									Canara Bank, a leading nationalized Bank, calls for Expression of Interest
from Creative and Advertising Agencies, who can handle the entire gamut of
print, audio and visual communications and give complete solutions through
excellent creatives, media planning, media buying etc. to our advertising
requirements in various media. For applications format, eligibility criteria,

The application forms should be accompanied by a non-refundable fee of
`. 10,000/- by way of Demand Draft/ Postal Order issued by a scheduled
commercial bank, drawn in favour of Canara Bank and payable at Bangalore.
Application forms received without the fee of `. 10,000/- will not be
entertained.

Last date for receipt of application forms -   22nd June 2011 up to 5.00 p.m.

QUALIFYING CRITERIA:

The agencies meeting the following minimum qualifying criteria only are
eligible to apply. Agencies which do not meet the following qualifying criteria
will be rejected at the first stage.

1]   The Agency should have a pan India presence.
2]   They should have a representative/ registered office at Bangalore with
     the
       required infrastructure for handling an account of the size and stature
     of our Bank.
3]   The Agency should have experience of at least five years of working on
     advertising in the Banking industry and a minimum staff strength of 15.
     They should have an independent creative and media planning team in
     Bangalore and facilities to plan and execute campaigns, both in the print
     and electronic media at the national level.
4]   They should have the resources to handle multi-media, multi-lingual
     publicity campaigns, with proficiency and proof reading facilities in major
     Indian languages.
5]   The Agency should have a total net worth of atleast `. 1.00 crore as on
     31st March 2011.
6]   The Agency should have a minimum billing of Rs. 15.00 crore per
     annum for the past three consecutive years.
7]   They should be an empanelled advertising agency currently for at least
     two public sector/private Banks/Financial Institutions.
8]   The Agency should have INS / IBF accreditation.
SCOPE OF WORK:

The scope of work for the empanelled agencies shall be, but not limited to,
the following:
    Conceptualization of creative and designing.
    Designing layouts for
            Brochures/Leaflets
            Posters/Bulletins/Newsletters
            Stage Backdrops
            Annual Reports/Press Booklets etc.
            Tender Ads/Notices/Statutory Ads etc.
    Planning a Media Campaign for our bank along with a cost-benefit
        analysis.
    Developing creatives for release of our advertisements in Print,
        electronic and outdoor media.
    Development of TV Commercials and Radio Jingles on our various
        products and services.
    Release of advertisements in Print and Electronic channels.
    Event Management Support for arranging programmes like launch of
        new products / Conferences/AGM/EGM/Conferences/ Exhibitions etc.
    Giving support in PR activities .
    Any other work related to corporate publicity, media campaign, etc.


PROCEDURE FOR EMPANELMENT:

a}   All the proposals received will be scrutinized to assess the eligibility
     based on the qualifying criteria. Those proposals which do not meet the
     qualifying criteria will be rejected.

b}   The agencies fulfilling the eligibility criteria will be asked to submit CDs
     containing a presentation of some of their recent creatives, preferably for
     the financial sector, done by their Bangalore Team, both for print and
     electronic media.

c}   The agencies will then be shortlisted based on the creatives.

d}   The shortlisted agencies will be invited to make a presentation on a
     specific campaign/product as decided by the Bank.
e}    The agencies will be evaluated based on the following:
      Recent creative work done for other Banks for print media.
      The agency's understanding of the needs of the financial sector,
       especially of Canara Bank.
      Recent posters/brochures on products designed by them for other
       banks.
      TV Commercials/Radio Jingles made by them for other corporates.
      Availability of infrastructure facilities.
      Media buying capabilities.

The final selection of agencies for empanelment will be done based on the
above.

JOB ALLOCATION :

The empanelled agencies will be required to service the Bank for routine ad
releases. In the event of specific launch of a media campaign, or for release
of any other advertisement, the Bank reserves the right to contact any/all
empanelled agencies to develop/submit creatives and also to distribute the
creative so developed amongst one or more agencies selected for further
release of the same to the media.

The Bank reserves the right to terminate the services of any agency at any
point of time without assigning any reason whatsoever.
