2008 Chairman’s Welcome Message
On behalf of the Jewel of the Great Lakes Committee andWisconsin Dental Association officers, trust-
ees and staff, I want to welcome you to the 2008 WDA Annual Session. Once again, we make a full circle This year’s corporate sponsors are:
around the state and return back to Milwaukee, where it all began. Most are familiar with the surroundings
and everything is close by, with a great number of quality restaurants and entertainment to keep you busy
during your free time. There are plenty of hotels, so there is no excuse not to come and spend time with
friends and your fellow colleagues. And of course, once again, the Jewel of the Great Lakes Committee has Brasseler USA
provided another exciting and phenomenal line up of continuing education courses. So don’t just sit back,
sign up early to ensure your participation.
This year with the larger exhibit hall, exhibitors will be able to surround the nucleus of your WDA, and
show you their latest and greatest products and services. The exhibit hall will have 140 booths occupied
by local, regional and national companies that represent the full spectrum of dental products and services. Delta Dental of Wisconsin
Because of the larger exhibition hall, we will also be able to provide seating for the lunch that is traditionally offered to all CE
attendees. What that means is, rather than leaving the premises to obtain a bite to eat, you can remain on site, which will allow
you the opportunity to not only thank those who help support your Annual Session, but also give you time to take care of your
business in the exhibit hall. Our goal is to provide you with the convenience of an all-in-one setting. Colgate
I really look forward to working with all of the great volunteers in the Milwaukee area who will be hosting the 2008 Jewel of
the Great Lakes. The local volunteers are once again happy to provide you with the information you need to know about the
meeting, and suggest a restaurant or something to do after the meeting. Milwaukee has a lot to offer and one of those must-do’s
is a trip to the newly renovated and upscale Third Ward. We’ve got the perfect opportunity for you to do just that! Join us for a Lord’s Dental Studio, Inc.
special pre-session reception at the Eisner Museum of Advertising on Wednesday, April 30 from 7 – 9 p.m. This exciting social
event will help kick-off the WDA’s celebration. Come early and you’ll have the opportunity to browse through the many shops,
art galleries and restaurants in the area.
I would be remiss if I did not thank the following people, without whose help this event would not be taking place:
          • More than 50 volunteers who are serving on this year’s Local Host Committee Patterson Dental Supply
          • Members of the Jewel of the Great Lakes Committee who spent countless hours scouting meetings throughout the
country, and meeting face-to-face to plan the best possible event for you. Members of your WDA Jewel of the Great

programs. Please take the opportunity to visit them in the exhibit hall and say thanks!
