JUDGE – HELEN MARRIOTT-POWER

Many thanks to Sally for the invitation to judge and to the Bedford and District Cat Club for their
hospitality. I had an extremely busy but lovely day very ably assisted by my steward David Denny, I very
much look forward to the next time.

       AOV FOREIGN CHAMPION MALE
1 GCC LEGETT’S CH YESSO BARNATO 73b M 9.10.08
Chocolate Ocicat of two and a half years of age who has a modified wedge, longer than wide with slight
curve from muzzle to cheek. Nice in profile with gentle rise from bridge of nose to brow, slight dip at eye
line, then straight line to tip spoilt by minimal bump. Broad, well defined muzzle and moderate whisker
pinch. Level bite and fair depth chin. Moderately large ears, wide at base and set well apart and at 45
degree angle, gently rounded at neatly, tufted tips. Large, deep golden coloured, almond shaped eyes
set angled slightly upwards to the outer ear. Medium to large, solid body to this boy with good muscle
tone. Deep, broad chest and straight back. Substantial bone. Medium length, proportionately strong
legs and oval compact paws. Fairly long tail to balance body, broad at base and slightly tapering to tip.
Excellent satin like texture to short coat, close lying and with a sheen to it. Bright copper agouti ground
colour with clear chocolate spotting and markings. Strong facial markings and nice bulls eye pattern on
sides. Lovely temperament.
RGCC HEDGES’S CH KALUKIKATZ BLIZARD 76b 30 M 8.3.10
Slightly nervous thirteen month old boy but he handled well. Well grown solid body, long, sleek and
muscular with medium length good legs and large rounded paws. Medium length tail, thick and even,
carried low and with a rounded, dark tip. Short to medium length coat, fairly dense, soft and luxurious in
texture. Blue-Eyed Snow Spotted Bengal of ivory base colour with deep brown spotting. Clear ‘M’ on
face, pencil lines on cheeks, chin straps and vertical streaks over head. Broken lines and spots on legs,
rings on tail and spots on tummy. Reasonable breadth to medium wedge with rounded contours, high
cheek bones and head correctly small in proportion to body. In profile gentle curve from forehead to
bridge of nose, slight concave curve to nose then straight to tip. Nose could be broader so a trifle fine at
muzzle, level bite but slightly shallow chin. Fairly pronounced whisker pads. Thick muscular neck.
Slightly large sized ears, wide at base and rounded at tips but held turned slightly outwards. Almond
shaped blue eyes which I would prefer larger for perfection but correctly slanted towards the base of the
ear. Looked better when he was more alert.

showing a few white hairs in the bikini line. Fairly short blunt wedge. Good width to gently rounded top of
head between well set and shaped ears of rather generous size. In profile slight flattening to brow, good
nose break and fairly short straight nose. Level bite and fair depth chin. Good size and shape to well set
eyes with plenty of expression.
