                      Outline for NCW/FOTW Business Plan
                                December 2, 2009

I. Executive Summary

Our Mission-

We are advocates who provide various support and financial assistance for the
restoration of the Westmont Theatre and its use as a venue for the performing and
film arts.

Friends of the Westmont Theatre -

As advocates and supporters, we use numerous forums and means to accomplish
our mission of re-establishing The Westmont Theatre as a venue for the
performing and film arts. We believe a restored Westmont Theatre will benefit
Haddon Township by: 1) Strengthening community image and sense of place
including how we are viewed by those outside our community; 2) Supporting
economic development by stimulating additional new businesses as well as
increasing revenue for our existing local businesses; 3) Increasing property values;
4) Promoting the township with a viable destination as a unique cultural arts
center; and 5) Fostering education, development, and appreciation of the arts to
people of all ages.

Recognizing that the Westmont Theatre, the last surviving vaudeville-era theatre
left in Camden County, is to be treasured, our group was formed. We believe it
should serve as an example of a progressive community fulfilling a duty tor restore
an important historical resource that can be a major asset to the Township. We
formed first as a body of people involved in the documentary “The Grand Old
Lady “ beginning in 2006. From this group, a core group of members, which
continues to grow, have, and will continue to meet. Our group is not now, nor was
ever "tied to,” "working for," or “in favor” of any specific developer's proposal,
organization, individual or government entity. Our group will meet with people or
groups that can assist or provide valuable input into how we can accomplish our
mission. However we have, and will continue to always advocate and demonstrate
our support to renovate and reuse the theatre only. As proposals are discussed or
presented in public forums, we will speak as advocates for the benefits and
necessity of restoration of the theatre only--our mission. When we speak or
otherwise advocate,it is solely in the interest of our mission, even if we speak at the
request of a developer, a government entity, or an individual. We area non-profit
withthe goal of becoming a 501 ( c ) 3 for any fund-raising or developer’s purpose.

II. Body of the Plan and Organizational Structure

                         ***** NOT SUBMITTED *****

III. Products, Programs or Services

      a. Its 1200+ seat capacity, full-fly stage and huge screen are unique in the
region. (and the last in Camden County!) Its mission is to enrich Haddon
Township’s quality of life by offering first class performing arts and encouraging
the use of the venue for social, educational, and professional events.

Broadway touring Theatre, Broadway Touring Musicals, Celebrity Name
Entertainers, Symphony performances, Guest artists with the Symphony,
Symphony lecture series, Chamber Music, Opera Productions (touring. Film, and
video), Touring Dance Productions, Classic Film, Talent Competitions, Comedy
Club, Cabaret Music, Opening Night Dinner parties with meet and greets plus
similar after show parties, along with other Fundraising Galas featuring live
entertainment.

The venue will be one of the few concert halls in Camden County. In
addition to symphonic music and dance, the Westmont may host musicians who
now play other venues such as the Tower, Keswick, Sellersville, and Colonial
theatres in Pennsylvania, and Wilmington's Grand Opera House. The Westmont
anticipates a concert calendar that will appeal to a wide range of audiences with
possible performers including country performers, such as Roseanne Cash and
Emmylou Harris, folk/country performers such as Nanci Griffith,singer-
songwriters such as Joan Baez, and Bob Dylan, and folk-rock musicians such as
Mark Knopfler and Billy Bragg.

       b. The Westmont Theatre will be restored to its former glory and will be
reopened with the same purpose it had in 1927 – to serve as the hub of the
community. Programs and performances held at the theatre will not only cater to
an adult audience but to a young adult and a child audience, as well. More
traditional types of performances would include live-performance plays, band and
orchestral performances, ballet and dance recitals, and film screenings.

There is a plethora of potential for less traditional events that can be hosted
at the theatre, such as…

   1. Holiday Movie Screenings –

   2. Trilogy Nights – Screen classic film trilogies back to back to back

    3. Film Club – Screen lesser known but great foreign/independent/studio films
that never received the attention they deserved. The screening will be followed by
conversation and discussion on the film.

   4. Guest Lecture

   5. Film Festival

   6. 24 Hour Film Fest

    7. Classic Films. Screenings of Hollywood and international masterpieces in the
kind of venue in which they were made to be seen. Free admission to senior
citizens.

   8. Museum – A museum area or gallery with vintage film equipment, pictures
and memorabilia from Hollywood

   9. Westmont Theatre tee shirts can be for sale, mugs, hats, a book that recounts
the amazing history of the theatre… standard gifts....a personalized brick program
where people pay $100 for a brick with their name on it and have it placed outside
the front doors.

   10. We also have the option of renting out the theatre for private parties and
corporate events and such.

IV. Marketing Plan

Our Market - Primary market is the Haddon Avenue Corridor, supplemented by the
balance of Camden County and nearby portions of Burlington County. The
proximity of the PATCO rail line and the Lindenwold interchange with the
Atlantic City Line certainly extends our sub-markets to include the area from
Atlantic City to and including Philadelphia. For ALL of these communities it will
be our goal to foster, teach, educate, self improve, and of course, entertain! While
meeting this mission, we must strive to be “all inclusive,” fulfilling the needs of
the youth, challenged, and elderly within all of our markets. Direct Mail
membership invitations describing various benefit levels.

V. Operational Plan

The projection room will be equipped with two (2) variable speed 35mm
projectors to permit screenings of rare and classic film prints. The variable speed
units will permit silent films to be projected at their proper speed. Projection lenses
will be provided for anamorphic, wide screen, and academy format films. A four
channel stereo sound system will include a Dolby processor, 4 stereo power
amplifiers, 3 JBL or equal behind the screen speakers with HF/LF crossover, 8 JBL
or equal Surround speakers, and 2 JBL or equal Sub Woofers. The projection
screen willbe installed on an aluminum frame to permit flying, and shall have a
silver finish to allow for presentation of 3D entertainment. For digital/3-D
projection, the booth will be equipped with a BARCO P-2000 (single phase) digital
projector, required server and automation equipment.

The projection room equipment will also include two(2) xenon follow spots.
Stage equipment shall include: borders, foots, audio/lighting mixing and control
board in the auditorium. Screen curtain, Stage curtain, and permanent cyclorama.
1300 seats, model "Alessandria Convention" will be provided and installed by
Preferred Seating. In the future, projection equipment will be updated to include
the capability of presenting widegauge 70mm films with six-track playback to
exhibit some of the growing list of vintage and newly-minted prints in their 70mm
format. The Westmont would be one of only three theatres in the New York to
Washington corridor with this capability.

VI. Management and Organizational Team

The Friends of the Westmont Theatre has assembled a management team
including those that will serve as principals (officers of the board of directors), key
management employees and an expert advisory board (who will assist in both
arts/theatre-related operations and identification and cultivation of active financial
sponsors). The Friends of the Westmont Theatre will operate as a non-profit [501
(c)3] tenant-operator in conjunction with a for-profit owner/developer to optimize
advantages of benefits and requirements under Federal laws and tax regulations
effecting fundraising, tax credits and restoration.
In the interim and upon incorporation and recognition of 501 (c) 3 status,
The Friends of the Westmont Theatre will operate with the registered address:

Friends of the Westmont Theatre
     305 Briarwood Avenue
     Haddonfield, NJ 08033
     Registered Agent: Allen F. Hauss

Executive Board -- Officers for the fiscal year 2009:
President: Allen F. Hauss
Vice-President: William B. Brahms
Treasurer: Brent J. Donaway
Secretary: ______________

The Friends of the Westmont Theatre recognize the importance of
maintaining a strong balance of local citizens, film and performing arts
professionals and civic leaders. The following Curricula Vitae outlined the
individuals who have agreed to assist and participate in The Friends of the
Westmont Theatre. These individuals will serve as the nucleus for the Friends
board, as contributing members and supporters and in advisory capacities to ensure
the success of the Friends of the Westmont Theatre and the Westmont Theatre.

The team represents a strong group of professionals with extraordinary depth
of experience in Architecture and Renovation/Restoration, Non-Profits and Arts
Groups, and Arts and Performance Venue Management and Operations (inc.
Ownership, General Management, Advertising/Promotions and Marketing,
Booking, Artists Representation, Finance, Fundraising/Grant-Writing/Sponsorship,
Performance and Production Technical Operations--on and off-stage, Public
Relations and Security). Additionally the group has a great breadth of experience
working with State and Local Government, Professional Organizations and
Societies, Other Theatre and Arts Venues (a valuable source of talent and advice),
Advocacy, Tourism, Education, Writing/Publishing, Real Estate, and importantly
Haddon Township and Regional (Camden County and surrounding counties and
states) Historical and Arts Projects and Causes. Most of the team are current or
former residents of Haddon Township. The large degree of local talent and
professional investment is a powerful element to insure success. It would likely be
impossible to assemble another group with not only the skills, network and
professional experience in the requisite areas to operate the Westmont Theatre, but
one with the important local and residential investment, community base, and
benefits.

      c. Need for financing

The Westmont Theatre will require outside support for both the restoration
of the theatre and for on-going program activities. Approaches to potential private
institutional funders (foundations and corporations) will be targeted by their past
giving and by written guidelines, if available. Private institutional funding sources
are expected to include local and regional foundations with a history of giving to
arts organizations in SouthJersey and corporations and companies with a major
business presence in Camden County.

Potential funding sources will depend upon the needs identified.Preliminary
research has identified several potential funding sources including the William G.
Rohrer Foundation, the William Penn Foundation, the Geraldine Rockefeller
Dodge Foundation, as well as corporate fiving programs and foundations of
Comcast, Martin Marietta, Campbell's Soup, Wegman's and Target.Other funding
possibilities include local businesses such as First Colonial Bank and PJW
Restaurant Group.

   VII. . Letters of Support

Letter of Support From Joe Dante:

We've all heard how we have to change with the times, but for me that doesn't
include erasing the past. The Westmont is just the latest of the survivingvintage-era
movie palaces threatened with the wrecker's ball in the name of "progress". How
anyone can reason that strip malls contribute to the welfare of a community more
than a bustling arts center with a storied past is a mystery to me. There are
precious few of these historic sites left. They need to be saved for new generations.
Save the Westmont! 11/15/09
