SUMMARY
Under the President & CEO, plans and directs marketing of organization's products and services by
performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be
assigned.

Establishes strategic marketing plans to achieve corporate objectives and increase market share and
profitability of products and services. Ability to develop and use electronic and web based media to
increase market share and branding/image awareness.

Develops and executes comprehensive marketing plans and programs, both short and long range, to
support sales and revenue objectives of organization and long-term profitability. Create systems and
develop strategies to measure the effectiveness of marketing programs and the ROI.

Researches, analyzes, and monitors financial, technological, and demographic factors to capitalize on
market opportunities and minimize effects of competitive activity. Oversee the development,
implementation and analysis of market research. In addition, have the proven ability to use research
findings to develop strategies that increase market share, achieve sales goals, identify revenue streams and
increase revenues.

Plans and oversees advertising and promotion activities including print, online, electronic media, and
direct mail. Guide and direct overall media strategies, communications programs, trade-related public
relations and editorial opportunities, and advertising programs

Serves as liaison with outside agencies on ongoing promotional campaigns. Strategically plan, manage
and analyze creative media planning and advertising for marketing efforts to achieve sales/corporate
goals.

Oversees development and production of promotional and collateral materials. Guide and direct all
corporate collaterals, web site content, marketing materials and client communications.

Develops and recommends product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy to produce the highest
possible long-term market share.

Achieves satisfactory profit/loss ratio and market share in relation to preset standards and industry and
economic trends.
Represent the Corporation at industry functions and make presentations to various industry stakeholder
groups. Joint responsibility with senior level sales staff for creating and planning special programs to
advance client relationships.
Guide and direct overall creative direction including responsibility for developing and positioning
corporate branding.

Oversees and evaluates market research and adjusts marketing strategy to meet changing market and
competitive conditions.

Monitors competitive products and marketing activities.

Oversees development and maintenance of customer database.

Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers and key community and strategic
partners. Develops strategies and recommendations for strategic alliances, business opportunities and
partnerships with other organizations to help us meet our sales goals and objectives. This includes
forming effective relationships with industry stakeholders and membership organizations to generate
successful marketing strategies

Resolves conflicts and facilitates changes in structure of marketing group to ensure objective fulfillment
and swift response to marketing problems and opportunities.

Conducts marketing surveys on current and new product concepts, and provides feedback for future
product development.

Guides preparation of marketing activity reports and presents to executive management.

Establishes and maintains a consistent corporate image throughout all product lines, promotional
materials, and events.

Develops and manages marketing operating budget. Ensures effective control of marketing results, and
takes corrective action to guarantee that achievement of marketing objectives falls within designated
budgets.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages two subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of two employees in the Marketing Division.
Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Also directly supervises
one non-supervisory employee. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the
organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training
employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining
employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university with degree in Marketing or related field;
and seven years related experience including four years supervisory experience and/or training; or
equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical
procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and
procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of
managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and
fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions,
percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an
extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract
and concrete variables.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Excellent organizational skills. Ability to relate to clients and businesses in a professional manner.
Knowledge of hospitality industry, marketing principles, national markets preferred. Computer literacy
with hands-on experience with word processing, spreadsheet and sales & marketing applications.
Excellent personal ethics, integrity adhering to the Corporation's visions and values. Ability to work
evenings, weekends and holidays as needed in addition to standard office hours. Ability to travel out of
town as needed.
