    More than 2,000 people gathered in September to celebrate
    the unveiling of the redeveloped Campbelltown Library.                    Campbelltown Council

    Completely refurbished, the facility is now home to
    50 public access computers, a gallery space, meeting
    rooms, outdoor reading areas and refreshments as well
    as a children’s area with an interactive storytelling tree.               Christmas
    Teenagers can also take advantage of both a chill                         and a happy
    zone and quiet study area and everyone can enjoy the
    extended opening hours over the weekend.                                  & safe
    Face painting, jumpy castle, sausage sizzle, drinks and                   New Year
    ice creams and the unveiling of community artwork
    were among the activities at the action-packed fun day,
    held in September.
    Manager Library Services Ursula Hickey said the fun
    day was organised to encourage the community to
    rediscover the library as it has changed dramatically.
    “I’d urge everyone – young and old - to visit the new
    Campbelltown Library. Libraries are amazing places,”
    she said.
