softball SUMMER CAMPS
FASTPITCH CAMP (Offense and defense position work)
June 21-24, Cost $375 (resident) $275 (commuter)
Ages 8 and up - Campers must be at least 12 years old to stay in the
dorms as a resident camper
This camp will provide intense instruction to players of all positions. Skills learned
throughout the day will be put together during scrimmage games which will be
played in the evening sessions.
PITCHERS (offense included)
Our pitching instruction will stress the fundamentals of throwing fastpitch and
will be geared toward increasing speed and gaining control of their pitches.
Pitchers will also have an opportunity to expand their pitching repertoire. Several
different grips and techniques of throwing the drop ball, curve ball, change-up,
screwball, and rise ball will be presented. The purpose and strategy of each
pitch will be discussed.
CATCHERS (offense included)
Our catching instruction will focus on the proper defensive techniques of the
catching position. Catchers will receive instruction on stance, blocking balls,
throwing to bases, pop-ups, signal calling, and knowledge of the strike zone
rules. Game defensive strategy will also be discussed.
INFIELDERS/OUTFIELDERS (offense included)
Our fielding instruction will focus on the various defensive techniques for
infield and outfield positions. Instruction for all fielders will include throwing,
fielding, and position work. Team defensive strategy and play making will also
be discussed.
OFFENSIVE BREAKDOWN (sliding, base running included) INSTRUCTORS
