effective manner.

         The database search and retrieval efficiency will be tested thoroughly.

Grammar & Spell Check

      Before the website is launched, a grammar and spell check is performed to ensure there are no
      mistakes.

Detailed Scope of work is determined based on the detailed study and understanding of the customer
requirements received through the Request for Proposal (RFP) / Specification Documents.

Based on the scope of work mutually agreed with the customer, high-level effort estimation is done using the
Zeatech effort estimation model. A preliminary analysis of requirements shows that approximately 700
hours of work effort is required to complete this project.

5.4 Quality Plan

Zeatech always has a focus on process quality and product quality to ensure that high-quality; milestone-
driven deliverables are made, on time, within budget to its customers. Towards achieving this objective,
Zeatech will prepare a quality plan that covers a set of web design process steps and tracks some key
software metrics such as

   On-Time-Delivery
   On-Budget-Delivery
   Defect-Free-Delivery.

Effective review mechanisms are in place at every stage of the project cycle to ensure process compliance
and defect free deliverables. Tools like Checklists and Standards are used to conduct internal reviews, peer
reviews, final inspections, etc., Project Management Reviews are conducted by the Zeatech senior
management periodically to ensure project is on track and issues & concerns are addressed expeditiously.

Zeatech will use the PLAN-DO-CHECK-ACT (PDCA) methodology and Defect Prevention techniques during
the development process. Our plans and schedules are based on customer deadlines and continuous
refinement of our effort estimation models.

5.5. Communication Plan

The communication plan to be adopted for this project is described as follows:

Internal Communication

Communication will happen within the project team using various modes of communication that include
face-to-face meetings, email, phone calls and instant messaging systems. Project teams will also formally
communicate with Zeatech senior management team through emails and conference-room meetings to
discuss project progress, concern areas, mitigation plans, etc.,

External Communication

Communication with customer regarding project status, issues & queries, problem resolution, etc., will
happen through emails and teleconferences.

7 Financials
7.1 Pricing

This project is priced based on analysis of the total effort required for executing this project. Zeatech has
done this analysis using an effort estimation model, developed based on the previous experience of executing
similar projects.

This project will be executed on a Fixed Price basis.

The total cost for this option will be SGD xxxxxx

Any additional new requirements or change requests over and above the agreed scope of work will be
charged at SGD xx per hour

7.2 Payment Terms

The following are the terms of payment for executing this project:

   25% upfront before we start the project
   25% on completion of Milestone 1 (as given in Section 5.3 – Milestone)
   25% on completion of Milestone 2 (as given in Section 5.3 – Milestone)
   25% on completion of Milestone 4 (as given in Section 5.3 – Milestone) after UAT and before making the
    website live (deployed in your hosting server)

7.3 Warranty

The deliverables made will be covered for a warranty against critical fixes and bugs for a period of 2 months
from the date of delivery.

   Zeatech has taken several initiatives to protect its network from internal and external hacking.
   Checkpoint (Sonicwall) firewall has been deployed on all Zeatech Internet gateways to control access to
    the offshore network from Internet.
   Separation of Client network by firewall / Creation of air gapped network
   Intrusion Detection Systems can be based on any specific requirement from our Clients.
   A regular analysis of firewall and IDS logs is also done to find out any suspicious activities.
   Corporate Security Team does a regular Vulnerability Assessment / Penetration Testing (Internal /
    External) of All networking elements and servers
   Regular hardening of Servers / Networking using checklists prepared by the Corporate Security Team
   Trend Micro gateway firewall and Symantec Firewall at the desktop level
   Symantec Enterprise security manager
   Zeatech network can be segregated into Trusted zone , DMZ and distrusted zones
   Zeatech Perimeter security is ensured through deployment of firewalls, hardened routers
   Intrusion detection systems have been installed at gateways. The logs are continuously monitored to
    detect and handle unauthorized intrusions
   Changes to configurations and access list on these systems go through a formal change management
    process eliminating misguided or inadvertent changes. The change management process is in place for all
    infrastructure related changes – internet downloads, software installations, requirement for additional
    privileges or admin rights, Network changes, changes to access control lists on routers/ firewalls, domain
    servers among others.

    are tested periodically for compliance to these checklists.
   Appropriate content filtering products have been deployed for the mail and the internet gateway
   Admin rights on desktops/servers and Internet access is strictly controlled and is given after the
    approval through proper workflow
   Default services which are not required are blocked / disabled wherever not deemed necessary
   Zeatech provides a dedicated working environment for clients if required which is logically and
    physically segregated from Zeatech network and network of other clients. All networking and operating
    devices within the dedicated environment would be under the custody of the Information security
    manager for the Projects and managed by dedicated IT Operations staff

Desktop & Server Security

   Projects are given their own Servers and Desktops and access permissions are so defined that nobody
    external to the project has access
   Software installations are done only by the Zeatech Infrastructure team, either, manually "or" using Tivoli
    Software Distribution. In case the network is air gapped, System Admin personnel will be appointed to
    install all these soft wares
   All desktops are protected with power on password
   Access to resources are restricted based on combination of user authentication and access lists
   Staffs have only general user level passwords and the Infrastructure team controls the Administration
    Passwords
   No remote access facility available to the offshore setup, except to Dot NET team manager
   Unwanted paper based information are disposed off using paper shredders
   Users are made aware of the Clean desk policy of Zeatech where users need to keep the paper based
    information in locked cabinets/ draws when not in use
   Zeatech Desktop Security procedures are enforced through a new Windows Domain set-up
   Password policy, user account lockout policy, desktop settings, automatic locking of user desktop after a
    specific period of inactivity, auditing policy are set through the Windows Domain
   Internet access is only given after proper approval from the Project Managers and Information Security
    Manager
   System Event Logs for servers are regularly monitored by the System Admin team

Antivirus:

The Symantec Antivirus End-Point projection 11.0 software gives the control over scanning operations. The
Virus Scan Enterprise software supports both servers, workstations. Auto protection is enabled in all the
desktop and servers.

All drives are scanned on daily basis for both server and desktop. Scanning includes local and network drives,
as well as e-mail messages, attachments. Any detected, virus infected files are cleaned / quarantined as per
the policy.

Access Control List:

Domain Based Access Control List (ACL) is implemented for the entire folder structure. Based on ACL, users
will be having read or modify access.

Patch Updation:

Service Packs and Hot fixes are the patches from Microsoft for desktop and server. Service packs are used to
patch a wide range of vulnerabilities and bugs. Hot fixes are meant to patch a more specific problem.

Backup:

Project data are stored in magnetic media on weekly and monthly basis in a fireproof vault. Copy of weekly
and monthly backup media is also stored in external hard drives at local site.

Physical Security

The following are in place for physical security:

   Physical Security is the first level deterrent in our layered security approach. Our ODC has a dedicated
    Admin Head to oversee these controls.
   Security starts with assigning ODC a separate work module for its development activities.
   Each center/premise is guarded by 24*7 security guards enrolled from reputed security agencies.
   Background checks are carried out for the security guards
   All associates have a valid photo identity card, which is required to be displayed at all times when the
    associate is in the premises.
   Access to each business premise/location, especially the critical business information processing
    facilities is controlled by a physical access control system. Access Logs for critical area are monitored
    regularly.
   Access to ODC/Projects work module is restricted only to associates of that particular ODC/Projects.
   A well-defined mechanism is in place for granting, reviewing and revoking of access in the ODC / Projects
    / Premise.
   Sound visitor management policies are in place to control entry into premise. Logs are maintained for
    visitors
   Visitors are restricted from visiting the Work areas
   Media/property movement is restricted, controlled, recorded and analyzed
   Equipment Reuse and Disposal Policy is in Place
   Controls are in place for equipment disposal and reuse to ensure information is not compromised

   Maintenance/repairs by third party is in presence of the asset custodian
   Non Disclosure Agreements have been signed with all our third party vendors
   Zeatech follows a ‘Clear Screen and Clear desk Policy’ to reduce risk of unauthorized access, damage to
    and loss of information both during and outside working hours
   Adequate power backup arrangements are in place for any contingency and unwarranted situation
   Premise and Equipment is suitably protected against environmental hazards
   Zeatech has a well developed fire prevention and detection program (fire alarms) and drills are carried
    out periodically to test the same
   Cameras, Video or other recording equipment are not allowed inside the work premises
