                             Introduction
      The name Rick’s Café Boatyard is one that has evolved from the
Rick’s Café Americain restaurant that was downtown Indianapolis in Union
Station for 10 years. Inspired by the bar/restaurant from the movie
“Casablanca”, Rick’s Café Boatyard has been on beautiful Eagle Creek Res-
ervoir since 1994.
      Rick’s Café Boatyard is a waterfront restaurant offering its guests
beautiful views of the reservoir which includes some of the most
spectacular sunsets. Inside and outside dining are set parallel to a huge
cocktail deck area, which is perfect on any summer evening and is great to
hang out with friends and family . This area can be enjoyed for a casual
meal any day or night. Our extensive menu can be enjoyed either in the
dining areas or the cocktail deck area. Everyone can find their favorite
dish.
      A staple of casual elegance on the Westside of Indianapolis, Rick’s
Café Boatyard offers the best several worlds with great food, a great
atmosphere, and great live entertainment.
      Rick’s Café Boatyard is not only a beautiful restaurant with an inside
and outside bar area. Our two event rooms can be rented for a wedding,
holiday party, family gathering, business meeting, birthday party, or any
other event that you would like to share with friends, colleagues, or family.

                           Diamond Room
      The largest of the two rooms is our diamond room, which is located
upstairs from the restaurant. This room has a capacity of 110 persons and
has a private cocktail balcony attached. Vast high ceilings, along with win-
dows that look out, make this room a favorite among guests.
      Equipped with a private bar, private restroom facilities, and a stair-
way that looks out over Eagle Creek Reservoir, this room is perfect for any
event.

                              Pearl Room
       Our downstairs room, the pearl room, has a capacity of 50 persons.
This room gives a party a comfortable, family-dinner atmosphere.
       The pearl room is equipped with a private bar area and is just right
for a smaller group of friends or family.

                             Tent Events
      Having your event in a tent, overlooking the water, is one of our
other options here at Rick’s Café Boatyard. Same great food with a spec-
tacular view. Fees for the tents vary with the size of the event.

                         VIP Cocktail Deck
      Our newly remodeled VIP deck is located off of our extremely popular
cocktail deck. Bench seating along with tables make this perfect for
mingling for your guests.
      This area is perfect for that get-together wanting to have great
hors d’oeuvres and cocktails. The VIP deck can hold a party of 60 guests
and is perfect for a cocktail party. Our VIP area comes with outdoor pillows
and the most spectacular view available here at Rick’s Café Boatyard.

   Daytime events must conclude by 4:30 p.m., evening events may begin
    6:00 or after. Rooms are contractually booked for four hours.

    Beginning and ending times must be accurate. Event rooms will
    be assigned to other groups based on your scheduled arrival and
                            departure time.

   Expected guest counts must remain within room capacity guidelines.
   Food and beverage minimums will apply.

                           ~Service Charge~
     This charge applies to the use of standard linens (tablecloths and
napkins), flatware, china, and glassware. All parties are subject to this
19% service charge.

                               ~Sales Tax~
     All food and beverage purchases are subject to
a 9% sales tax.

Outside wine bottles are prohibited except for the following and are subject
to a $20.00 corkage fee:

    Bottles of aged wine no longer on the market for sale

                           Event Extras

                          ~Centerpieces~
      Centerpieces can be one of the highlights for your event that will add
to the atmosphere. Rick’s Café Boatyard prides itself on the variety and
uniqueness of our centerpieces and ambience that they create. These cen-
terpieces and table set-ups can be provided for events at a $4.00, $7.00, or
$10.00 charge per table.
      There are several different styles available to choose from and we can
work with you to build something unique for your event.

                   ~Wedding Cake Cutting~
      A $1.50 per person cake cutting fee will apply to cakes cut and served
by Rick’s Café Boatyard staff for a wedding event.
      This fee includes a skirted table, staff to cut and serve the cake, and
appropriate china and flatware is provided.


                     ~DJ and Dance Floor~
      DJ’s of your choice are allowed to play for no charge from Rick’s Café
Boatyard. They must provide their own equipment and Rick’s Café Boat-
yard is not responsible for any outside DJ equipment lost or broken.
      We can provide a dance floor for a $75.00 fee. This fee includes the
set-up and take-down of the dance floor. This fee may be waived with a
purchase of one of our bar service packages. Please ask a coordinator for
details.

                          ~Chair Covers~
      Rick’s Café Boatyard can provide chair covers for your event for $8.00
per chair. Several colors are available to choose from. If you would like to
provide your own chair covers, a $3.00 per chair charge will apply.

                            Event Extras

                        ~Time Extensions~
      Event rooms are contractually booked for a four hour block. You may
choose to extend the time of your event by one hour for a fee of $100.00.
This must be arranged in advance of your event.
       Daytime events would need to extend their time at the
                          start of the function.

                ~Big Screen TV/ DVD Player~
      Planning on a movie/slide show for your event, Rick’s Café Boatyard
can provide the use of our 50” TV, along with our DVD player for $50.00.
This fee is for the whole four hour time block.
      Rick’s Café Boatyard staff is not responsible for the functioning of the
TV and DVD player.


                    ~Other A/V Equipment~
     We can provide a screen for your event for $18.00; a microphone for
$25.00; flip chart and easel for $15.00.

                             Event Contract
                                    Booking Policy
       Your event reservation for the date and time for your event will be secured
            ONLY upon receipt of the signed contract AND the room fee.

                                   Payment Policy
                    60 days prior: 50% of the total estimate due
                      30 days prior: 40% of total estimate due
                      Remaining balance due end of function
                Personal checks will not be accepted for pre-pays within
                            30 days of the scheduled event

                                Cancellation Policy
                   60-90 days prior: 50% of estimated event cost
                   30-60 days prior: 75% of estimated event cost
                 Within 30 days prior: 100% of estimated event cost
                    Cancellations MUST be received in writing

In the event that Ricks should need to cancel an event due to circumstances beyond our control (i.e.,
acts of God, public emergency, etc.) we will work with the client to reschedule the event, or to refund
deposits. Liability for a cancelled or rescheduled event is limited to the amount paid by the client at
the time of cancellation.
Function sponsors will conduct the function in full compliance with all local, state and federal laws
and will immediately lose right of usage if not in compliance
Client agrees to be responsible for any and all damage done to the premises during the period of
time for set-up, event and tear down by the client, client’s guests, suppliers and other third parties
who are present at the client’s request.
Clients are not allowed to attach signs or decorations to the walls. Any candles must be enclosed in a
container, and have liners underneath.
All set up requirements from outside vendors (i.e. DJs, décor, cakes) will be scheduled according to
the availability of the room. These arrangements must be approved by the banquet managers, and
may not be able to be scheduled until 1 week prior to your event.
Rick’s will not assume ANY responsibility for the damage or loss of any merchandise or articles left on
the premises prior to, during or after the event.
The client will be presented with a final invoice at the conclusion of the event for any unpaid balance
due. That balance is due immediately by credit card or cash.
In the event that Rick’s is required to obtain legal counsel to enforce any provision of the contract,
client agrees to be responsible for all reasonable attorney fees and court costs incurred.
A non-refundable room rental charge applies to all events. The rental charge includes: all room set-
up, table set-up and breakdown, and clean-up. Daytime events must conclude by 4:30, evening
events may begin at 6:00. There is a four hour limit for any function.
A service charge applies to the use of standard linens, flatware, glassware and china. All food and
beverage purchases are subject to a 19% service charge and 9% sales tax.
Rick’s Café Boatyard provides exclusive food and beverage service for your event. We are unable to
allow any food or beverage to be brought into our facility, with the exception of specialty cakes. All
food and beverage must be consumed during the scheduled function time. WE ARE UNABLE TO AL-
LOW ANY UNCONSUMED FOOD OR BEVERAGE TO BE TAKEN FROM THE FACILITY. Serving
time for any buffet meal will not exceed one and a half hours.
A final guaranteed head count is due 10 business days prior to the event. After that time, atten-
dance cannot be reduced and the full confirmed headcount will be charged. If the guaranteed head
count is not provided by the deadline, you will be charged for the number of guests noted on the esti-
mate, or the actual number of guests in attendance, whichever is greater.
Any changes to time, food, beverage, etc. made after the deadline cannot be guaranteed. If accom-
modations can be made, there will be an additional 10% service charge. Banquet prices are subject to
change.
A $1.50 per person cake cutting fee will apply to cakes cut and served by Rick’s Café Boatyard staff
for a wedding event. This fee includes a skirted table, staff to cut and serve the cake, and appropriate
china and flatware is provided.

There will be a $40.00 bartender fee for any beverage service package including hosted or cash bar.
A dance floor can be provided for a $75.00 fee. No charge for an outside DJ service.
