                         SAMPLE PROBLEM STATEMENTS

   The problem of this study is to determine the attitudes and behaviors of college students

    regarding breakfast eating.

   The problem of the study is to compare the donation attitudes and behaviors regarding world

    hunger between freshmen and seniors, and females and males.

   The problem of this study is to determine the attitudes and behaviors of college students with

    regard to informal economic activities.

   The problem of this study is to determine the knowledge and attitudes of college students

    regarding payday loans.



                         SAMPLE RESEARCH OBJECTIVES

1. Do male and female college students differ in their breakfast eating behavior?

2. Do freshmen and seniors differ in their breakfast eating behavior?

3. Do college students who eat breakfast regularly tend to have a higher GPA than those who

    don’t?

4. Are athletes more likely to eat breakfast than students who don’t participate in sports?

5. Do males or females tend to donate more to world hunger?

6. Do freshmen or seniors tend to donate more to world hunger?
7. Does awareness affect an individual’s attitude or behavior toward world hunger?

9. What motivates people to donate?

10. How can donating become easier for college students?

11. What are the messages and media that might be used to encourage college students to use

   online auctions?

12. What messages and media should be used to advertise online bookstores to college students?



                                 SAMPLE HYPOTHESES

1. No significant difference exists between males and females with regard to breakfast eating

   behavior.

2. No significant difference exists between freshmen and seniors with regard to breakfast eating

   behavior.

3. No significant difference exists between athletes and non-athletes with regard to breakfast

   eating behavior.

4. No significant difference exists between males and females with regard to perceptions of

   informal economic activity.

5. No significant difference exists between males and females with regard to participation in the

   informal economy.

6. No significant difference exists between domestic and international-oriented students with

   regard to participation in the informal economy.

7. No significant difference exists between males and females with regard to donation habits.
