 The following activities, tasks and deliverables should be reviewed for each project on a case-by-case
 basis. Projects may utilize this model and adapt or tailor to the specific needs of the project. This means
 that not all activities and tasks are necessary for every project, and that additional activities and tasks
 may need to be included.
 Note: This project type is generally performed in support of an application development project. In this
 case participants on the project from NCS or CRM would manage or facilitate the work identified in this
 model. The Acquisition/Installation activities and tasks would be a sub project, managed by NCS or
 CRM, of the overall application development project. This is because purchase of hardware, servers, etc
 must be approved through NCS and prep and installation is their responsibility.
 Exceptions to this rule occur when a platform or set of components is being selected and acquired to
 establish a standard inventory of components and/or to create, enhance, or modify a list of authorized
 vendors. In this case there is no specific application development project. NCS and/or CRM would use
 the model for a project to accomplish these goals.
 Note: The degree of detail required will vary from project to project. It should be decided upon when
 the HW/LAN project is chartered.
