                    Prepare for Your Future Now: Queens Library’s College Fair
                                          In what has become a very popular annual event, Queens Library is proud to announce its
                                          4th annual college fair. Make sure you mark your calendar for Saturday, April 16 from
                                          10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The college fair, held at Queens Library at Langston Hughes,
                                          100-01 Northern Boulevard, Corona, will give students and parents a wealth of information
                                          about preparing for college.

                                          Although the schedule is still being finalized, there will be meetings with recruiters
                                          scheduled during the morning, while in the afternoon, we plan to offer informational
                                          programs, such as how to obtain financial aid or tips for preparing your application. CUNY
                                          On Wheels, the City University of New York’s mobile unit that brings admissions and
                                          financial information to Queens’ residents, will also be at Langston Hughes for the fair.

                                          Since we’ll have representatives on hand from trade schools and specialized schools, we

     Queens Library regularly offers free programs to preschoolers from 12 months – 5 years old.
     Mother Goose Time — This interactive program features nursery rhymes, fingerplays and songs. For babies 12-24 months accompanied
     by a caregiver.
     Toddler Learning Center — Play and learn with your child in a free, five-session workshop that includes toys, games, puzzles and other
     items selected to enhance a toddler’s educational and physical development. For children ages 18-36 months accompanied by a caregiver.
     Preregistration is required.
     Toddler Time — These programs are carefully designed, age-appropriate programs that encourage literacy development in children from
     ages 2- 3 1/2, accompanied by a caregiver.
     Picture Book Time — These programs incorporate stories with a variety of other activities. They are designed to give
     pre-kindergarten children important skills to encourage later success while enjoying the world of stories/books. For ages 3 1/2 to 5 years.
