                FIELD - FIT™
                A UNIQUE CONCEPT FOR CHOKE SELECTION
                T3 Energy Services is in the unique position of being able to offer Chokes with four basic trim styles, these being
                Positive, Needle & Seat, Rotary Disk and both Internal/External Sleeve Cage arrangements.

                Each trim style has a pressure recovery coefficient which has a significant effect when checking critical flow and
                cavitation values. The Choke/Trim combinations having the higher pressure recovery coefficient are less likely to
                cause problems. These are generalized in Fig. 1 where it can be seen that Choke/Trim combinations having pres-
                sure recovery coefficients approaching 1.0 are those designs which employ high internal friction elements.

                Technical considerations involve a sizing and selection process which in addition to capacity sizing, also
                involves a review of critical flows and cavitation values, noise emissions and fluid velocity.

                Commercial considerations are an extension of the technical considerations. T3 Energy Services ensures that

                the equipment offered is the best priced while meeting the process specifications.

                T3 Energy Services welcomes customer preferences, providing that all technical considerations are met.

                SPECIAL BOLTING DIMENSIONS
                      API 6A does not provide standards to regulate the dimensional
                distance between the connections of the inlet and outlet from the face
                to centerline on chokes. Cost associated with piping modifications and
                downtime are often required to replace an existing choke.
                T3 Energy Services’ Field-Fit Choke Program eliminates cost associat-
                ed problems with piping modification and downtime often required to
                replace an existing choke.
                      Standard Cor-Val model chokes have established bolting dimen-
                sions, though Field-Fit chokes are manufactured to fit anywhere in
                your field and will exactly replace any installed choke without costly

OEM TRIM STYLES TO FIT YOUR FIELD REQUIREMENTS.
       Spare parts interchangeability can be a critical consideration when selecting a choke design. After
years of inventory commitment within a company or field location, changing to an alternative non-inter-
changeable design is not always attractive. T3 Energy Services offers choke models designed to accept the
traditional needle and seat type trim and be fully interchangeable with other OEM replacement spares.

STEAM SERVICE
     T3 Energy Services manufactures many of the standard models in a high temperature version for steam
applications. Utilizing a stainless steel metal bonnet seal ring design and “Spring Loaded Pressure Energized
TFE” stem seal manufactured in various specialized proprietary material, upgrading to high-temperature appli-
cations to 800 deg. F. is readily accomplished. Contact our sales department with specific application details.

MULTI-STAGE TRIM
     A multi-stage trim design is available to address a variety of high pressure drop applications. This trim
design combats the undesirable effects of both cavitating and flashing conditions.

LOW-NOISE TRIM
     While providing a reduction in noise levels of 10 - 20 dBa as compared to standard trim designs, this
multi-stage trim provides for continued reliable operations.

METAL TO METAL BONNET SEALS
    T3 Energy Services has a Pressure Assisted Static Metal Seal Ring rated to pressures up to 20,000 psi.
The metal seal is durable and re-usable for many years of field operation.

STEPPING ACTUATOR CHOKE
PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION
The CVP-2003 Stepping Actuator is
designed to give a powerful 200 ft-lbs of
torque generated by pneumatic or
hydraulic pressure. Rotary to linear motion
is converted through the lead screw of a
low friction rotating stem nut assembly,
which ultimately engages the non-rotating
choke spindle.
The source of this power centers around a
uniquely designed bi-directional
multistep, rotary drive and pawl mechanism.

                advantages of pressure-balanced External Sleeve

                                                                           The CVC series is available with optional needle
                                                                           and seat, and Internal Plug Cage trim styles to suit
                                                                           specific applications. The performance features of
                                                                           the CVC series bring the oilfield choke to new lev-
                                                                           els of superior service. The functional superiority of
                                                                           the standard AISI 316 S.S. metal bonnet seal elimi-
                                                                           nates the typical age old problems of gas perme-
                                                                           ation, swelling and compression set that leads to
                                                                           seal failure. The typical spring-loaded pressure
                                                                           energized TFE stem seal supplied is a proprietary
                                                                           compound that provides superior resistance to a
                                                                           wide variety of media typically associated with
                                                                           drilling and production, with temperature service
                                                                           from minus 75 deg. F. to plus 550 deg. F. The
                                                                           External Sleeve Cage Trim offers the most efficient
                                                                           flow design in the industry, with added features of
                                                                           positive shut-off capability, reduced noise levels
                                                                           and reduced operating torque.

               MODEL CVC1ME AND CVC2ME
               The CVC series are the upgrade cage trim versions of the popular CH2/CH2M chokes. Replacing the conven-
               tional needle and seat with External Sleeve Cage Trim upgrades the existing CH2 or CH2M chokes in the field
               to the most efficient flow design in the industry. The CVClME chokes are a 1” max. orifice model supplied with
               metal bonnet and seat seals. The CVC2ME chokes are a 2” max. orifice model supplied with a metal bonnet
               seal. The “E” designates External Sleeve Cage trim. The Cage trim employs the principal of flow
               “Impingement” to dissipate and contain the destructive forces of cavitation within the heavy wall tungsten car-
               bide cage. The result is a laminar flow that greatly reduces the incidence of seat and body erosion, allowing a
                                                           higher cavitation index, and reduced noise levels. The External
                                                           Sleeve Cage trim incorporates tungsten carbide seat surfaces that are
                                                           protected from the high velocity flow of the orifice, which insures a
                                                           dependable positive shut-off Standard are the “Spring Loaded
                                                           Pressure Energized” The stem seals in various proprietary com-
                                                           pounds that offer reduced operating torque, and a wide range of tem-
                                                           perature and severe service conditions normally associated with

The Cor-Val Model CG8746 is
a complete replacement for the Gray* model 8746
with two bolt bonnet in 5000-10,000 psi cwp. The                                                            A”
CG8746 is a typical 90° angle body design using con-
ventional chevron style packing and o-ring bonnet
seal. Stem and seat are 3/4” orifice with a metal to
metal seat to body seal. Common replacement parts
are interchangeable with the original Gray* 8746.

                                                               among a very select group in its class. The 15K LNHC is subject to the most

                                                               severe demands of an oilfield production choke, and is designed with features
                                                               to make it one of the most rugged and durable production chokes available.
                                                               The External Sleeve Cage trim design offers the field proven advantages of
                                                               “impingement”, which contains the destructive forces of cavitation in the
                                                               heavy wall tungsten carbide, providing a clean, non-destructive laminar flow,
                                                               which dramatically reduces the incidence of cut out seats and body damage.
                                                               The External Sleeve is guided on the Cage to greatly minimize stem vibration
                                                               and the resulting wear. The CVC1ME utilizes a metal bonnet seal and seat

                                                               gasket to eliminate elastomer failures typically associated with gas perme-
                                                               ation. The stem seal is a modern “Spring Loaded Pressure Energized TFE”

                                                           WARRANTY POLICY
C O N D I T I O N S




                      Each of the companies comprising of T-3 Energy Services (each, a “Seller”) warrants the products it
                      manufactures and/or remanufactures to be free from defects in materials and workmanship which
                      materially and adversely impact performance or safety under normal use and services for a period of
                      one year after initial installation or 18 months from invoice date, whichever comes first.

                      Products found to be defective will be repaired or replaced, at Seller’s option, in a timely fashion at no
                      charge to the customer for such repair or replacement by Seller.

                      Seller will not be responsible for product damage caused by the process service conditions or dam-
                      age caused by customer misapplication or improper maintenance. Seller also shall not be responsible
                      for normal wear and tear.
