Europe, Middle East & Africa Conference Series 2004 Sponsorship Proposal REVIEW VISION EMEA 2003 SUMMARY VISION 2003 EMEA was one of, if not the, most successful conference series focused on storage, that has taken place. VISION was a combination of 2 day and 1 day conferences which took place in 12 countries pan Europe, Middle East and Africa. Page 2 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY VISION EMEA 2004 May – October 2004 CONFERENCE SERIES OVERVIEW VISION is a free of charge end user IT Conference focused on storage and application management, targeting IT Professionals and a business audience. The content is delivered through a series of keynotes by industry leaders and breakout sessions presented by technology experts. Enhancing VISION EMEA there are a series of additional events that take place - Channel Partner update, Partner Exhibition, Technical Sessions, VISION evening reception. STRATEGY To educate and motivate customers and partners about VERITAS Software Solutions, and supporting partner solutions. OBJECTIVES • • • Attendee targets – total 4,325 VISION audience type target – average 65% end user and 35% channel partner 100% of customers to feel positive towards VERITAS as a direct result of attending VISION EMEA. VISION CONFERENCE In addition to the VISION conference there are a number of other activities taking place, some of which are offered in your sponsorship package. Please see summary below and following page for timings. CHANNEL PARTNER UPDATE Our Channel Partners will be invited to attend the VISION plenary sessions and then will be invited to attend an hour update (prior to the VISION lunch). This activity will be aimed at Senior Channel Management. This is not open to our sponsors to attend; however, this activity will draw a higher level audience to the VISION EMEA event and the partner exhibition. PARTNER EXHIBITION This will be located in the catering area and will be open throughout the conference. All Sponsor stands and the VERITAS stand will be in this area along with full catering. VISION RECEPTION Following the first day of VISION and to end the 1 day VISION EMEA events, VERITAS will be hosting an information reception in the Partner Exhibition area to give delegates further time to network and continue discussions with partners. This speaker slot will apply at all Tier 1 conferences and any additional Tier 2 conferences purchased by the Platinum sponsor. This speaker slot will be integrated as part of the Breakout Streams and not run as a separate stream. Page 5 VISION 2004 – BREAKOUT OVERVIEWS IT budgets are flat or declining. So is headcount. To enable them to plan their event, they will be given one contact to send through information and also for questions. Please note, there is limited availability of sponsorship packages and these will be allocated on a first come first served basis. For Platinum and Gold Sponsors, stand selection will be done in order of booking, so it is beneficial to book early. To ensure you are able to take advantage of all sponsorship opportunities it is vital that a signed contract, soft copy logo (high resolution in EPS file and high resolution JPEG or GIF file) and purchase order hard copy are received by 8 March 2004. Logos will not be put be put onto any materials until a signed booking form and hard copy purchase order have been received.
