knowledge of sounds of letters to recognise words in linear and non-linear
texts.
Learning Standard: 2.1.1 Able to identify and distinguish the shapes of the letters in the alphabet.
Objectives: By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:
1. identify the uppercase letters in the alphabet
2. read out the letters in the alphabet
3. write the uppercase letters in the alphabet
